First Saddle Training!

Dear Diary,
Selena's main training is now more than halfway done! Yeah, you heard right! Sel accepted the western saddle! To be honest, she found it pretty strange and made quite a big fuss about it when I first entered our training place with it. She really didn't want to touch it at all, really, until I persuaded her into sniffing at it. How I did that? Well, I gave her what she likes most: Little treats! Sel would do everything for a nice squirrel!
Thank god I had Tak, who was already fully trained and acted as an example for Sel. He was a bit nervous, having never had a
western saddle on his back before, but he noticed it was nearly the same feeling, so he calmed down pretty quickly. Sel once again watched, clearly interested as I could see by her stretched neck. That was when I re-claimed the saddle and walked up to her again, gently brushing it past her neck. She was very interested in it and looked over at her back when I put the saddle on it. This time, there was no struggle, only slight miscomfort, when it touched her back. Walking around with her, I showed her the saddle wasn't that bad. Then I actually fastened it for a short time, which also worked without trouble. I'm so lucky I've got such a calm, lovely gal!
