Kana was born in the beautiful state of Hawaii, growing up surrounded by a family full of surfers. Kana himself could never seem to quite master the art of gracefully gliding across the waves. From the beginning Kana always felt one step behind the rest of his family, always just a little too slow to keep up. Soon he found himself uncomfortable around other plumies as they discussed their talents and hobbies, something Kana never seemed to share with them..The first place he began to find comfort was with animals.
Kana found that he had a sort of talent working with animals, a certain place where he could thrive. Finding one place where he could truly fit in, he began devoting every moment of his free time to trying to help them. He began by spending his afternoons down at the beach searching up and down the coast for miles for animals in danger. He would do everything from untangle seagulls from trash to helping sharks out of fishnets. If they were more injured, he would take them into his house and nurture them back to health until they were able to be set free again. Kana loved nothing more than the thrill and pure feeling of knowing he saved a life, and knew that he wanted to do that everyday. Kana went to college, where he majored in zoology. After graduation he spent a year as an intern for a zoo that rescued injured animals from the wild or couldn't survive on their own. Kana fell in love with the place and could not part with it, so he got his job there as soon as the internship ended.
Kana works in the nursery of the zoo, specializing with big cats. Kana has a special connection with every animal he works with, considering each animal a dear friends of his. On a few rare occasions the zoo is unable to save an animal, each failure being unbearable to Kana. Kana once was able to pull a miracle and save an animal that the zoo could not, a puma, Baku. Baku was a tiny puma cub that was found blind in the wild. He required so much care and attention that the zoo couldn't afford to spend that amount of time on one animal, so they either had to send him away of put him down, Kana unable to let either happen. Kana stepped up and said he could raise Baku himself, since he lived on a large piece of land that would be perfect for Baku, and he had the time to care for him. Kana still has Baku today and they are best friends. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In human form Kana has tanned skin giving off an almost golden brown glow. He has an almost perfect complexion, his skin seemingly flawless except for a few very light freckles that appear along his nose during the summer time. He is fairly short for his age, reaching 5'3" in height currently. He does have a little bit of chub around his middle and a little on his thighs but nothing too much. His bright green eyes have flecks of lighter green that seem to brighten in the sun light and almost darken in the winter. His long dark brown hair has natural sun kissed tips from his days in the bright sun of Hawaii, but now he has dyed them the green color of his eyes. His hair is very long and reaches down to the middle/lower part of his back, but most of the times it is thrown up into a messy bun with a bright green scrunchies.
He is almost always seen in his zoo keeper uniform, but when he isn't in that he is has two looks he can be seen in. He can be seen in a sweatshirt and sweat pants, sitting at home playing with Baku and watching tv. He looks like this when he is around close friends or he knows he will be just spending the day home alone. The other look that he can be seen is the more formal look where he will wear a vest and a tie with dress pants and a belt. He will wear this on more formal occasions such as a date, or even a more casual version of this when he is going shopping or going places during the day.

Kana is a very spirited soul, always full of energy with a smile on his face. He loves to help others, and never has the hear to say no to anyone in need, both animals and plumies alike. Kana has a heart big enough for half the world and he would never change that about himself. Sometimes he kind heart can cause him to become a push over, as he lets others take advantage of his kindness. Kana is very gullible and innocent, but he does know when he is being taken advantage, he is just too kind to do anything about it.
Kana is normally very open about his feelings and thought towards his friends, but he has a very distant line of topics and things he will not discuss with anyone. Kana has a very distinct amount of information that he will share with others, but anything that is not in that information, Kana will most likely never share.
Kana is more of a homebody, when he is not at work he can be found at his house with this pets, watching Disney movies and eating snacks. He is comfortable going into town, for shopping and other visits, but going much farther then that puts him a little outside his comfort zone. He loves to visits new places, as long as it inst for a super long period of time or extremely far away. Kana will always be the one person in a group of friends, dragging everyone else along into new adventures, to go and see new things, but as long as it is in his comfort zone.
Kana always tries to be happy, knowing that being sad will only bring others around him down as well. Kana, despite his almost always present smile, is very sensitive and emotional, but will make sure that you never see it. He can take the littlest things to heart, thinking that just because someone didn't say hi when they saw them, means that they are mad at him. He will over analyze the smallest actions and keep him up for hours at night trying to figure out what it means, and probably crying if he concludes that the action is a bad sign. Due to this constant stress Kana does have a little bit of anxiety, nothing too serious, but he would never let his friends know, not wanting to cause anyone else stress by worrying over him.
Kana could almost be described as a child at heart. He always gets excited over the smallest of things, and can always be found getting into the stickers to find the ones with the most glitter or the animal ones. Kana loves to watch Disney movies at home with Baku will always be singing and humming their songs when ever he is alone. He has a huge sweet tooth, always craving something sweet and sugary, and also one to get a little hyper easily. Kana also has the energy of a child, full of life one moment and dead tied the next, leading him to often fall asleep in weird places in his house. Kana is a handful to be around, but is worth it for all the smiles that he will bring you.

Kana and Baku - - -
Kana has had Baku for almost two years now, as Baku approaches his second year. Even though the time that they have spent together has not been for too long, the two already have an inseparable bond. Baku, being a small blind puma cub, realizes heavily on Kana, so as soon he came to live with Kana he had to follow him around everywhere and relied on Kana for every meal and anything that he needed. Since Baku needed so much care an attention when Kana first had him, Kana had to spend almost every second of everyday caring for the small blind cub and this created an unforgettable bond between them.
Kana considers Baku his best friend, spending every after noon devoted to spending time with his little cub. He always makes sure that Baku gets at least two hours a day of play time or exercise, and wont fed him anything but the best food, and the occasion treat of cat nip. Kana loves to spend all of his time spoiling Baku, and buying him fun little toys, some people are dog or cat people and love to spoil their pets and Kana is no different.
Kana, since he is a complete pushover, Baku can get away with almost anything. Kana bought a bed for Baku, where he was supposed to sleep, but it has never been used since Kana is too big hearted to say no when Baku jumps on his bed. Kana spoils Baku with toys and treats, and anything he can, taking him on long walks and always doing anything that he thinks Baku might like.
These two have been with each other though a few tough times and nothing can ever break their friendship. Kana loves Buku so much and he likes to think that Baku loves him just as much. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Kana has always been a huge sucker for a good love story, never being able to resist. He has always been a big dreamer, and this applies to his romance as well. He is a huge sap for any love story or romance, and hopes that he can find his own love story ending one day. He always dreams about the prefect dates, and growing old together with his loved one.
Kana can be a little flirty with others, always trying to see if something will spark, but he always seems to draw a blank and not know what to say when someone he really loves or has a crush on talks to him. Kana has been in a few short little relationships, none of which have lasted too long, and has never been in a serious committed relationship. Kana hopes to one day find someone that he can settle down with and love forever, but he has not found that special someone, and for now will just keep dreaming.
