WEM: Grey or Gray

Postby JerseyDusk » Sun Jun 29, 2014 12:13 pm

Alright my second WEM...finally. I was at a conference without computer time. Just recently got back but luckily I had a couple Epona prepared. So a dapple grey for you!

I'll be basing this competition off of best name and best answer.

What is the difference between Grey and Gray?: Grey and Gray are just two different spellings of the same word. Gray is more commonly used in America (USA), while Grey is more commonly used in the U.K.. Both spellings have origins from Old English. In the 18th century Grey was predominant with the English, however it's dominance was changed when the Americans changed the spelling to Gray in the 19th century.

End date is July 1st.

Breed: Epona
Height: 15.2 HH

What is the difference between Grey and Gray?: Grey with an "e" is used mostly in England; the E = England. Gray with an "a" is mostly used in America, thus in turn, A = America. They both mean the same thing, they're just regionally based.
