Chrysaora Basilisks #31 | Regular Adopt

Postby crumpled wings » Thu Jan 01, 2015 5:40 pm

General Info

Chrysaora Basilisk are the prevalent equine creatures that inhabit the world Lucent. They roam by the hundreds, using their unique hooves to score the uneven rock and track down their most vital source of nourishment; evil. The relationship between Chrysaora and humans is a complex one. Chrysaora vocalize like horses, but are also thought to have a syrinx much like birds do and have been recorded displaying a variety of sharp, avian sounds. Their eyes layer over with a dark, murky black until their normal eye color pierces through in a great ball of electric light, radiating toward their victim's open eyes and paralyzing them. The Glare is able to stop both human and creature, and after a few days, unique to other forms of basilisk, the paralyzed being transforms into a sea nettle.

I'll be doing a "12 Days of Xmas" Chrysaora Adoption Advent. As it sounds, I'll be making 12 pre-designed Chrysaora all wrapped and ready to go to a new home. Each Chrysaora will come out one a day, starting on the 25th. Each will have a short contest (no more than a few sentences) and a 24hr competition. There will be no extensions of extras allowed, and you're only allowed to win once, so choose wisely. If you win a Chrysaora and decide you don't like it, you may gift it to another competitor in the competition with my approval, but you will not be allowed to win another. The only catch is that you won't see your chrysaora until after you win it, so if you're ok with surprises then this is the event for you.

On the eighth day of Christmas my true love gave to me...

For this Chrysaora, tell what their favorite thing to do at night is, and why

Be creative, yet realistic!

Owner:
Queen Chrysalis

Name:
Serenity

Gender:
Mare

Favorite/Why?:
Her favorite thing to at night is to merely lie with her legs folded underneath her body and watch the night world come to life. Because when night falls if you sit and simply watch, you can see thing you never though you'd see in a real environment, such as owls and other nocturnal creatures. It's a funny thing to see a majestic creature such as a CB just watching other creatures do whatever they do as night arrives. Watching the mice is the best part for her, such tiny little beings scuttling round and squeaking at each other in their adorable way.

Unless I post somewhere, I'm not selling/trading closed species critters.

    Owner: aftershock.

    Name: Artemis

    Gender: Mare

Favorite/Why?: Artemis' favorite thing to do during the night is climb to the highest peak and watch the stars and attempt to count them. Why she does this is a matter of her favorite hobby, which so happens to be logging the changes in the sky, particularly once the sky goes down. Obviously, most know it is impossible to count the numbers of stars in the sky, but Artemis seems to be fairly determined in doing so. It frustrates the mare when she stays up for hours and hours counting and scribbling down her numbers, only to have the sky lighten and the stars fade, making her project ruined and making it so she will have to restart that night. Because of this seemingly compulsive project in counting the stars, Artemis is often secluded from others.

    username;; dilly.
name;; Luciole (also goes by Luc, Ciol. Close friends call him Luci to annoy him.)
    gender;; stallion
favourite thing to do at night;; Luc favours not the stars of the sky, but the stars of the land. It is true the stars are beautiful, but Luc prefers the insects that light his homeland at night. Millennia of living underground in the caves of Lucent had caused the insects to evolve and eventually glow, giving off light. To be honest, Luciole sees the glow worms, as he calls them more often than the stars. But not just seeing the lights is his favourite, the sounds of chirping not unlike birds complete the night. Luc has discovered, however the glow worms are quite harmless unlike most of the flora and fauna in Lucent.
