Temperment: Front of the Line {alpha}
Without strong leadership this type of dog can become very pushy and overprotective. They tend to be very smart with a lot of personality. They will refuse to be ruled by anyone who is weaker minded than they are. In extreme cases they can become aggressive with humans or other dogs. Not because they are mean, but because in their minds the pack's survival depends on having a strong leader and they are confident that they have what it takes to be that leader. They are the soldiers ready to step up and rule the home if needed. You need to earn their respect in order to lead them. Size means nothing. The tiniest dogs can rule the extra large dogs and their humans. The power is all in the mind, not the amount or size of muscle on the body. {source}

Personality: In short, Phantomhive is (as her temperment suggests) alpha material. She's hard to train unless you earn her respect and keep the fact you are boss very clear with her, because if she gets the chance she will be as stubborn as an ox. Phantomhive strives to be the leader of the pack, and unless you work hard to keep her trained she will definitely climb to the top and be the dominant female. But whether it's because of her training or because of her natural strive, Phantomhive will climb to the top and be the royalty she was born to be.
Still, Phantomhive is observant and learns from her surroundings. While she isn't fond of kids or cats, she will tolerate kids, treating them as if they were pups needing to learn the ways around the pack. She is affectionate towards her trainer(s), and highly intelligent - almost to much for her own good. She is really mainly only dog-aggressive, acting sweet towards humans as long as they don't burst her bubble or challenge her authority - but still has to wear a muzzle, on occasions, mostly as dog shows because of the other dogs/

Relationships: Phantomhive of course lives within the kennels with the rest of the K3 Kennels dogs. But she doesn't necessarily get along with all of them.
{Kyle} Phantomhive is highly aggressive towards Kyle, because she can sense that Kyle is definitely not another alpha. Than again, the fact Kyle is a laid-back dog has probably saved her hide on multiple bad encounters with her kennel-mate; because if Kyle so much as gives Phantomhive a warning look, Phantomhive will attack. Not with a deadly force - but with enough force to make Kyle skittish around her. Phantomhive just wants to make sure Kyle - as a lower dog - knows who's boss, and won't be challenging who's leader anytime soon. Phantomhive also wants to make sure Kyle doesn't forget this.
{Soldier} With Soldier, on the other hand, Phantomhive doesn't show as much mercy. Yet, she almost shows more...you see, Soldier is more protective of what is his and almost achieves alpha status himself. If Phantomhive were to challenge him, she'd be pretty evenly matched, so while the two may scuffle a bit every now and then Soldier knows better than to provoke the female and Phantomhive doesn't usually give him more than a growl, ear flatten, and baring of the teeth before allowing her trainer to pull her along. Mostly with Soldier, Phantomhive's aggression appears when their in their separate kennels and she can bark at him through the walls.
{Nilo} Phantomhive and Nilo have a fairly okay relationship, considering her attitude towards Nilo's parents. He is just barely an adult dog; so while she may now and again nip at him if he gets to pushy or give him a warning snarl, it's usually with a little bit of a wag because he's practically a pup and is learning her boundaries early. Phantomhive mainly just has an issue with the older dogs in the kennel, but while Nilo will mouth her leg or he tail unless he really challenges her status as "kennel alpha," Phantomhive won't get upset with him until he maybe accidentally bites her.
{Tabby} Ironically, or maybe just surprisingly or shockingly, Phantomhive is pretty gentle with Tabby...pups obviously aren't her favorite, and she definitely has not hesitated in making is clear to Tabby that she - Phantomhive - is the boss, but as Tabby is a fairly submissive dog the young Kelpie hasn't given Phantomhive much competition to worry about. Thus, Phantomhive is almost...best friends with Tabby, it would seem. And that's no exaggeration - the two are almost inseparable when they do get together, and Tabby brings out the nice playful dog in Phantomhive. While their trainers are wary, as Phantomhive isn't usually well behaved around competition, as far as I can tell Phantomhive and Tabby won't have any problems for a long time and may even grow old together. They would even make nice mates some day, as they seem to get along wuite nicely and unexpectedly.

Brief History: Phantomhive was not-surprisingly born into a litter of one, and was the only pup. Her mother had been highly protective of her, but only a few weeks after the pup's birth her mother borderline abandoned her. Refusing to feed Phantomhive, it was required that her breeder take nurturing the puppy into their own hands. This may be what saved Phantomhive from being aggressive towards humans, but could also be why she doesn't like being below any dog.
At a month of age, Phantomhive was bought for $150 (her price was low, because she was weak due to her "abandonment" and because of her aggressive nature) by K3 Kennels and her training began along with getting her to learn her trainers are above her, even though she may be above the other dogs. As of now she is a small-time show dog, only in a few events and with a few rewards, however despite her dominant streak Todd {myself} has high hopes for her competing future and don't expect anything less than fame for The Opera Ghost.
