Show name: Ms.Marie Laveau (Voodoo queen in New Orleans in around 1830)
Barn Name: Lougarou (loo-gah-roo)(A black magician who can shape-shift into an animal; a vampire who sucks blood from children.)
Gender: Mare
Breed: Haitian Mustang (25%)XFlorida Cracker (25%) X American Quarter Horse (50%)
Color: Silver Sooty Buckskin
Markings: Splash markings
Personality: Mysterious, brave and loyal. She loves to be admired by others and brags a lot. She is a loyal friends once someone is close to her and will never let them down. Lougarou hates being mocked, losing and disappointing those she looks up too. She has a sharp tongue and a fiery spirit so it is best to not confront her.
History:
I watched my father prance proudly down the street, he looked like a king all dressed up and with that regal way about him. One day I would do that, I would ride down those streets just as he did and all would admire me. I was only 2 at this time but I practiced my prancing, dignified gaze and calm demeanor every day. Finally when I was 4, my moment came, it was the 26th of October once again. I was chosen to compete for the honour of representing my tribe in the parade. I was prancing along, looking fine as ever, I saw my father watching and the look on his face filled me with joy. Suddenly the horse behind me nipped in annoyance at something. His teeth scratched my rump and that was it, I spun about and gave him a good chomp on the behind. He squealed and bolted away in fright, the other horses panicked. When the horses had finally been calmed down and caught. Angry glares were locked on all sides. I had failed, I didn't even dare to look at my father, I just ran. I ran away until I was far off in a small stand of trees. Suddenly a crack sounded behind me, I spun and saw a womyn in a long raven feather cloak. I wanted to run but her hand was upon my nose before I could move. Her touch was cool, the look in her shadowed green eyes one of kindness. I settles down and she cleaned me up. I stayed with her for a year and we bonded quickly. One day we heard of trouble in the village, the loa were angry for some reason. The womyn seemed to know why and I could see she had to stop it. She placed the mask she had made for me on my face and jumped onto my back. We headed into the village, it was chaos, the loa where very angry! She took me to a large hill and at the peak we stopped. She jumped down and began to chant with a voice filled with power. I stood and waited, slowly people came to the hill and bestowed offerings. The loa receded, they were angry that the wrong voodoo queen was in power. Just like me my rider had run away and the loa did not like her replacement. At last at peace the towns people cheered our names and I saw my father, smiling proudly. I let out a joyful whinny, I had found my calling.

Art: Image ( Took forever trying to fix lines and ey still came out weird. I decided to make fog around the mares legs, cause I am terrible at doing legs and I liked the look of it)
Write me a Voodoo Poem that is AT LEAST two Stanzas: (Not good at poems other than haiku's but I will try, for this beauty!)

The voodoo queen upon her steed
Moving with delicate speed

To the hill they must go
A ritual to be held to please the loa

Never slowing till they reach the hill
The mares legs tremble with the thrill

Off her mare the queen does leap
The mare never moves her place she keeps

Powerful words ring through the air
Sending shivers through the mare

The offerings are given
The people are forgiven

Away the loa's go at last appeased
The queen turns away finally pleased

She hops in the saddle and flicks the reins
The mare is off back across the night plains

Slowly they meld into the night
Now everything has been set right

give me three interesting facts about 'voodoo':

1: There are three different origins/types of voodoo. West African, Louisiana and Haitian voodoo all practice there own form of voodoo. They have some similarities but all of them have some things that define them from the others.

2: There is also two KINDS of voodoo. Rado is often viewed as the more peaceful and harmful voodoo practice. Petro is said to involve black magic and fixation on death.

3: One of the main focuses of voodoo is healing. Around 60% of ceremonies, rituals ect.. are used for healing.
