Howdy! A.S.T.S 567 at your service! I've been looking at some Simas
for a while now... I've seen a few I like, but this one is one of the coolest
(and the chameleon butterfly blender) I've seen.
Sima name:
I have decided on the name Löpeld. I've chosen this word because of its meaning. It is a Swedish word that translates straight to the word "wildfire." I chose wildfire because of her element. Of course, just having the word "fire" or "burn" would be pretty boring, so I went with something slightly more exotic.
Sima gender:
I've decided to make her a female, simply for irony. She looks like a rather masculine Sima in her design, so I wanted to kinda go against the way she would be thought of, and make her female.
Personality:
Well, some basics first. Löpeld is pretty much just a crafty, sneaky thief who steals from the rich to give to the poor. Nothing more, nothing less. Well... Maybe a bit more, maybe a bit less. You'll just have to read on and find that out for yourself, aren't you?
Crafty
~~~~~~~~~~
Löpeld is a very crafty individual. After all, what good thief isn't? She has to be very, very sneaky in order to make a living the way she does, and she does it well. Not a day goes by when Löpeld can dilly-dally and take a break from being sneaky and crafty.
Quiet
~~~~~~~~~~
Löpeld doesn't talk much. She's more of the strong-silent type, speaking with action more than with words. Besides, who does she have to talk to? She doesn't work with anybody, and prefers not to talk with her targets. Doing so would likely be very costly to her.
Sure-footed
~~~~~~~~~~
You'll rarely ever see Löpeld make even the tiniest mistake when she's walking or climbing. That just doesn't happen. She's trained herself to always pay attention to where she steps and how she walks, and knows various tricks to doing so.
Hot-headed
~~~~~~~~~~
Löpeld is a fuse ready to go off. Even the slightest insult can make her rage all over you. And, trust me. When she's angry, you definitely don't want to be in her way. That is, if you don't want to be turned into a smoldering pile of sizzling ash.
Smart
~~~~~~~~~~
As a thief, Löpeld has to be very smart. No such thing as a stupid thief. Idiots never make it in the real world, as she often tells herself. She lives by that rule, trying to remind herself of it as often as possible so she remembers to look before she leaps and to think things through.
Secretive
~~~~~~~~~~
Once again, a trait all thieves must have. Löpeld is very secretive in everything she does, from walking to hiding her treasures. After all, if she wasn't, she would likely have made a drastic mistake ages ago and would have likely been caught in her doings.
Merciless
~~~~~~~~~~
Make Löpeld mad, she'll never release that grudge on you, and that's something you don't want. She shows 0% mercy to those who anger her! and will stop at absolutely nothing to put them in their place! even if it means costing her, too.
Thieving
~~~~~~~~~~
That's obvious. She is a thief, and she'll never not be a thief. A thief has to be thieving, right? Right.
Speedy
~~~~~~~~~~
Ah, yes, Löpeld is rather fast. She's had years of practice running from store owners and such in mad pursuits to beat them to her stash. She's a fast jumper, a fast runner, a fast thinker... She's fast in everything she does. Slow never won a race, did it?
Alert
~~~~~~~~~~
There is never a moment in her life when Löpeld isn't taking note of her surroundings. Not a sound goes by without her noticing it, and she always takes note of whatever she hears. She has very fast reflexes because of this, and there's no use sneaking up on her, as she'll always hear you first.
Likes:
Shiny things
~~~~~~~~~~
They're her favorite thing to target. It's just something about the way objects shine that she can't seem to get away from...
Running
~~~~~~~~~~
She's had to run so much, Löpeld has actually grown to like the sport. That's probably because it's saved her hide so many times before!
Playing pranks and tricks
~~~~~~~~~~
It's something about watching the confused, sometimes scared, looks on others' faces when she plays pranks on them. It's just rather enjoyable.
Stealing
~~~~~~~~~~
As you'll see below, Löpeld has reasons for stealing, and yes, they're actually moral. The little deeds she commits with her stealings make her feel so good inside.
Roof-jumping
~~~~~~~~~~
There's something about the thrill of that brief moment leaping from rooftop to rooftop that makes Löpeld feel so free inside, a feeling she adores.
The moon
~~~~~~~~~~
It's so shiny, she often finds herself just staring blankly up at it during the night. That is, when she isn't busy stealing something.
The stars
~~~~~~~~~~
Oh, they're all so shiny...
Night time
~~~~~~~~~~
This is the only time Löpeld can do her doings! She can't possible steal things during the day, so loves the final hours of the days.
Dark places
~~~~~~~~~~
All of the little dark places in the city are what make Löpeld successful. After all, she would get caught if it wasn't for dark places.
Hiding
~~~~~~~~~~
Just like up above, if Löpeld couldn't hide, she would be caught.
Battles
~~~~~~~~~~
Löpeld is a very skilled fighter. She loves to show off her abilities and practice her tactics. She just finds it rather enjoyable.
