#35

Postby KathrynKat » Wed Jan 28, 2015 4:54 am

Just going to start on the stories and such now, so that way she's ready by time Cobweb, comes back to send a message (hopefully soon, it's been like 11 days since they said I can have her after waiting 10 days)

I may also rename her but I am unsure of the name atm :/
So for the stories and what so I'll just call her the mare or whatever :/

First Touch

It was a nice chill morning as I went out for a ride on IsaBelle, the fog has already cleared, birds and
squirrels chirping and chattering. The winds blowing quietly as we strolled through the neighborhood.
I came across a yard with a very lovely blue and white Neravontii that appeared to be a Mutant. She looked shy
and not very bonded, but she seemed happy with the whether this morning. I rode Ise towards the gates to check out the mare.

I dismounted and tied IsaBelle to the fence, and walked over to the fence and held out a carrot. I stood their for awhile,
with my hand held out, just staring at her beauty. After about 5 minutes the mare finally walked slowly towards, but on the way she stopped at least 5 times, and just lowered her head to eat the grass. It took about 5 minutes before she finally reached me, and just stood their looking down at me. She walked forward, and and slowly reached for the carrot. I held my other hand out to give it a shot on stroking the mare. I wondered if the mare has even been bonded to after adopted. She seemed like she'd lived here for awhile.

I stood there for awhile petting the mare, and just fell in love with her, so I walked over to Isabelle and untied her.
I entered the property to go knock on the owners door. The owner answered and seemed tired, and as if a very busy person.
"Hey I was just wondering if your interested in selling your Lovely mare Neravontii" they looked at me and told me to just let my mare lose into the paddock with her mare, and welcomed me into their house. I introduced myself, and told them a little about myself and how many Neravontiis I own, and how well bonded they and I are. They seemed very interest, so I made them a very high offer. They told me "I'm very busy with school, and other stuff, how would you be interested if I just give her to you as for I can trust her in your hands" I jumped with excite, but then settled and held my hand out for agreement.
"I promise you she'll be in forever good hands, and become a fully trained Neravontii"

They then walked me out to their stable where they keep the mare's tack she was going to use for her when she was fully trained, and other gear, plus all her food. I told them I'll have to run home first to go grab my car so I could pick it all up. They nodded and said to just knock on their door and they'll help load, and would like to say goodbye to their mare before leaving.

I rushed home and came back with my car, I had reach the house and knocked on their door. they didn't answer, but a few moments later they had walked out of the stables with all the stuff ready to go. I ran over excited, Thank you so much. I hurried to load the stuff into my car, and we walked to the pasture to gather the mare. This time I had left IsaBelle at home.
I gathered the Mare and slowly loaded her into the trailer hoping she will not freak out. She loaded well and was very calm about it.

I thanks them once more and shook hands, "You can come visit her anytime you like" I handed them a paper with my phone number and address, and hopped into my car to drive off with my new mare.

First Saddle

When I got home I let the mare lose with the rest of my Neravontiis and stood out their hanging out with them for a long time.
She seemed to get along very well with IsaBelle, but didn't seem to mind the rest. She mostly stood alone checking out the much larger lot with tons of Neravontiis. I bet she's not seen any others in a very long time as was very lonely.

Next Day.....

It was the following morning of picking up a new mare. The mare seemed to be in an incredible mood, while the rest of my Neravontiis seemed like they just wished it was warmer, excepted for Ghost seemed to also not mind it as much.
Ghost and the new mare were just standing at the fence waiting to be greeted. I ran to the stables to grab a sack of carrots. I then entered the paddock to greet Ghost and the New Mare, and the rest of my Neravontiis. the 2 mares followed me as I walked to the others. I softly pushed Ghost's face away "You Fatty I already gave you 2, isn't that enough?" I broke a carrot in half and threw it. She hurried after it, as I walked away as the new mare still followed me. She didn't seem to care much about having more but just interested in following me.

Getting to the point
After half an hour of hanging out with all of my Neravontiis (total of 12), I slipped a halter onto the mare that I had hanging from my arm the whole time. She seemed to trust me well with the halter. I didn't really have to lead her, all it took was me to walk and her to follow. What's with this mare and her wanting to follow me?

I tied the mare to the post outside the stables to grab her saddle, I then set it in front of her, she checked it out and just looked away to enjoy the view. I slowly tossed the saddle pad onto her back, and moved it into place. She looked back at the saddle pad to check it out. Seems she hasn't exactly seen tack before. She lifted her tail and pulled the saddle pad off her back and dangled it over her head to check it out. She seemed very curious of what the thing was and held it over me then just dropped it. She then snorted. I picked it up, to wipe the dirt off. I then tried again but this time rubbing it on her sides and then moving it into place, I turned around to pick up the saddle. The saddle pad was gone. I looked on the ground and it wasn't there. I saw her tail twitch a little, it also being hidden on her other side. She suddenly turned her head looking to the same side her tail was. I set the saddle down, to see what she was doing. She was not only hiding it but still curious of this thing.

It took about 10 minutes to get her to just leave it on her back, I then awarded her with a carrot, and sighs of relief, "wow finally" So I turned around to grab the saddle, and this time I turn around to her head resting over the post she was tied to.
I tossed the saddle on, and reached for the straps to fasten the saddle to her. She had given up on messing with the saddle pad, but now curious on what this extra weight was sitting on her back.
This time as for the saddle is to heavy she just turned and looked at it, and even nibbled on it a tiny bit.
I finally turned around to grab the bridle. I pulled a sugar cube out of my pocket and held it in the same hand as the bit.
I carefully slipped the bridle on as I slipped the bit into her mouth. She seemed curious and distracted by the bit of
metal that sat in her mouth, that she just couldn't remove. She lifted one of her forelegs to try and tug but nothing worked.
She finally gave up.

I then untied her and walked her to the round pen, to exercise her and get her used to the feel of a saddle.
I signaled her to walk and trot, so on, even thought her what was needed to be known for when I'm ready to ride her.

First Ride

After about half and hour of teaching the mare everything she needed to know she was already used to the saddle.
I called her to a halt and had her walk to the center. I then greeted, her with a carrot, and walked to her saddle to
tighten it to what it's needed before mounting. I collected the reins, and lifted my foot into the stirrup. I pulled my weight up, and sat carefully in the saddle. I hurried to be sure both feet were in the stirrups, to be sure I had full control. I then signaled her to walk on, and after a few steps, it may have surprised her with the feel of weight as she walked. I spooked her just a bit so she got a little jumpy, but didn't actually buck and kick around. It only took her 5 minutes to be completely calm. I decided to ride her into the paddock.

What a nice day, she's always in a perfect mood in the cold mornings. I greeted my other Neravontiis and pulled out some
small carrots from my coat pocket. ZeKorra was one of the First to greet me, following her was Macy and Poker.
I spent a good 2 hours riding the mare around the paddock as the other Neravontiis will often chase and taunt. They are
such goof balls and I love them.

After the long period, I dismounted and led the mare to the stables to unsaddle her and released her with the rest.
