In a battle between fire and ice, who would win and why? Fire , because ice is still water it can melt and evaporate into steam/a little puddle of water. Fire is ice's weakness when battling one another and fire would win on my point of view of most things.

In a battle between fire and ice, who would win and why?: well ice would win, because even if fire melts it away, the ice would then become water which could then extinuish the flames. ice may be weak to fire, but in turn fire really just creates its own weakness, and would be wiped away by the waters it made, so therefore is why i belive ice would win.

"Both would win. Then, neither would win.

Allow me to explain.

First, there was order in the universe. Then there was chaos. A cataclysm that tore along the fibers of reality itself.

But its children never forgot their origins. The elements long to return to their primordial harmony and so they constantly move towards equilibrium. Fire and ice, they are two opposing forces with different methods for achieving the same goal. The former burns furiously against its adversaries until it has been exhausted of energy, while the latter seeps away its foe's power until it can hold no more and fizzles away into mist. Each counteracts the other. In this both face oblivion, but balance has been reached and their goals are realized. They have both won.

Ah, but the story does not end here. There's a cruel trick at play here, a twisted paradox hidden inside one of the universe's immutable laws. Perfect equilibrium, you see, creates absolute disorder. Instead of restoring stability, they have unwittingly fueled chaos's spread. Fire and ice's sacrifice becomes meaningless. They have lost—and chaos strengthens in its eternal reign."

Ice, well, if the ice is cold enough, like dry ice, it could easily put out the fire.
But if it is the temperature of normally used ice, or the ice outside,
fire would win by very easily melting it (but wait wouldn't the water put out the fire?)
So maybe both would lose by destroying themselves

In a battle between fire and ice, who would win and why? Any single one could win. There is of course the "clever way" of neither winning, fire melts ice, water extinguishes fire, water becomes steam and disappears/is no longer ice. Opal thought that answer was the best when she was little, but started hearing it so many times it no longer felt original and special. Ice could win, but she doesn't like it when the explanation is the whole "ice melts and extinguishes fire" spiel, that's just the water winning! If someone had a slab of ice larger than the area of the fire, they could smother it, or if they could shovel enough ice/snow onto it fast enough. Fire could also win, if there's more fire than ice, it could easily melt it, or just keep heating the fire more and more, witch melt more ice. She could really answer either one, but it's not like she did a lot of studying to figure it out, so she doesn't really care. *shifty eyes*

In a battle between fire and ice, who would win and why?
No one would win. It would be an ever lasting battle that would still last for an eternity, never resting.
Fire is the vigorous attacker, greatest offense, an unstoppable force. Fire mutilates and destroys everything in it's path, not even stopping to let the most innocent organism pass. But we must remember that after the inferno, that there is new life that will ever prosper since the adversary is crushed.

Ice is the stark fortification, a humble defense, an unmovable substance. Ice lays placid and barren not harming the animals navigating it's extravagant landscape. Ice reinforces and freezes everything it can touch, keeping everything persevered and tranquil, always keeping the peace. Nevertheless, ice has the fortitude to suffocate and flatten anything and it will never acknowledge it at any given moment before it is smashed.

Ice is cool, calm, collected. Ice can plan things out, have a proper strategy and prepare for everything.

Fire is hot, angry, and raging. Fire goes in head first, doing before thinking first.

Fire won't care if you get burned, fire can not be tamed.

Ice calms us down and even if it can chill us, it can be molded to our will.

Ice would win, a challenger that simple anger could not defeat. wip
