Short Story (292 Words):
I growled at my enemy, slowly stalking forward. I threatened him with my claws and teeth, preparing myself for the attack. My target did not even blink as I did so. My eyes were filled with concentration and new ideas on how to preform this attack. I pounced, digging my claws into the woody flesh of my prey.
I stepped back from the log and looked over my handy work, finding ways to make it better. I thought of how I started and finished and everything in between. All moment count when it comes to fighting a true enemy. I continued to scar up my new found prey until I was dropping rivers of sweat and my muscles shook.
I sighed and turned, going to find some water to cool myself. I shook my head to shake off some of the moisture as I walked along. I found some water and cooled myself before stretching and finding a boulder to relax on for a bit. I thought over the move in my head, hoping to find an improvement I could use.
I had vowed to myself to become the best warrior I could be, training myself even after I became a warrior. I would improve the way I fought and protect those I love and do my job better than I would have been able to without practice and the self training I've been giving myself.
My main goal was to protect and help the one I loved the most in my life at this time, my brother, Ronin. I vowed to protect my only family with my life and help him in any battle he fights. Weather it be physical or emotional I wish and always will be there for him.
