I woke up to a horse screaming,I quickly threw on my flannel shirt,and some overalls.I run to the barn,over the gravel with nothing but bare feet.There was a stall door open and it belonged to Missy, who was in foal,she came to cottonwood for a show a while back and was covered by one of the Quarter horse horse Studs.After seeing she had gotten loose I started to head towards the loud calls.I found her near the creek with a cute little filly.A grey filly just like her mother.She was up and prancing around in no time.Since I was in charge of taking care of Missy,I decided to name the foal Cricket.

From the 23rd-30th we will be celebrating the Grey Games, so come and join the fun~!
A few facts and rules:

Short Story:
I just stood up, like I did every day, to take out my dog and my bike. My working place was the near by riding stable.
It was a rainy, cold day and I was dripping wet when I reached the stables. Unusually silence surrounded the barns. I didn't cared that much, maybe it was just because of that big competition in the next town. I took of the leash of my dog and took her to the yearling barn where she waited for me every day.

It was rather early that morning, but the horses where not fed, so I did that. Black Sun laid his ears back as soon as I approached his box, but I was used to that. Some of those competition horses were pretty moody, but who could blame them for it, since they are animals with feelings.
As I finished my work, I went out of the competition barn and walked over to the riding hall. The big door creaked as I opened it. Some of the girls were standing in the middle, watching a mare. Usually I stayed away from the new horses, but that pretty, rather small mare interested me.

Her name was Winter's Sun is Rising, or Soyala as I was told from the other girls. They said, too, that she seemed to be shy and nervous. I reached out my hand and Soyala started to sniff it. She came closer and allowed me to pet her neck and face.
"She was found in the forest, tied at a tree in the near of the lake. Do you wanna have her?"
"Of course, I'd love to care for her."
"Then she's all yours."
I remembered that conversation just too well. Soyala had her head in one of my jackets pockets, searching for a carrot. I grinned and got her out of there, giving her the treat out of my right hand, while petting her smooth and shiny coat.
