Personality: Sawyer is a very happy, cheerful stallion, that can usually put
a smile onto anyone's face. He really has no temper and is very easygoing.
Along with that calm, cool, side, comes a wise, caring side. He can tell
when someone is in danger, and is never afraid to but in and help. He tries
to avoidconflict, but when it comes to friends in harms way, he is always
there to step up to the plate. He is very smart and charming, a mare magnet.
Unlike some stallions, Sawyer doesn't have multiple mares, he just has one
he loves and cares about. He is very kind to his mate, and always keeps her
out of any harm. If other stallions or any horse in that matter upset her,
he can turn protective, but is chilled and laid back most of the time. When
he is searching for that perfect mate, he can be flirty and rude with stallions,
but that is usually the only time he is. Other than that, he is usually a
very funny, cool stallion to be around. He's the go-to-guy, with his
almost full-of-himself personality. But- he's a very friendly, a great
horse for a child. With his low tempered, kind, charming personality,
he's the horse most children at the ranch learn to ride on. When kids are
riding him, he is careful and very attentive to them. He makes sure that
they are not frightened or uncomfortable, or even bored. He makes every
experience fun and grand. One other love besides mares and children, is
competing. He has a passion for barrels racing, as it's what he lives to do.
He loves the feel when you just barley graze a barrel, and it teeters, then
stands upright yet again; the sounds of the buzzer as you shoot out like a
bullet towards the first barrel; the feel of the rider, kicking and steering,
so happy and energetic; and the praise and treats after a good run. It is
what he loves. He has had a desire to compete western since he was a foal,
racing around the pasture as a foal with his buddy Dusty. Sawyer has actually
seen Dusty multiple times during competitions, and truthfully- Sawyer is
better than him! After all the years of loosing to him, suddenly transformed
into Dusty loosing to him! When Sawyer had beat him almost every run since
he moved stables, he felt on top of the world. He felt like the weight of the
world was lifted off his shoulders. So in conclusion, Sawyer is just an all
around great horse to have. With his caring, charming, and laid back
personality, he's great for anyone, especially kids. But nothing compares
to his love and passion, of competing.

Short History: Sawyer was born in a grand stables, with many horses
of all different shapes and sizes. From Clydesdales, to Shetland ponies;
from world ranked competitors, to horses in training. The stables was giant,
it was called "Cottonwood Horse Ranch". Sawyer was a very quiet foal, quite
weary of the world at first glance. His mother, Bess wasn't the kindest, but
she took good care of Sawyer and raised him well. He was not too old when
he first explored the meadow. He was set out in it with his mother one day,
and a relatively hyper foal bounced up to him. "Hiya I'm Dusty, let's be friends!"
Too shocked to say something, Sawyer stood there like Dusty was a ghost.
"Eh, you're shy. But whatever, come on!" Dusty had already twirled around,
as he skipped away. Sawyer glanced up to his mom, who only nudged him
away and continued grazing. With a sigh, Sawyer caught up with the joyous
foal. Slowly but surely, the two foals became best friends, and Sawyer
blossomed into a strong, brave, cheerful foal. Everything seemed tip-top
shape, until one of the ranch-hands took him out to a trailer. He was put
inside, along with one other horse... Dusty! They were about one at the
time, as they where set off to new homes. Of course, hey didn't know that,
until Sawyer was unloaded at a small stables, and Dusty was still in the
trailer as they sped off out of sight. Sawyer never forgot Dusty, but now
has a new life- full of friends, fun, and happiness. He's surrounded by many
horses, all kind and dear, and none too big and none too small. The stables
was the perfect size, with only about two dozen horses there. Guess what,
Sawyer's doing so good, he's got himself a mate! Her name is Darling, and
that is all he cares about. Sawyer and Dusty still see each other on occasion,
mainly during competitions, and they still talk. Even miles apart, their
friendship still lasts. It'll last a lifetime.

Owners: Mr. & Mrs. Parks
Short Story: Look to the right, in the first quote box.
Why I Should Have Him: The real question is... Why not? I've been
with the CWHR since the beginning if time. He's just such a pretty horse,
and if I were to win him, he'd be happy with all my CWHR horses. I'd
give this beautiful horse a wonderful home. It'd be such a shame to
give it into the hands of someone who really didn't care. I really do
love my horses I have here. This adoption line is my favorite adoption
thread on chickensmoothie! I spend most of my time on here. I
would be so honored in having this beautiful boy. c:
