~Mage, Spirit of the Wind
Mage, the spirit of wind. The leaves that rustle in summer. The childish spirit running among the stars. The free soul that walks with the waves. The respect shown by kissing the flowers on a forgotten grave. But most of all, the friend you find within yourself when you have lost hope in all else surrounding you. He is Mage, no one else, nothing else.
Here, sit yourself down, I wish to tell you a tale of old.
Long ago, the world was ruled by four deities, Air, Earth, Fire, and Water. But, as all things do, they faded to nothing with time. Not, however, without leaving children, to take up their places. Now, instead of the four ruling the earth of their own rules, there were children, one for anything that could be found, and one such of these children, born of the Air, was the small wind deity, known to himself as Mage. And it was this deity, the young but wise, the kind but firm, the peaceful but lawful, the selfless Mage, who was chosen as the Air's heir, to kingdom and responsibilities. Naturally, the young child took his place with grace and a natural ruling hand, but his siblings were jealous, seeing none of this. Instead, they tried to take the young ruling deity from his position, clawing forward with their greed and longing. For several decades, it seemed that the siblings to the young child would take his rule from his grasp, even to the point of Mage's near death. He, the valiant knight that he was, refused to fight his own brothers and sisters until it was absolutely necessary. Finally, though, as the battle against his golden rule over the kingdom of air seemed to be drawing to its end, and Mage seemed to be on the losing side, he fought. Not with vicious intent, or cruel grins, but with a grim air of duty, only defeating his brothers and sisters soundly enough to deter their attacks, without killing or disheartening them entirely. Each and every one of them was taken down, gently, and anyone could see their confusion. Mage was surely strong enough to exile each and every one of them, yet did not. Nor did he take angrily to them, instead with a sad acceptance. Realizing how kind and gentle, yet firm and noble, their brother was, the children of the air kingdom settled themselves down, allowing Mage to be the triumphant ruler until his time was truly over, and his spot would be taken over by his own children. "Long live the king!" The children cry, over and over, but Mage refuses the title known as "King". Instead, he wishes to be called "Friend" or "Spirit". And so, their calls change, "Long live our Spirit, our Friend!"
Forevermore.
INFO:
Age: As old as the sky, and older than the brook.
Preferred Gender: Although this very fluid deity has no set gender, he generally prefers to walk this earth as a male.
Question and Answer!
Q: As a deity, do you believe in being worshiped as a god?
A: No, not really. I think that I'm more of a force than a god, and that the lesser deer should accept me, saving their prayers for other deities. Although... A little bit of recognition every now and then is pretty nice, heheh...
Q: So... Looking for love anytime soon? *wink wink* *nudge nudge*
A: Oh, um... Not really. Not much one for romance myself, although I've heard wonderful things about it! I just don't think I can ever pin myself down enough to have a mate, it seems like much too much work. Of course, I've had my infatuations from time to time, fawning over some deer or another, but they've never lasted long, usually just a way to pass the time. I visit them all as often as I can, though they never know it... They'll never meet me again, for I fear hurting them more than I already have.
Q: If you WERE to be looking for love, what kind of deer would you go for? Gender, personality, looks, anything?
A: That's a hard question, uh... I'm not one for preferences, to be honest. I myself would hope to just find someone who clicks with me, who can understand me, perhaps? Gender would never matter in that kind of search, because what is gender, really? I've had my eye on several of the deer around anyways, so I'm not sure who I'd necessarily be attracted to, but I simply can't wait to begin meeting them!
Personality: Oh, well... I'm just a free spirit. I love the sound of laughter, it draws me faster than anything else! I've been told that I'm rather insensitive though, but I can't help it! The problems of mortal deer amuse me... And I often don't understand what's so terribly bad about most of their complaints. Oh well. Other than that, I think I already mentioned that I like to have a good time! Laughs and kindness, that's where I draw my energy from. I'm calm though, calm enough to keep even the strongest happiness just that- happy. Not out of control, just a fierce, unending joy, radiating from every pore of myself... That's what I wish for us all, joy and peace and an end to the violence that many exhibit. Mmmmm, I always have been one for morning walks, refreshing as they are.
Hello, Mage here... I have a secret to tell you. C'mon, get a little closer, this is a SECRET, after all!
You see, I've had this plan for a while now... I'm going to try and blend in to the mortal society for an unspecified amount of time. They all just seem so open and inviting, I can't resist! It'll be a challenge, for sure, because I do tend to dissipate if I get stressed enough, but I'm sure I can find a reason for that. Or maybe not do that at all! Wouldn't that be something? Ohhhh, I'm getting excited just THINKING about doing this!
Y'see, I'm really fond of mortal deer, they're all just so QUAINT!
Oh, but I'm rambling on! Please ignore me, I do love the sound of my own voice, and chattering!
I'm pleased to meet you, whoever might be reading this, and I do hope to meet you soon.
And I almost forgot! I've been tweaking my human form as well, what do you think?

Pretty stylish, eh?
ACCESSORIES
Oh, hello again, lovelies! You want to know my fashion style? I can assure it, I'm very minimalistic when it comes to this kind of thing. Here it goes, then.
*A long, thin, silvery-white scarf
*My flute. Silver of course, and always in tune.
And, well, that's about it, to be honest... Like I said, simple.
But, Mage, how do you carry your flute? Oh I figured you'd ask that! I have a little case for it, it almost acts like a sash around my waist, but it has a pocket in there that I choose to keep my flute inside.