Fire
~~~~~~~~~~
It's her element. What normal person wouldn't like their own element?
Dislikes:
Girly things
~~~~~~~~~~
That's what makes most rich people rich people, after all. They want to get all the latest fashion, the most popular wares, and the best things.
Pink
~~~~~~~~~~
To Löpeld, pink is the color that'll get you seen the quickest. It easily catches people's eye, and it's rather bright, even when not looking directly at it.
The sun
~~~~~~~~~~
With her dark colors, Löpeld can't hide when she's in the sun, which has developed a hatred toward it.
Clouds
~~~~~~~~~~
Though clouds dim out the sun, Löpeld dislikes them because they always forshadow rain, something else she dislikes.
Rain
~~~~~~~~~~
It's water! And she's fire! Bad combination! It also, believe it or not, drastically slows Löpeld down. And that's no bueno.
Storms
~~~~~~~~~~
Too much rain! Too much wind! Löpeld can't possibly go any slower than when she's in a storm!
Water
~~~~~~~~~~
Hmm... Why does Löpeld hate water? It couldn't possibly be her fire element, could it!?
Day time
~~~~~~~~~~
As stated before, Löpeld can't hide during the day, posing a major problem to the way she lives. Because of this, she is nocturnal.
Where does she live?
So you're asking where she lives, huh? Well, let's just put it plain and simple before I go into detail: she doesn't live anywhere. Löpeld is a wanderer. She wanders all around the busy city in which she resides at night, never resting until morning comes, the sun beating over the horizon. At that time, Löpeld doesn't start to go off in a certain direction to where she sleeps. She just finds any random, but comfortable, place nearby and hits the hay there. No questions asked. If it happens to be a place that might get her in danger, that's not a problem. Löpeld is a light sleeper; Any slight noise will disturb her sleep. That's a blessing and a curse. It keeps her safe, but she of ten finds herself relocating to several spots while she tries to sleep during the day.
Another question may be how she manages to get all of her stolen goods to where she sleeps every night. The answer is; she doesn't! Each time she steals something, she puts it in a secret little stash he has hidden somewhere in the city... Where is that stash, you may ask? As if I'd tell you. She keeps it a very deep secret, because, after all, it's hard enough to get the goods and get them to the safe stash, let alone keep its location from slipping out into public.
Why so many scars?
"No thief goes their whole life without getting caught," she says. Though Löpeld is a very, very skilled thief, not even she can go her whole 'career' without getting caught. And got caught she has, more than once to be exact. Whether by her victims, or by those in charge, Löpeld gets caught every once in a while. However, she always saves her fire as a last resort for when she gets caught, which leaves her with quite a few scars to remember. She always just fights off whoever is trying to catch her with her bare claws, and occasionally teeth, until they give up. Unfortunately for her, some are nearly as wily as she is, and have caused her damage. In those cases, which happen rarely, she will then resort to using her fire, knowing they won't be beaten with simple physical attacks.
Why the arm bandages?
As stated above, no thief goes their whole life without a few close scrapes. One particular... 'Client' put up a rather tough fight with her, having found her out after she made a rather drastic mistake when trying to get out of his store. It was a jeweler's store, to be exact, Löpeld's favorite kind. She was careful to take note of the sloppily-placed tripwire in the doorway as she had originally entered, stepping right over it with ease. She had spend a rather large amount of time inside the store, pondering over what she should take. And then she saw it. The biggest, shiniest diamond she had ever seen in her entire life. It sparkled like a child had put too much glitter-glue on it, and Löpeld was mesmerized by its beauty. Without a second thought, she carefully took the diamond off it's stand and placed it in the bag without another word. She walked out the door, deep in thought about the shiny gem she just collected.
But she forgot about the tripwire. Her heart skipped a beat as she felt the wire pull at her front left paw just as she raised it to step outside. Her eyes widened and she nearly dropped the bag holding the precious jewel as the wire snapped like a twig, and a loud alarm went off. Löpeld froze in place, staring wildly about the store in a terrified daze. This had never happened before. She had never fallen for a trap before. While she was frozen in fear, the security system within the store caused the front doors to slam shut, just before she was able to escape. The Sima ran over to the window, staring outside in blatant horror as she saw the cars drive up-the owners were back. Löpeld ran around the store, trying to find a way out, then it hit her; there was always a back door, right? Gazing to the back of the room, her bright orange eyes caught sight of the door. However, it was a fire escape door. But what was the problem? There was already an alarm going off. Before she could even think about it all the way, Löpeld's paws were swiftly carrying her across the store to the back, where she slammed into the door. As it swung open, Löpeld ran out into the dark alleyway. She ran off as she heard the store owners running into the store.
