Why the name was chosen: The protagonist Quentin "Q" Jacobsen, in the book, is constantly chasing after the wild Margo Roth Speigelman, who leaves mysteriously some time before their high school graduation. Throughout the book, maps play an extremely important role while trying to find Margo. This equid's quipping reminds me of the small highway lines that cover a map, and it's markings look like the continents. Overall, I believe he fits in quite nicely with the ambitious themes of Paper Towns.

Why the name was chosen: The vaguely skeleton-esque mask for some reason made me think of the colossi from Shadow of the Colossus, and the second I thought that, I thought Kuromori. Plus the equid community needs more personalities based on giant lizards (but small colossi!) that shoot weird gases from their mouths. Obviously.
