When Auriel isn't creating storms, she's usually found either laying on or grazing near a mountain outcrop overlooking a clear lake that formed when part of the mountain collapsed. As a foal, her mother often brought her there, and told her stories about how the mountain made a deal with the Fernans that lived on and around it: that, if they fed its trees and plants using their elements, it would reward them by gathering water and creating a sanctuary for them to thrive in. The outcrop provides a perfect view over this promised area, and at night, when the skies are clear, she often feels as though she's staring into a portal into the sky of a separate universe below her hooves.

Of course, when she's neither stirring up storms or at the outcrop, she enjoys playing in the shallows of the water. A turtle that she became friends with as a foal lives there, and she enjoys a blended game of tag and hide and seek - of course, she's always "it", but it's the fun that matters, right? And when the game wears her out, she can always flop into the muddy bank and let her little buddy climb up her foreleg and onto her shoulder, pretending he's conquered a great beast or giant.

[I hope that's alright for a story. xD It's an odd one to come up with. Like... am I to write about one instance...? Or maybe I can do what I did? ;akdj Regardless, I gave it a go. ^^;]
