Owner: Fuscontidox
Name: Brontide "a low muffled sound like distant thunder heard in certain seismic regions especially along seacoasts and over lakes and thought to be caused by feeble earth tremors."
Gender: Stallion
Personality: Brontide is a very silent boy, just his gaze alone is enough for many to keep their distance, he's always been more of a loner type and tends to ignore those who attempt to speak with him, if persistence continues he speaks out and tells them to leave him, talkative characters seem to annoy him more than anything else. in all other situations, Brontide is pretty laid back, he enjoys taking his time and doesn't like to stick his nose in the business of others, one reason why he doesn't like others sticking their noses in his.
Brontide has a hard passed, he doesn't like talking about it and would rather just forget everything and move on, he looks forward and pushes on through without hesitation, he also doesn't seem to care for others he finds on the way.
However he has changed since meeting his mate Koni, a little mare who seems to need his help the most of anyone he's ever met, and the only one he's ever met to receive it and stay by him through it all.

Color: purple roan Overo (or tovero which ever)
Name: Keezheekoni "Koni"
Gender: Mare
Personality: Koni is very fiery sometimes, her character fits her name very well as it means "Burning Fire" in Chippewa Native American. But it wasn't until after the major accident that Koni received this name, her birth name had been "Kinstukuroi" meaning "To mend with gold" in the Japanese language.
When Koni was small, she had been trapped in a wild fire, she was able to escape, and had been the only of her herd to do so, she wasn't left untouched by the flickering red though, her orange eye was damaged, leaving her blind in her left eye. Her fur was scorched mostly and took time to heal but over all she was fine.
It took her months to adjust to being at least moderate without two eyes to see, but it wasn't until she became mates with Brontide that she truly learned how to adjust and use it to her advantage.
How they met: Upon the incident of the wild fire, Koni had made it out of the fire alive miraculously, however she didn't make it out alone, she followed a figure that seemed to guide her through the flames, once she was away from it all and all that was left was the stench of burning flesh of her fallen family, she searched for the figure who had rescued her from such dangers. The smoke was still scattered here and there and night had begun, she never saw the figure after her rescue, her memory of that night was broken and she couldn't cling to a single thing in attempt to one day find her savior.
Time passed and Koni had settled into another area that was far from where she once lived, she enjoyed her time with a new herd and had grown to be the sassy mare she was, she had long given up on finding the figure that had saved her in the fire, knowing she would never know how to distinguish the figure in the first place.
One day, Koni had left towards a patch of trees, a glade was beyond them where she often enjoyed her time alone, talking to others was tiring and so she was just beyond the trees as usual.
Arching her neck towards the pond she watched her breath ripple the water for a while before she drank her fill, the sound of distant hooves had Koni looking around with her eye to what extent she could. Seeing nothing, she began for the glade exit back through the tree line, turning from her left side, only to stop when she felt the presence of someone new. Unable to see them, Koni whipped around to her right side carelessly flicking her tail and smacking the stranger in the face. After catching eye contact with the fierce looking stallion, she felt a chill run along her mane, though she a tempted to show no sign of fear. The stallion ignored her and kept doing what he had been doing, she watching him pass and left before she decided on something stupid.
The next day, Koni went back to the water and looked around. Finding the stallion no where she drank her fill and relaxed like normal, it wasn't long before she caught the cold state of the stallion again from across the pond.
She attempted conversation only for him to give her the cold shoulder and leave.
For days the same thing kept happening, and over time Koni became curious of the stallion who never responded to her questions. It didn't take long for Koni to become fed up with the one sided conversation, and called him out for it. The stallion stopped from leaving and turned to look towards her, a cold stare boar into her as he replied, "To feed nonsense with false satisfaction is pointless, if you don't like my voiceless ways then don't try to listen for a voice that doesn't wish to exist."
Koni was bothered by his reply but she didn't stop trying to make conversation. Eventually she learned his name was Brontide and continued to observe him, a deep interest began to settle in her and she longed to understand it herself.
When Brontide planned for his departure, Koni followed secretly, she was eventually caught and yet ignored at first, many times Brontide asked her to leave, and she said nothing, just followed, it had been the most talkative she had ever seen him, even if he was annoyed.
there had been an instance in which they had come across a predator, having that it came from the left side, Koni had not known it was there. Brontide had been the one who had taken down the predator, and Koni had gone almost completely oblivious to it being there to begin with. it was at this point that Brontide realized her weakness and helped her to be more alert on her blind side.
The two of them became closer as their journey continued and they told echo other bits ands pieces of their pasts, being as reserved as always, Brontide waited until a proper timing to slowly explain his past, including the time he had been caught in a fire and despite knowing the way out, was only able to save one filly out of his entire herd, how he had gone looking for survivors later and found none, and when he returned to where he had last seen the filly, she was gone. How he roamed the land and somehow ended up seeing the very filly he saved years ago, only for his thought to be confirmed.
