What is a Kora?
A Kora is a large feline largely resembling a leopard or lion. All Koras have a fluffy dorsal mane, starting from the end of the tail and ending at the crown of the head, falling over the face. Their faces are broad, like a lion, but they have wider eyes adapted to seeing in the dark. Koras have large, tufted tails. We have yet to know what the purpose of such an ornamental tail would be. Koras have long, waterproof fur, good for keeping out water and unfavorable temperatures. Much like their ancestors, the cheetah, snow leopard, and lion, all Koras have spots almost covering their bodies. Occasionally they may be more sparse, but they will always have them for the purpose of camouflage in their harsh wild habitat.

All Koras are given a necklace with a large pendant when they reach the age of two years. This pendant fits their looks and usually says something about their personality as well. The necklaces are custom colored to match or accent the fur color of the particular Kora wearing it.

Taken; it's a rather unique name, in my opinion. What serves as a word defined as ripped away from one's grasp or forcefully removed now adorns a beautiful Kora, and with which she stands proud.

{Very} Short Story;;
A cocoon hung high in a rather tall sycamore tree. Once a shade of light green, it had browned and now looked rather frail and delicate. It's dark skin had thinned and lightened, revealing a rather odd sight from within. Where a butterfly should be, a creature with no wings lay curled. It was frightfully white, like a butterfly can be when first emerging. A crack split down the middle, and out came tumbling a beautiful Kora. When it seemed like she might hit the ground, an almost magical force seemed to catch her, leaving her hovering above the ground until she reached out a gentle paw and planted herself firmly on the ground.
A delicate smile lay gently on her face, and as she wandered forward, color sparks around her white fur, the blood flowing new in her veins and bringing depth and design to her blank fur. By the time she had reached her destination, she was a dazzling sight that turned many heads.
Walking into the indoor gardens, the place her journey had first start when she was born, she knew that she was home once more.

　Pleased to meet you, my name is HarryPotter<3, but for short I just go by Harry. I've been an active member of Chickensmoothie for almost four years now, and I have stumbled upon this beautiful Kora you have for adoption, and this is my ticket for a chance to own her.

　If I was given the opportunity to own this Kora, her name would be Mariposa, but go by Posy for short. I chose Mariposa because not only do I find it a lovely name, but it is also a type of flower the butterfly are attracted to, because it is a great source of food. It is pronounced Mary - Pose - ah, and her nickname is pronounced Pose - ee.

　Posy was born female, and to this day she has kept her given gender with no intentions of changing it in the future. She is very feminine in nature, and does enjoy being a girl. Her only complaint is that bad hair days exist for her.

➳ e x t r a - q u i r k s

　Number one -
Posy enjoys sleeping in odd positions. Most simply snooze on their tummies, head rested on their paws, Posy sleeps curled back like a doughnut, paws stretched out, tail covering her eyes. In strange places too. Laid back on a tree branch, napping in an open field, dreaming on my desk, knowing I should be writing a paper, but she finds the keys to be good back scratchers.

　Number two -
Posy adores the feeling of running water. She will sit in a stream for hours, feeling the cold water trickle over her paws, occasionally sticking her nose in to blow a couple of bubbles. Water is so relaxing to her. I can hardly take a shower without her, popping her head in to feel the water run over her muzzle.

　Number three -
And Finally, Posy is a very jumpy Kora. Not jumpy as in scared, but jumpy as in she will hide in the strangest places and wait for anyone to pass, then jump out, determined to give them the hiccups. When the weather is to awful to go exploring, she will wait on top of shelves, under tables, any place that she can blend in and wait for her next victim. It all started when Posy had so cleverly hidden in my suit case, knowing I'd soon have to pack it that night, since I was leaving in the morning and she would not be able to come on this trip. As revenge, she decided to scare the bajebus out of me, and by accident, gave me the hiccups that lasted three hours, forty nine minutes, and two seconds. She counted. Giving people the hiccups by scaring them is one of her favorite past times, & is a great way to have a laugh and cure boredom.

I would name this gorgeous kora Nova Yara; Nova meaning 'Chases Butterflies' and Yara meaning 'Little Butterfly'. I thought that it was a cute, and fitting name for her.
