6:00 a.m- I woke up early excited to go out and work with my new mare, Rain Song. She was gorgeous. I put on my riding clothes just in case I got dirty. Rain Song was already up and walked to her corral slowly, "Hey pretty girl." I said calmly. She snorted and stood in the center of the corral with her ears flattened.

8:00 a.m- I sat with the mare for two hours speaking to her every few minutes or so just to let her know I was there and had no intentions on hurting her. I looked over to her and jumped into the corral daringly. She backed up and looked directly at me.

11:00 a.m for all the time I simply stood there and walked around getting her to know I certainly wasn't going to hurt her. Since horses are herd animals I started working on breaking her. I would walk to her and then turn away. When she got curious and tried to see me I would avoid looking at her and walked a step away.

1:00 p.m after doing the same thing for two hours we did the same thing and at one point she walked over to me and accepted me to pet her.

2:30 p.m- I pet her for an hour and a half. So excited on the inside the she accepted me. Eventually she let me pull the pink hater on her and lead her out of the corral and into her own stall.