A fresh wave of relief fell over Löpeld as she knew the store owners couldn't find her at this rate. Glancing over her shoulder, she realized that they had seen her. And now, they were following her. Löpeld pressed up against the side of the alleyway, most of her colors blending in well with the dark walls. As she ran, she felt a stinging pain in her right paw. She glanced down and saw a long cut up the side of her forepaw. She looked back quickly and spotted a loose piece of metal poking out from a pipe. 'This really isn't my day,' Löpeld told herself as she realized that she had cut her forepaw on the metal as she ran. Luckily for her, she was quickly losing the shop owners, and she had fully escaped them within a few more minutes.
On her way to the stash she had, Löpeld stopped quickly by another store to get some bandages(what? If you can steal it, why not steal it?) for her forepaw. The grocery store wasn't even guarded by anything other than cameras, which Löpeld was skilled in avoiding. After managing to get some bandages, she made her way back to her stash, where she dropped off the diamond. After dropping it off, she sat down to wrap up her wounds, scolding herself for being such a fool and reminding herself never to make the same mistake again.
What does she use her fire for?
In case of emergency
~~~~~~~~~~
Yeah, I've made my point about this before, but I'll say it again. If Löpeld gets in too much trouble with someone she's trying to steal from, she'll use her fire to defend herself. This has only happened a select few emergencies before.
A light
~~~~~~~~~~
Even some places are too dark for Löpeld to be able to see in. If that's the case, she'll use her fire to light up something nearby, like some scrap wood, to make a torch so she can see properly.
Intimidation
~~~~~~~~~~
There have been a few times when other thieves have spotted Löpeld with her treasure. In these cases, she will simply scare them off by catching her fur on fire or spitting some at them. Simple and easy.
Her favorite time of day?
What better time for a master thief than the night time? I mean honestly, does one really need to ask that? Löpeld loves the night because, like any other thief, she needs to stay hidden, and with her dark fur, what better time to do that than when it's dark out? She would surely be caught at any time during the day, so that's when she sleeps, from dawn to dusk. She tends to prefer staying hidden, so she's often found lurking in the shadows at night until she finds something good to steal.
Her favorite day of the week?
Ah, Löpeld prefers Mondays, and Mondays for one sole reason. Have you ever noticed that people are always groggy and tired during Mondays? And how they have slow reactions to everything? That's why Löpeld likes Mondays. No normal person is ever alert on Mondays, which makes her work all the easier to do. She can just stroll into stores and such while everybody is groggily shuffling around and take what she wants as she snakes past the security cameras. She is always most successful on Mondays.
Her favorite food?
Löpeld has to take breaks sometimes. And when she does, it's usually just sitting around wherever she happens to be, and eating her favorite food, bananas. She's not sure why, but she has always had an odd liking of bananas. She likes how they're easy to hold and easy to peel. Also not to mention their amazing flavor. Her love for bananas is probably the only silly thing about Löpeld. She spends her whole week collecting bananas so she can sit around on Sundays and have an amazing bananamanza feast by her stash.
Why does she steal things?
Now, you're probably wondering, "Is there ANYTHING moral to what Löpeld does? Does her stash ever get full?" Well, the answer to both of those questions is yes! Löpeld steals for a reason. See, she has always hated the rich and high-class people, absolutely despising how they treat others. As a very young Sima growing up on the streets, she has first-hand experience to how high-class people treat the lower classes. Over the years, Löpeld had developed a hatred toward the rich and fancy. She felt that they take far more than they need and give none in return, and thus made it her goal to return what the rich have taken and give it to the poor. That's why she started stealing in the first place. She fills up her stash quickly through the weeks, and then at the end, empties it all by giving the rare gems and jewels, delectable foods, and fancy toys and clothes to the poor low-classes around the streets. So is Löpeld basically just a Sima Robin Hood in a sense? Maybe, but she doesn't care. She's doing what she wants, and she'll never stop until she's dead.
What does she go for when she steals things?
She'll go for anything that poor ones might possibly find useful and/or enjoyable in life. This meaning she'll go for absolutely anything from ham to diamonds to toy trains. She will only take these things from those who are wealthy or rich. She will never in a million years steal anything from any poor people. Not even for a life's supply of bananas. Doing so would be completely against her entire moral code, and nothing would ever get her to do so.
How does she get from building to building?
That's an easy question. Roof-jumping! After all, nobody in this big city cares to ever look up, as anybody could plainly see if they paid attention. Löpeld gets around by hopping on roofs from building to building, even during rain storms or thunder storms. She has practiced doing this her entire life, and has thus become very skilled in doing so, never losing her footing and never falling down to the alleyways below. She tends to prefer flat-topped buildings so there's a lesser chance of falling, as roofs with slanted statures are easier to slip and fall on.
Why does she wear the bandana on her muzzle?
Every time Löpeld breathes, she exhales an odd, glowing orange mist. This is because of the ability to control fire. However, this exhaled mist had posed a problem for Löpeld in the past. It could easily draw attention when she was hiding, for it's rather bright in color and luminescence. Because it was becoming a growing problem in the past, Löpeld got her bandana and put it over her muzzle so the mist couldn't float out into the open air. It has worked very well, and Löpeld hasn't removed the bandana for a very long time.
