Kiamara #443 - WINNER!

Postby Syra » Sat Jun 07, 2014 4:41 pm

What is a Kiamara?
A kiamara is a wolf/lion-like creature. They have long, fluffy manes on the top of their heads, running down between their shoulders. They all have spots on their bodies- a trait in which will never be bred out of their DNA. They also have feathers- every Kiamara is given feathers when they reach the age of 2 years old. Their diet consists of fruit as well as meat- they prey on similar creatures that wolves would. Kiamara can be very shy before they get to know you. Can you win a Kiamara's heart?

»Username;; Ravendarus
»Name;; Maylis
»Meaning;;
GENDER: Feminine
USAGE: French
Meaning & History
From the name of a town in southern France, possibly derived from Occitan mair "mother" and French lys "lily". It is also sometimes considered a combination of MARIE and lys.

»Gender;; Female
»My Guesses;;
    »Pocket Watch - Hickory Dickory Dock
    »Egg Earring - Humpty Dumpty
    »Diamond Earring - Hush Little Baby
    »Moon Earring - Hey Diddle Diddle
    »Teapot Charm - I'm a little Teapot
»His/Her Opinion of Children;; Maylis is very much like a child herself, so she tends to daydream of her stories that she gets to listen to all the time and has a tendency to get lost in her own imagination. For this reason Maylis loves children, though she is unsure if she will ever have any of her own, she loves to dance and play with all the kids as she fits in with them so well. To her Children are a gift and she misses when she was younger, but that doesn't stop her from pretending.

»Username;; Wyrd
»Name;; Etticoat
»Meaning;; Etticoat is the last name of the thing mentioned in the nursery rhyme- 'Little Nancy Etticoat'- which is actually about a candle. I thought it fitting to put the name of a character from a rhyme in a partially rhyme themed adoption.
»Gender;; Female
»My Guesses;;
    »Pocket Watch - Hickory-Dickory Dock
    »Egg Earring - Humpty-Dumpty
    »Diamond Earring - Hush Littly Baby
    »Moon Earring - Hey Diddle Diddle
    »Teapot Charm - I'm a Little Teapot
»His/Her Opinion of Children;; She absolutely adores them- But only when she's able to get them to sleep. It's not that Etticoat doesn't like them when they're fully awake, it's simply that she can't handle them, and finds it much easier to keep them in line when telling them a nursery rhyme or story before bed. It's just the amount of energy they have that annoys her mostly. Etti also doesn't mind teaching them, as she loves to see how fast a child can learn a new skill, or a new rhyme that- annoyingly- they won't forget for days.

»Name;;
Zeke
»Meaning;;
In Arabic, Zeke means shooting star. A modern day tradition is that if someone sees a shooting star and then make a wish on it, it comes true.
»Gender;;
Male
»My Guesses;;
    »Pocket Watch - My guess is Tick Tock. It's about a clock.
    »Egg Earring - Humpty Dumpty. He was an egg.
    »Diamond Earring - Hush Little Baby. The nursery rhymes promises a child a diamond ring.
    »Moon Earring - Hey Diddle Diddle. A cow jumps over a moon.
    »Teapot Charm - I'm a little teapot. Self explanatory
    »Silver Bell - Mary, Mary, Quite Contrary
»His/Her Opinion of Children;;
Zeke adores children. In fact, he never really wanted to grow up himself, which is why he wears charms of his favorite nursery rhymes. He wants children to always be happy, so he often babysits or is a guest reader at the local library, where he reads these nursery rhymes to them. His whole purpose in life is to bring out everyone's inner child, even adults.

Dropping out. I just don't feel a connection anymore.

»Name;; Dialect
»Meaning;; Dialect means 'a particular form of a language that is peculiar to a specific region or social group', but it honestly popped into my head and it seemed to fit.
»Gender;; Male
»My Guesses;;
    »Pocket Watch - Hickory Dickory Dock
    »Egg Earring - Humpty Dumpty
    »Diamond Earring - Hush Little Baby
    »Moon Earring - Hey Diddle Diddle (?)
    »Teapot Charm - I'm a Little Teapot
    »Bell Earring - Mart, Mary, Quite Contrary
»His/Her Opinion of Children;; Dialect is like me; he loves children but also hates them.
Once a baby is born, he won't go near them until they're around the age of 2. He hates spit up and formula and the smell of baby food, but also on how the baby acts. Fusing and waking up multiple times at night. He needs his beauty sleep.
Once babies start to grow up however, he loves them.
