General Info

Chrysaora Basilisk are the prevalent equine creatures that inhabit the world Lucent. They roam by the hundreds, using their unique hooves to score the uneven rock and track down their most vital source of nourishment; evil. The relationship between Chrysaora and humans is a complex one. Chrysaora vocalize like horses, but are also thought to have a syrinx much like birds do and have been recorded displaying a variety of sharp, avian sounds. Their eyes layer over with a dark, murky black until their normal eye color pierces through in a great ball of electric light, radiating toward their victim's open eyes and paralyzing them. The Glare is able to stop both human and creature, and after a few days, unique to other forms of basilisk, the paralyzed being transforms into a sea nettle.

I'll be doing a "12 Days of Xmas" Chrysaora Adoption Advent. As it sounds, I'll be making 12 pre-designed Chrysaora all wrapped and ready to go to a new home. Each Chrysaora will come out one a day, starting on the 25th. Each will have a short contest (no more than a few sentences) and a 24hr competition. There will be no extensions of extras allowed, and you're only allowed to win once, so choose wisely. If you win a Chrysaora and decide you don't like it, you may gift it to another competitor in the competition with my approval, but you will not be allowed to win another. The only catch is that you won't see your chrysaora until after you win it, so if you're ok with surprises then this is the event for you.

On the fourth day of Christmas my true love gave to me...

Story: The young filly trotted along the shore, besides her dark magnificent father. Her mom died at birth, but she didn't care due to never knowing her, making her father her idol. She wants to be just like him, fearless, courageous, intellectual, and mysterious, yet caring. A month after her birth, she finally could really think, and watched her dads muscles flash under the sunlight. She never really noticed it, but today, the sun started to fall from the pearl sky.
"Father, the sun is falling! We must run before it hits!" Her voice quivering with a terror.
Her father grinned and lightly told her "There's nothing to worry about, for it happens everyday, and will happen for the rest of our lives."
Her tiny frame slowly stopped shaking, and she watched as the sun bled across the dark ocean. Once darkness consumed everything, she noticed the bioluminescence glowing in the water and on land. A small chirp escaped her, and she raced with her father across the black sand, unafraid of anything yet to come.
