What is a Keardor?
A Keardor is a smaller cousin species of the Kora. It is a type of big cat with a bright spirit and a love for feathers. Keardors are partially feathered themselves, usually at their rears. Elbow, head, and ankle feathers are less common. They have feathery dorsal manes that rut backwards or upright. They are short at the head and never fall forward. Their tails are huge and plumy, and they take great pride in this feature. Keardors, like Koras, often have spots, but significantly fewer. They usually stay restricted to paws, face, and/or rear. Keardors are either nocturnal or diurnal. The difference between the two is shown in their eyes. Diurnal Keardors have narrow, almost reptilian pupils while the much more common nocturnal Keardors have wider ones. Keardors, unlike their cousins, Koras, hate water and cold, and prefer hotter climates. They are much more outgoing and bright, and would love a companion to look after them.
Perhaps, you can be their companion of choice.

Only one eye glows like that quq it can glow in many patterns; it's not static into that specific glow. Sometimes it breaks in other places, sometimes it's solid, shorter, longer, or winds around more!

Somethings gone wrong with the machinery, I leaned against it to listen
to the humming of it's gears and the whisking of it's plasma ball
working to sort the small glitches out in perfect time, but then suddenly everything
stopped in a slow thrumming moan of sorts.

I stood there, my eyes growing wide as I slowly backed away from the machine,
looking it over and fearing something was about to go wrong.

Must I say more than I was right.

The machine suddenly lurched back into it's lively mythic rhythm, but faster....
much faster.

It slowly started to sound like a jet taking off, it's edges glowing and the bolts holding it
together started popping with steaming hisses.

The next thing I knew, metal shards and scraps came flying towards me. I got hit and blacked
out, but when I awoke, it was not what I expected.

A large, monster like beast was standing before me, covered in the melted metal of the machine.
It's eyes burned into me like the plasma would your hand. It looked unafraid, but rather curious.
It bent down, sniffing at my ankles, then bringing it's snout up the very outer side of my
right pant leg.

Soon, it had sniffed it's way up to my arm. When it had reached my arm, it looked up at me,
laying down besides me like a trained pet. I sat there against the wall terrified, hurting, and wanting
to scream, but it like my vocal chords could no longer work.

A few hours went by, but the dragged on like years to me. Suddenly, a voice sparked inside of
my head,

"Why are you afraid of me? I thought...you created me, aren't you my friend?"

I looked at the beast, who looked back at me as if he asked the question. I didn't reply. Then:

"Friend? Are you alright?" The beast didn't move his mouth bat slowly got closer to me, nudging
my arm with his large snout.
