~Basics~Username: LadyAlpha
Name: Objective Affection
Nickname: Amity
Gender: Mare
Age: 13 years
Height: 15.2hh
~Personality~Amity, despite her sweet nickname, is a very
energetic and
determined horse. She's quite
stubborn and must be taught
respect right off the bat if you want any hope of being able to show her. However, she's very
athletic due to a high metabolism and could easily be used for any English event (
hunting being her strong point). She gets along with other horses surprisingly well,
interacting healthily without being pushy. She's quite the
flirt with geldings and stallions, and as such is usually kept with a few sour mares to get them to lighten up.
~Random Stats~Favorite treats:
Alfalfa cubes are the way to her heart
Picky about: Her
feet. The arena must be dry or she simply will not tolerate being ridden.
Health: Since Amity wasn't used for heavy sporting until recently, she's still being slowly worked, allowing her bones to strengthen.
Colors: In the hunter ring, Amity wears a simple white pad and black tack. Outside the ring, she wears a green halter, pad, and blanket.
Relations with my other Tekes: She gets along well with Presley; their personalities sort of match and they can wear each other out. She flirts with Sweep sometimes and teases him mercilessly others. Showtime often "chats" with her over the fence.
Thoughts on string: The heart-shaped beads work well with her flirty personality and name, and the red string complements her green equipment nicely.
Bad habits: Her main irritating hobby is
messing around with other horses. She can get
distracted at shows fooling around with some strange horse, which occasionally gets dangerous if some sullen mare takes it the wrong way. She's also a notorious
kicker, never tolerating anyone touching her feet. It takes determination to clean her hooves and shoe her.
Things that annoy her: Again, she's problematic about her feet, but she just generally hates things touching her. Drapes, ribbons, and things like that are a no-go; since she's been a hunter most of her life, she prefers
conservative tack.
