I was born on a cold day about a year or two ago. We (My mother and i) stayed In the herd I was born into for a few months until something weird started to happen.... Horses went missing in the night. Almost every horse out of a group of 18 were gone. It was just me, my mother, and a 5 others. That night we al stayed huddled together and kept quiet hoping whatever took the rest was not waiting for one of us to fall asleep. Stalking its prey like a wolf. My mother stiffened and turned her head to where the trees were. There were voices.... Strange voices and with the voices came the soft clopping of hooves. Soon a whole group of horses with... with strange animals on their backs surrounded us we tried to run through and im sure my mother and the rest could have gotten free but my mother would not leave me. The other horses let out amused neighs and whiney. The strange animals on their backs started swinging ropes and some of them moved and let us run and get away. Mother told me the things were humans. They are crazy and who knows why they do the thing they do! We ran and ran then I looked back what I saw made me feel like I was going to pass out. All of them were chasing us before I knew it I was brought down next to my mom. I saw my mother at least five more times before being shoved into a metal box with other horses and taken to a nice place that smelt like fresh grass and hay, apples were my favorite though. I tried to put my head up to the window to see but I was still to small.... soon we stopped and the door opened and we were taken out. There I was broke the next day In a big pen where I kicked up dirt at the human to make her stay away but soon I gave up and after a little hard work I had a halter with some rope on me she led me around the pen giving me small sugar cubes once in a while. A car came up into the driveway and she squealed and took off running leaving me in the pen alone. She hugged the person inside and led her inside the barn. I waited what felt like a whole day before deciding what I wanted to do. I missed my mother so I would go find her. I ran as fast as I could and leaped over the huge pen gate. I landed and trotted away. "The horse jumped the fence we have to get him!" A man yelled. Well I was going to be put back in there I might as well as have some fun right? The man came running at me and I ran towards him he slipped in mud and fell on his butt witch made my jump easier and I leaped over him just fine. I repeated my act with two others till the girl came out and caught my roe before I could jump again. She took me in the barn and started to brush me off. Some man came in and slapped his gloved hand on my rear end. I neighed and kicked back but did not hit anything. "This horse is a good one! He jumped that fence and leaped over 3 men! He is a natural jumper. You looked like a eagle or something out there. As if you had wings. " the man smiled and gave me a small apple slice and left the barn. "A bird huh?" The girl said. The next day and a half were training then finally I was given a nod from the big guy that was at the place, and soon put up for adoption. I was very excited to meet my new human the one I would grow fond of and take care of through the years.
