One dark summer's night... wrote:Iggy was sleeping soundly in his stall, snoring lightly. He was only a young colt at the time, 3 days old at the most. His name hadn't even been chosen yet. Anywho, back to the story..
He work suddenly, his mother dancing with alarm around them. He stood quickly, but when he tried to breathe, his nostrils burned. The tiny colt reared and whinnied in alarm as scarlet flames danced around the barn the he knew as home. Around him he could hear the other horses in the barn squealing with pain and fear. Iggy and his mother were cornered in their stall by the greedy, glowing wisps of light. As one touched his mother's belly, Iggy noticed her leap back and squeal in pain. The heat of the flames was singeing is coat as he drew himself back. Suddenly, light, aside from the glow of the fire, filled the barn and brought with it cool air. He whinnied as he saw the little girl who'd come to see him every day so far. There were other ponies, closer to the barn door, but nope. This little girl ran strait to the back of the barn and swung the stall door open. She covered their eyes with some sort of material and led them out. As they were rushed out, he could hear many other people rushing by them. When they outside, she removed their masks. He looked up at the girl. He looked up at me. He stepped toward me, and he buried his muzzle into my stomach. We've been together since. I was only a little girl of 9 at the time, but he's been with me, at my side ever since.
"This horse got fire inside, ain't that right?"
