What is a Great Plains Equine?:
The GPE are a special breed of horse. They are large and sturdy breed, suited best for working a farm and pulling carts. They also were once used as war horses during the war between the Mountain and Forest kingdoms. GPE stand at 13-17 hands, though are most commonly ranging at around 15-16 hands. Their coats are sleek and soft, the colors and patterns are too varied to even list, though they are most commonly found with a 'paint' style coat. Their manes and tails are long and flowing, their hooves heavily feathers and nearly fully concealed. GPE's have long beards under their chins, both male and female, and have a pair of horns that sweep backwards along their necks. Their eyes range in any color of the full spectrum, and produce a glow that resembles smoke, or possibly flames. They are docile beasts, but are not easily tamed.

Aloft the wind
I ride the night sky
I see the world through a much different eye

Power, beauty
Strength and grace
I feel the spirits of ancestral space

Pride of herd
Sisters and brothers
I live ever watchful standing by others

A kaleidoscope of colors
No two ever the same
The short, the tall, the long of mane

I know the chance
I know the fear
I live on the edge for death crouches near

On my back I carry a load
Through storm and calm
Ever vigilant and bold

I have died in battle
Killed by man
Hunted by predator as I roamed the land

No more room
Not enough grazing
Captured, shot, sold by pound on bills of lading

Yet I survive
Sometimes an insurmountable course
I am feral, I am a Wild Horse

The cherry chestnut mare's hoof pounded to the ground, her feathering settling into place quickly. "No! You will never disobey me as a lead mare ever again!" The mare whinnied, frustrated with the other mare. The other mare was a bit younger, but much taller. But Eclipse would not take no for an answer. "You will move on from this river for it is unsafe!" Eclipse demanded, but the other mare refused to move. Eclipse whinnied, becoming angrier by the second. Finally, she pinned her ears and struck out like a snake, biting the mare's shoulder and withdrawing her head quickly. The bite hardly left a mark, but it was enough. The other mare reared in defiance, wanting nothing more than to challenge Eclipse's temper. Finally, their stallion approached.

'Is there a problem, ladies?' He questioned, looking at the other mare with disappointment. Eclipse looked at the other mare carefully.

"She is testing my patience."

'Please see to it that the rest of the herd is okay.'

"Yes, sir." Eclipse responded, returning to the herd with her mane flowing and her feathering swaying about her feet gently. It gave her an almost majestic appearance, coupled with her purple glowing eyes. But her horns gave her an almost demonic appearance. She loved looking the way she did. Perfectly majestically demonic.
