Korona Knight, applying for her first Kora on the new lines :3
Kora's Name;;
Coal "Otega" {Oh-tay-gah}. I'm not sure where I've heard the name before, or if I just made it up, but it seems to fit him, as it sounds rather tribal, and he looks rather tribal! His first name was Coal, but once he took over as chief of his tribe, he became known as Otega.
Gender;;
Male; definitely male ^^
History;;
Coal grit his teeth against the pain as a the hot coals pricked at his paws.
Mind steady, mind clear, he thought to himself, continuing to grit through the pain and walk on. He wasn't even halfway, and already his paws felt like they were going to fall off. He knew he had to clear his mind, but he just couldn't. There was too much to think about it.
Every tribe member stood along the coal bed, watching his every move. In between each member, there were pale, opaque figures as well; the ancestors of their past, watching his journey from child to adulthood. He was only a teenager, but this was to signify that he was a man.
He had already failed this test three times before. Each was a worse humiliation than the last. Being the chief's son, he was supposed to be stronger and better than the rest. This had put too much pressure on the young Kora, and he crumbled under the pressure every time.
Something amazing began to happen to him this time, however. His white markings began to glow, and his eyes radiated the soft white light. Strength was renewed in his paws and the rest of his body, and soon he was gracefully running across the hot coals as if they were nothing.
When he reached the other side, he was greeted by his mother, then by his father.
"I had great faith in you son; now I know you are ready to take over the tribe one day. You unlocked the secrets of your own powers long before I ever did. You are stronger than you know," he murmured, licking Coal on the head.
Coal stood next to his father as he gave the age old speech to accept him as the newest full fledged member of the ribe.
"And with great pride, I give the name Otega unto the one once known as Coal," his father concluded, looking down at his son, pride shining in his eyes.
Otega fluffed out his chest, looking at the tribe members, who all were now bowing down to him, welcoming him in as their new future leader.
