Mist whinnied apprehensively as the car and trailer came to an abrupt stop. 'So this is to be my new home?' he thought. He started as the door behind him opened with a clang and jostled about trying to back his way down the ramp.
Happy to finally be out of that moving metal box (in which he had actually been in for only 45 minutes) he composed himself, shaking out his heavy black mane. He could see a green field a short way up a lane, smell the fresh grass and hear the birds. He decided he wanted to go that way.
"Hey hang on!" his new owner chuckled - he had forgotten about the halter around his head. The lady quickly removed his rug, then, much to his disappointment lead him in the opposite direction to the field. With a last glance around, he begrudgingly allowed himself to be walked towards a spacious stable complex. He could tell this was going to be a good life - he only hoped he'd get to visit that tantalisingly good looking pasture soon.
