Most mares are bold, hot-headed and unafraid to show opinions. Tem is not. She is quiet, and would much rather stay unnoticed and ignored. Too much attention causes her to tense up, which results in her eating habits going haywire. It is known that she never had any bad experiences with people; she simply is nervo us and uncomfortable around them. Life is hectic now that she has just been started under saddle. With a human on her back, and a bit in her mouth, she tends to be overwhelmed very easily. When this happens, she stiffens and runs, causing difficulties for her rider who must calm her down and make her relaxed. She's beginning to 'get' things with certain people, so hopefully her training will become easier in the future.

If Tem should be pushed too hard, woe betide those near her! She may be quiet and meek, but she does have a breaking point. She will lash out not with fury, but with fear, since in her mind she has no other option. After a rare outburst, she returns again to the tense and nervous little mare, and may even be more jumpy than before. She certainly requires someone with endless patience to work with her!

Unlike most horses her age she is a bit clumsy and goofy and some would even go as far as to call her Bad-Luck Capri, though the older riders who are used to Capri's quirks call her that affectionately. Capri loves her little nickname and is often proud to be the clumsy little mare she is. But Capri does have a nasty little temper, especially when it comes to new riders insulting her clumsiness, she'll lash out and get them in a second if they go too far. You see, Capri isn't sure footed like the other horses because she had a weaker body as a foal, so she can be insecure too. Capri has a soft side, though it is only geared towards foals, riders she knows well, and a handful stallions.

Thank you! She is absolutely stunning <3 I ride a five year old who has the same issues with tension and anxiety. Horses like this require a lot of hard work, but are definitely worth it!
