Their Relationship:In the mountainous area of Japan, far from the cities, there strives a secret Clan. The inhabitants of this Clan are all Flox. These Flox are responsible for a great job. With their telepathic abilities, they are the ones who send us dreams. These dreams guide our way through life. There is one Clan per country. These Clans are all situated in an uninhabited part of their country. They are not well known though. But this one in particular in Japan, has two special things that no other Clan currently has. On the sixth day of the seventh month, under the light of a full moon, two Flox were born. They not only shared the same birthday, but same parents too! These twins will come to be known as Hoshi and Tsuki, or to us in English, Star and Moon.
Star and Moon share a special bond, stronger then that of average twins. This is because they not only rely on each other for normal tasks, but depend on each other for power as well. Allow me to explain: When Star and Moon are together, they have twice the ability of Telepathy. Their powers are so strong, they can not only communicate with their minds, but also make others feel, hear, and see what they want them to with their minds as well. But the opposite goes for when they're apart, their abilities to hover and speak telepathically grow weaker the farther apart they are from each other. They got this power because they were twins born under a full moon (which happens very rarely to flox.) Although, this is a reason why they're always together, there is a deeper motive that only Tsuki knows about.
Once Upon a time, long ago, there was born two twins on a full moon (yes, this has happened before). Their names were Logan and Luke. They had the same powers as Moon and Star, with the same conditions too. But, they laughed and played and lived like any kids would and grew into adventurous young flox who were bent on searching for their keys. What they couldn't predict that their keys had more in common then they ever would know. While searching for their keys in the mountains, Luke had fallen off a cliff and at the moment Luke died, a hollowness filled Logan. A hollowness like Logan had lost all purpose and he grew depressed. He thought this was because Luke had left him, but he was half wrong. He continued his search for his key, and sure enough he had found it. The thing is, he found only half of it. His dreams were shattered like glass hitting the floor.
Legend has it that there is only one key for two full moon twins and it takes both twins to maintain the key's existence, and when one twin dies, that twin takes their half of the key with them. Tsuki had overheard this story being shared at the elder's table during dinner one night and suddenly her world grew dark. Her mind was filled with images of her or her sister losing their purpose because one had left. From then on, Tsuki was committed to keeping her and her sister safe.
Hoshi, on the other hand, is not as protective, not because it's not in her personality. Simply because she isn't aware of Tsuki's discovery. She remains innocently gleeful and goes about everyday the same as the last. Her heart is not held down by any worries, and Tsuki plans to keep it that way. At times, though, Hoshi's ignorance causes much complication for Tsuki. Hoshi is a dangerously curious floc so she tends to wander. Tsuki tries to constantly prevent Hoshi's adventurous nature from whisking her away and placing her in precarious position. So, to make it easier, Hoshi and Tsuki are not allowed outside the Clan walls often.
Hoshi believes that Tsuki is sometimes too jittery and overly vigilant. Again, because she is oblivious of the situation. She feels Tsuki should relax and attempts to take the weight off Tsuki's shoulders by asking her what's troubling her. Tsuki, not wanting to cast a burden on her sister's unclouded heart, refuses to tell her what is and replies with "Oh, it's nothing." In a way, Hoshi feels saddened because she knows Tsuki well and knows that Tsuki is hiding a secret from her and with time, Hoshi wishes to pry this secret open.
Hoshi, herself, doesn't have many secrets. Her biggest would be that we she was younger, she was the one who kept stealing cookies from the master kitchen. Other then that, Hoshi is very open with her sister for she doesn't wish to ruin her relationship with her sister. Needless to say, Tsuki is very important to Hoshi and she always wants to make her as happy as possible. But it's difficult to do that is Tsuki insists on dealing with her troubles alone.
In general, the twins are very close but, they have their own thoughts and decisions that set them apart. They still continue to rely on each other but like mentioned before, only for small tasks. They plan on staying together through thick and thin and always begin able to trust each other no matter what. But Hoshi and Tsuki describe their relationship like this:
Hoshi and Tsuki wrote:Fire and Ice, Red and Blue, all are almost the same yet are not completely. That is who we are. One could say that we are Yin and Yang or "two sides of the same coin". We're always together and alike in many ways yet different in other ways. Go by the names of Hoshi and Tsuki or Star and Moon.
