Well, one, it looks like him, and the male pyroar's mane reminds him of a female itself. Although this is a picture of the female pyroar, he likes both genders. The pyroar reminds him of himself. Although he can swim, and pyroar is a fire type, it doesn't mean much to him

He likes this Pokemon, because...: Kadin likes the pokemon Caterpie for only a few reasons. First off; who would not love that adorable slimy, gooey, face? Its just down right adorable. Kadin also takes a particular liking to this pokemon because of how looked down upon it is; a simple minded weak pokemon, with no use other than to get you started. Heck, why bother catching it, when you can go after the ratatta right next to it? This mindset reminds Kadin of how it was for him growing up; and still is.
