General Info

Chrysaora Basilisk are the prevalent equine creatures that inhabit the world Lucent. They roam by the hundreds, using their unique hooves to score the uneven rock and track down their most vital source of nourishment; evil. The relationship between Chrysaora and humans is a complex one. Chrysaora vocalize like horses, but are also thought to have a syrinx much like birds do and have been recorded displaying a variety of sharp, avian sounds. Their eyes layer over with a dark, murky black until their normal eye color pierces through in a great ball of electric light, radiating toward their victim's open eyes and paralyzing them. The Glare is able to stop both human and creature, and after a few days, unique to other forms of basilisk, the paralyzed being transforms into a sea nettle.

Quirk: She chirps. No seriously, she chirps. As a foal she nearly drowned, and the sudden rush of salty water damaged her vocal chords. As a result, it's painful for her to make normal equine and Basilisk vocalizations. She's learned how to "chirp", though, a quick little whistle-like whinny that can be done repeatedly to get someone's attention. Besides the usual nicker and huff, it's the only vocalization she can make without feeling pain.

She's rather embarrassed and often refuses to tell anyone, but she's quite commonly found only doing anything in even numbers. She likes- no, must be neat and nice, and will only take an even amount of steps, or an even amount of drinks from a water source. For some reason, this is embarrassing to her; she's very shy, and doesn't like having her imperfections pointed out. This even-number-only thing is rather ironic, for indeed her favourite number is 3.

Quirk: Aurelia is a curious Basilisk. One of her favorite hobbies is discovering hidden colors by crushing different stones, berries or even bugs with her hooves. Her golden pelt will often be covered in colorful smudges from these experiments.

Quirk: Lore always drags her feet, and can never seem to walk in a straight line. It's a pain to walk with her, as she will somehow always bump into you even if the path is straight. Lore could migrate from the left to the right, and seems to enjoy cutting others off while walking. While she's walking around the caves of Lucent at night, you can see wriggly lines in the sand caused by her feet dragging.

Quirk: Milkshake was a strange coat when shev was little she loved to only eat cake at midnight in the rain...Her mothercalways asked her way on her birthdays why she wouldn't have any cake..She always replied "because its not raining mom" her mother never understood till one day she was looking back through old photos of her being pregnant and noticed she was eating cake on her own birthday and outside the window she saw it was raining..she giggled a bit inside..

When the moon is full and at it's highest peak in the sky, she will open her stall door by giving a jentle tug on the clip, and walk out into the middle of the field where the moons reflection lay, then she will put her head up look straight at the moon and start twisting and rearing her body as if she was twirling around with her long gorgeous mane flowing along with her. The other barn horses think she is one of the weirdest horses they have ever seen but to her owner she was the most beautiful and gentle horse she has ever seen and had the chance to own.❤️

Quirk: This stallion suffers from extreme migraines quite frequently, ever since he was young. He has learned that if he stays extremely still and blinks very slowly his head doesn't hurt as bad. So as he's gotten older he adopted this quirk, even if he isn't currently suffering, to lay down and stay perfectly still, slowing his breathing and movements. Just like a snake, when the sun is the hottest and it hurts his eyes, he won't move for hours. But at night or in the caves he's very active, as long as his head isn't pounding.
