What are Simaras?
Simaras are small wolf/cat creatures. The largest they can get is the size of a house cat, which is why some are mostly domestic. They are very friendly creatures, and extremely social, living in a pack of ten or more. Simaras live mostly in the tropical regions of the world, making their homes in bushes and some have even been found in trees. A Simara finds a mate and challenges others for dominancy by using their tails and claws, and sometimes horns. They don't mate for life, so they can mate with different Simaras, though they can mate only once every two weeks in our time. Their tails have guards on the sides of the crystal within it like a sword almost. The jewels on their tails are always the same color as their eyes. They glow at night, though the glow isn't visible in the day, most the time anyway. All Simaras are also covered in thick, fluffy fur that's soft to the touch.
A Simara can have two types of horns; stubby or long. It is not common for you to find them with horns, but its not completely uncommon to.
Looky here, this one has an odd gem and a floppy ear. How cute. This one looks more like a pet. To win it, just fill out the form. If you add art, you can always order it or draw it.

How he/she got the collar:
Quentin never wanted to be a house-Simara, though he had been since birth. He had always enjoyed the outdoors and wished that he could roam the bushes and trees, free to do as he liked with no one to tell him what he could or could not do. Sadly, Quentin had been a house-Simara ever since he could remember. He despised his owners, and disobeyed their commands out of spite.
One day, Quentin heard his owners talking about how he was always misbehaving, and how they thought that maybe he needed more space. But how could they be sure that he wouldn't run astray or get lost in the big outside world? They came up with a great idea, and decided to waste no time in going through with their plan.
In a good mood, Quentin let his owners lead him into their vehicle, and watched out the window glass as they sped down the road, and took him places he had never seen. They stopped at a large building, with many smells and noises that made Quentin curious. He was very eager to leave the vehicle and explore, but his owners kept a tight hold on him as they walked into the building. Though he was certainly unhappy to be indoors again, his mood was soon forgotten as he looked about himself to see so many bright and colorful toys and treats and wonderfully odd things. His tail wagged, and his nose wiggled, and his eyes flickered about the room. It was all so much to take in at once!
A man in store-uniform walked up to Quentin and his owners and introduced himself as 'Martin', and then proceeded to ask if he could be of any assistance.
"We're interested in purchasing a collar and some tags for our precious Quentin, could you direct us to the right isle?"
Martin smiled, "Of course, right this way."
Collar? What is a collar? What does it do? Quentin wondered, and then fearfully, I hope it is not painful!
Once in the right isle, Martin left them to browse.
"Look at this one dear, such a nice purple, it would go great with his fur!"
"No no, I think we should get this one, it is black and plain, we need nothing fancy." They pondered a while longer, holding these collars and more up to Quentin's neck.
Oh I sure do hope they are not planning on choking me to death! Quentin whimpered.
Finally, his owners decided, "Honey, how about we let Quentin choose which collar he likes best?" And so they did.
Well, Quentin thought bravely, if I must die, I will do so in style. He browsed the rainbow of collars hung up on the shelf for a long moment, before finally, he picked out a nice strong collar of the warmest color red. This is the one. He declared so by grabbing it up in his jaws and prancing to his owner's feet.
"It's perfect!" and, "Good boy Quentin!" They declared.
They took the beautifully plain collar to Martin, and he helped them make tags with their address. They paid for the collar and tags, with Martin sending them on their way with a smile.
Once outside, Quentin and his owners hopped back into their vehicle, and they turned to face him.
"Let's try it on!" Quentin was afraid at first, but once the collar was on, he was very happy! It wasn't too bad at all. Surely he wasn't being choked, and the collar did look nice with his fur...
But the best part was... when they got home and his owners let him out of the car and let him play in the yard -- all on his own!
