The competition may seem super familiar to you guys, well that's because it is! Ahhaha It's actually the same comp as his sister's, Constantine Reinette!

Don't forget that he is a prince ^^

The marking on his shoulder has a gem on it, the marking and gem are a sign of a true royal. When born without, you are not considered a royal and are kicked out of the family. His gem is alexandrite! It's a stone that looks emerald in daylight and ruby at night.


The competition will be about a month to a month and a half long.

What else would a fine young creature like him be? Fletcher Damian is also a demi-sexual, and will only truly fall in love with someone he can make a strong, emotional connection with. (good luck with that)
Personality:

To those who do not know of Fletcher-Damian's personal life, not that they would need to, he seems like a respectable young man. He travels across the land, searching for allies or enemies. With a tongue as smooth as silver, Fletcher can quickly change one's opinion, whether or not he was persuasive, or persuasive. He holds himself to a higher standard, always striving for perfection, and most of the time, reaching it. A dream of his is to surpass his parents' expectations and become a ruler of the land, molding it and shaping it to his whim. He never says anything brash, and obeys every single word his two great parents, the King and the Queen, say to him. He is obedient, and thoughtful. Charming and kind. The perfect son. The one that will go to no end to continue his parents' work and fulfill their legacy.

He is quite a hit with the ladies, using his quick wit to make playful but sweet pick up lines and gain their favor. Even though he's not one for older women, he finds it useful to speak to them as if they were in their prime. When out of town with his parents, they get compliments on his behavior and how well mannered he is. Fletcher is well-read in etiquette and knows how to act to be presentable. The twenty-two year old is nicely dressed at all times, wearing his signature cravat. A simple thing, light, silk, and embroidered with golden thread. He finds it absolutely necessary to dress nicely, regardless of whether or not he is leaving the castle or not. He believes that if he dresses smart at all times, he will keep up his A-plus behavior and constantly be in perfect shape.

But, to those he should know best, they would laugh at everything written above. To them, all of this is a mask. A quick flick or a negative word, and the mask will shatter. Perfectionism turns into lunacy, charming turns into manipulative, kind and open turns into distant and disgusted. Fletcher-Damian does not care for "family values" and only wishes to be successful. Being born only two years after Constantine Reinette, Fletcher strives to pass her and rule instead of her. He believes that if he works his hardest, he will become better than anyone ever could, and someone would take notice and put him up on a pedestal. He doesn't care for his sisters' well being, much less even acknowledges one of them. His thoughts on Constantine are that she is weak, and too empathetic with her actions toward Alexandria. Alexandria to him, is just scum. Not born with a royal crest or gem, she is considered unnecessary to him. He has barely spoken a word to her in his self-centered bubble, and rarely speaks with Constantine in general. He uses Constantine's need for attention from her parents against her, and shoves his encounters with them in her face, possibly twisting words. Fletcher finds others to be of no use to him, relying only on them to get climbs small steps over their heads. When on travels by himself, he never sends letters home unless he needs money or assistance, which is next to never. His whereabouts are usually unknown, and he only returns to the castle to write or let his family know his successes and that he is still alive. He's not much of a fan to the castle anyways

His personal life is quite, well, personal. His family back at the castle doesn't really pay much attention to him, so he has plenty of time for himself. He is fluent in latin, and spends time writing journals or short stories in the dead language, since not many can read or understand it anymore. One of his few joys is writing poems. He publishes these under the pen name of "Vladimir", and sells few copies to the town below, just for fun. The poems bring him a sense of peace and tranquility, and it's his guilty pleasure. He also enjoys fencing and sword fighting, having his own custom made blade, a rapier with a silk ribbon attached to the end. The blade is light and handy,and he keeps it close by. Fletcher does enjoy taking very long, extensive walks and returning home in the deep night. Although some might think he plots and schemes, he's actually alright company. It takes a lot to be able to handle his personality and his flaws, but he has a couple of friends that he travels with once in a while. One is a pet crow, affectionately dubbed "Nevermore". The bird is quite smart and can speak like a cockatiel. He and this bird are very close, Fletcher having saved it a long while ago from a rude cat. He enjoys reading and being on his own, and also speaking to his bird and teaching it short words.

Fletcher tends to have dark days sometimes, when he locks himself in his room. Usually, it's when he becomes sick of holding up his illusion. The room becomes trashed and Fletcher feels reality drown him. He knows, deep inside, that he will never be able to be king, and that all of this is just to give himself some sort of purpose for existing. He's not sure what will happen to him in the future, and because of this, he dreads it. He avoids all speak of the future, and only vaguely refers to it. Fletcher can be listless on these days, barely responding or eating. This usually passes in a few days, and he returns to his chipper, usual self.

Fletcher is an mystifying individual, and just like his gem, he can go from a shining emerald, to a dubious ruby with a flick of a switch.

King and Queen;
Being the first-born son, Fletcher has a very good relationship with his parents. Even though they don't know his true face, he is able to manage himself like a humane being. They see him as a perfect son, smart, clever, charming, and definitely not what the other members of his family see. Of course, once in a while, he'll pass them a steely glare when they speak of Constantine, but this is usually not noticed and Fletcher goes on. They take him on political trips, seeing as even though he cannot rule, he could become an adviser to the next king or queen. The King and Queen respect Fletcher-Damian and treat him as an equal, bringing him to dinners and meetings for a wise suggestion or the like. Fletcher wants to keep this relationship as it is, afraid that if he fails to keep up his mask, they will leave him behind and forget about him


Constantine Reinette;
Fletcher and Constantine have a very strained relationship. From birth, the two argued incessantly about the smallest things, to political matters affecting the whole country. Fletcher-Damian's goal is to rise above his sister and become king, to completely overshadow her. He finds that he will reach his goal at any means necessary and will refuse to ever give her a little slack. Sure, even though they are only a few years apart, Fletcher would never let himself be forgotten and left to rot while his sister took control. He always finds ways to make her tick, from small messes to provoking her using his relationship with their parents as leverage. He knows the things that bother her most and would stop at nothing to make sure that she was surely out of his way. He's disgusted by her soft demeanor toward Alexandria and refuses to listen to her reasoning about her.

Alexandria;
To Fletcher, Alexandria is nothing more than a speck. She has no significance to him, seeing as she's not a worry with his dream to rule. He doesn't see her presence at the castle important at all and even moves to get her kicked out. Alexandria, since born without the royal mark, is just a unerasable speck in the lens, and although its stuck there for a long time, he'll wipe and wipe and wipe. He is quite blunt and open about his feeling toward her when speaking, and makes a point to show his disgust in her presence. She was born after him, and they have an even closer age distance than Fletcher and Constantine. The chance that she could have taken his place in the hierarchy scares him and he refuses to speak to her in fear of breaking his great charade and losing to her. He constantly feels the need to show his superiority over her.

Coma;
Seeing as he is romantically involved with Alexandria, Fletcher also despises Coma. Coma's laidback attitude and bad habits make him an easy target for Fletcher's insults. Coma, being as relaxed and somewhat lenient as he is, he doesn't really try to defend himself, but once Fletcher brings up Alex, Coma will stop at nothing to defend her, only to be put right back down by the dark prince.

Caspian;
Fletcher is actually, quite scared of Caspian. His fear though, turns into anger, and he's usually very frustrated with Caspian. Caspian is symbolic of the fact that despite how hard he works, there's always the inevitable truth that he's highly unlikely to become a successor. The fact that Constantine is already prepared to rule over the land and everything has been set up for her gives Fletcher this horrible sense of dread that maybe possibly, his existence doesn't mean much in the eyes of others.
