What is a Kora?
A Kora is a large feline largely resembling a leopard or lion. All Koras have a fluffy dorsal mane, starting from the end of the tail and ending at the crown of the head, falling over the face. Their faces are broad, like a lion, but they have wider eyes adapted to seeing in the dark. Koras have large, tufted tails. We have yet to know what the purpose of such an ornamental tail would be. Koras have short, coarse fur, good for keeping out water and unfavorable temperatures. Much like their ancestors, the leopard, cheetah, and jaguar, all Koras have spots almost covering their bodies. Occasionally they may be more sparse, but they will always have them for the purpose of camouflage in their harsh wild habitat.

{My username is Korona Knight. This is the...I believe fourth Kora I've tried out for, and I have one right now and another on the way {I believe}. Right now, Koras are my life; I'm moderating for them and stalking them. They're one of my favorite adoptables I've seen, and I can't wait to add to my slowly growing collection :3
Kora's Name;
{I would love to name this Kora Nero. Nero was one of the characters in a book I started writing {and gave up on long ago}. Neo is the Latin word for Neon, and I thought adding an extra letter made it unique and interesting enough to fit someone so...bright!
Gender;
{I think this Kora looks like a male. His colors are bright and crazy, yet they seem more masculine then feminine. I always enjoy seeing males in bright colors anyway.
Art/Story;
{Nero glared at the murky puddle in front of him, an angry snarl plain on his face. With an angry grunt, he swiped his massive puddle across the image, breaking it and creating ripples across the surface of the water.
"A little upset, now are we?" a soft voice purred, another Kora settling beside him.
"Leave me alone," Nero snapped, turning towards the Kora. He stopped, blinking twice as he got a good look at her.
"What's got you down?" the other feline murmured, a soft smile across her maw. She cast her sapphire gaze in his direction, flipping the white and blue fur out of her eyes, though it only settled back on her face once more.
"Nothing," Nero replied, looking back down at the puddle, knowing his white fur did not hide his blushing very well. He knew the female had picked up on it; however, she didn't seem to be reacting to it.
Silence filled the air for a few minutes, that time bliss to Nero's ears. The entire day he'd been told he wasn't good enough. He wasn't good enough for his ex-mate; he wasn't good enough for his family to want anymore; he wasn't good enough to love, really. By this point, he had begun to believe them all.
"The water's beautiful, isn't it?" the female asked, breaking the silence. He looked over at her, perplexed; he didn't find water all that pretty. She continued, "They say I was born in the water. My mother had fallen into the ice one winter, and as they were dragging her out, they saw me trailing behind. It was a miracle I survived; the birth alone was too much for my mother. She died a few days later. I guess others expected me to hate the water for taking my mother's life away and almost taking mine. They say if the water hadn't been so cold, her body wouldn't have gone into shock. It was the shock that caused me to come early."
"Who are you?" Nero finally asked. He couldn't deal with not knowing who this Kora was, especially after hearing something so personal.
"Nympha," she replied coolly, looking over at him with another delicate smile.
"Nero," he answered back, looking away once more.
"The point of my story, Nero, was that even though bad things happen, it's usually for a reason. I'm the best fisher out of my family, and I can stand colder temperatures than everyone else. I've also been told I'm the prettiest," she giggled softly, flipping her hair out of her deep blue eyes once more. "Don't let whatever's bothering you keep you down for too long."
The small Kora stood up then, stretching and arching her back, a look of peace and calm on her face. "See you around, Nero," she purred in her every soothing voice, flicking her tail before walking off.
Nero's gaze followed her until she disappeared back into the forest. He returned to looking at his reflection, but this time from a whole new perspective. So he wasn't the most manly of all the Koras; big deal. He was who he was, and no one had a right to tell him that he couldn't do something because of that.
With new found self-confidence, Nero stood up and walked towards the woods. His dark personality was lightened ever so much, and he was going to show the world who he really was.
