Butternut SquashButternut squash information wrote:Butternut squash is a delicious plant that is commonly eaten as a soup/bisque or mashed up like mashed potatoes. It has a delicious sweet taste that can easily be ruined with too much salt or butter but when the perfect amount of seasoning is added it might just be too good to handle.
The squash has seeds that look similar to pumpkin seeds and grows to be a long, pale yellow food that can have an orange tint and tends to be a bit large at the bottom.
Butternut squash is sometimes called Butternut pumpkin in some areas of the world.
I choose the name Butternut because I got one recently and it tasted amazing, I has trouble thinking of a name for this sweetheart but I couldn't help but name him Butternut when I thought of it. Many people give a creature a name based off appearance, I prefer either a name to represent as much of the character as possible or just a nice name, that might represent something as an added bonus. This time it was just a nice name. I could probably develop a personality around the fruit of a thick skinned WtD who is sweet on the inside but at the time that I am writing this I have already written a personality that I love too much to change or rewrite.
Nicknames:Butternut is not a fan of nicknames but has never asked people not to come up with any so you might sometimes hear him called Butter, Nut, Nutbut, or Butbut.
Gender:You probably guessed by now because a lot of my form has gone by but if you still need to know this little Butbut is a
male!

Personality - (extra)
Butternut is a cheerful young dragon, his motto is "A smile is a curve that sets everything strait" and tried to have an upbeat attitude towards everything, constantly wearing a smile.
Although he tried to be happy and cheerful he may seem boring to the active eye. More mature creatures think of him as simply calm but sometimes he seem unmotivated or inactive.
He rarely jumps around, runs, or gets very excited.
"If you can't or won't make someone happy at least be respectful." Butternut is very respectful of others, he respects their rights, their possessions, their religion, and anything else. Even if he feels he could have done better or that what they did, have, or believe in is not very good he keeps his mouth shut, and curved in a friendly smile. He talks respectfully and calmly and listens intently to what you say, he really is nice to be around.

Detailed. Butternut is a friendly, respectful Whiptail Dragon who enjoys knowledge and tries to looks at the good side of things. Many consider him wise but he is not very active, causing him to not remain very fit.
Butternut is non competitive and dislikes harm in any form. If he can't have a good effect on someone he always makes sure he has no effect as all. Butternut has a harsh past but is very well disciplined, and very social.
Butternut prefers to stay dry and cozy inside but will sit outside with a warm drink sometimes to get some fresh air.
This dragon has a nice job, and is very good at it, he has a good amount of money going into his wallet but most of it goes to home decor and comfort because he dislikes what most think of as games and fun these days.
Butternut is old-school, and seems to be the position of authority at most times. He is a mature adult, growing a bit old, but still is interested in dating. Butternut is very picky with things that might affect him long term like choosing a mate, he wants his second half to support him well, not drag him down because he considers himself at a very good point in life right now. Butternut, as already mentioned is calm but when he is very frustrated or under extreme stress he will raise his voice. Most recognize him as a wise figure who should be obeyed but a rebellious teenager might realize he would never actually harm or punish them and refuse to obey.
Butternut is very logical and most will believe him because he is always addressing the subject, speaking clearly, listening to the being of which he is talking to or arguing with, and being respectful.
Butternut often says "My mistake" or other similar things because he knows that it is more enjoyable to be around someone who doesn't try to blame others and that unless whoever he is with is horribly rude he will not be "bullied" in the future because of that. Butternut can handle an offensive joke but prefers not to hear them. Butternut never uses bad language.
- Story
Note; Butternut has gotten wet and been in the rain before this, but never really experienced swimming in cold fresh water. He always in the past avoided getting wet.
On a beautiful day Butternut was going on a walk and passed by a small path leading away into the woods. He decided to be a bit adventurous and he went through the woods on a walk down the path he had never taken before. As he gently strolled along the depleting dirt path a strange glimmer in the distance caught his eye. Butternut slowly cantered his way over to the strange glimmer and saw a large amount of water pooled in the middle of the land it must have been the lake that he heard others tell him about. He cautiously stepped along side the shore and sat down at the bank taking his paw and carefully dipping it inside, as the cool water pressed against his skin he let out a soft sigh on how great this felt. After a few minutes letting his body get use to the temperature he began to walk slowly in the lake making sure to look all around as if not to disturb part of the ecosystem that lived here a movement caught his eye seeing some fish scatter around his paws. They where beautiful he was almost sad he had never seen this place before walking further in he saw more strange things that have been hidden here like ducks, turtles and frogs. After what felt like just a few minutes he looked up seeing how late it was getting. The sun was already beginning to set! He hurried out of the pool and started to dry off. Butternut began to head home as he watched the lake disappear from his view he agreed to one day come back to this mystical place.
