What is a Kiamara?
A Kiamara is a wolf-like creature. They have long, fluffy manes on the top of their heads, running down between their shoulders. They all have spots on their bodies- a trait in which will never be bred out of their DNA. They also have feathers- every Kiamara is given feathers when they reach the age of 2 years old. Their diet consists of fruit as well as meat- they prey on similar creatures that wolves would. Kiamara can be very shy before they get to know you. Can you win a Kiamara's heart?

Owners and Non-owners welcome to apply!

You can add any extras, but I am judging primarily on BACKSTORY
DO NOT FOCUS ON ART!!
You can add it, but it really plays no part in judging.

I like a pretty form layout<3
And it's a super plus if you make the name meaningful! <-- like this is crazy brownie points
Please be literate in your forms
Please know the difference between "they're there their" "your you're" "too to two"
^This is my pet peeve. It's okay if it's a typo, but if you consistently make this mistake there will be major point deductions.

Do not link me to theme songs/tell me to look things up
This is your chance to impress me, don't make me do work LOL
Don't include unnecessary things like crushes/quirks if it isn't a central part of who they are.
^In other words, explain everything well and make your character cohesive!

Do not quote this post

    Things you must include!

  • What's the Kiamara's name and gender?

Explain this well, make it connect to who they are and what makes them them.
.

This ends on Sunday June 9th!
Good luck!

ABOUT FONTMEME
Tempest Rain wrote:
It is happening everywhere and to everyone, not just you, no one can see fontmeme and the fontmeme in my form had not been able to be shown, but i'd just like you to know that on fontmeme there is a button that looks exactly like this: Image that allows you to download your fonts, but you have to re-upload them using tinypic or photobucket in order for it to stay the way it is ^^ if it is downloaded and re-uploaded the site itself will have no effect on the fonts

If you want you can tell other people that c: I just got tired of repeating myself so many times haha

or

~Raven wrote:I found out how to fix it!! There where it says "created.php?", you have to replace that with "wp-content/themes/meme/download.php?"

That's all ^^

I will not answer any further questions about this- if this explanation does not make sense to you, do not use fontmeme!

Hello, there! I'm tiedye7. You can call me tie, though.
What did you say your name was? Oh, that's right, Chocolate Sundae. Is it all right if I call you Sunny, dear?
Lie down, hon. That's a good girl. Now, I'm going to tell you a story. Any requests?

How about... a bakery? I've always wanted to be a baker...
Alright then. Let's see... ahh.
Now, hush and listen. I'm going to tell you a story.

    FAWN
    /fôn/
    Noun
A young deer in its first year.

name;;
    -Fawn
gender;;
    -feamale.

personality;;
-Fawn is very much like her name suggests- A fawn. She tends to mistrust everyone, being flighty and jumpy around strangers. Obviously, this makes her social life quite a bit smaller then the other kias. Friends she are close with, she tends to pull closer to her like she might loose them everyday; they aren't a want for her, they are a need. You could say that they keep her sane.
Also, adding to the fawn theory, she is very gentle. Soft fur, warm eyes, a smile that just makes your heart melt. She knows how to wrap adults arond her paw, that's for sure! Shyness overcomes this little girl at the strangest of moments, even talking with her family.

    Fawn?
    Yes?
    Why aren't you asleep?
    Oh, you know... bad dreams...
Come here. Let me tell you a little story...

Once upon a time, in a land they called Kianses, there was a tiny kia, just like you.
Just like me?
Yes, just like you. But she was a pale brown, with no feathers. Her name was Dia. She lived with her aunt and uncle, because she had no parents. She--
I thought that this was going to be a happy tale!
It is. Now shush.

Dia was a lonely kiamara. She had no friends, no one to talk to, and would invent people to talk to in her mind. Kias called her 'ditzy' and 'unfriendly', when really, she was just misunderstood. She had no feathers, which set her apart from the group. And then the storm came.

You said this was going to be a happy story! *hides under blanket*

The storm came. Dia's aunt and uncle had already left the area, knowing that there was going to be flooding, but unknowingly, they left poor Dia behind. She was hiding in the house when it came, closing her eyes, covering her eyes, until she was brave enough to open them.

And she never believed what she saw.

It was a world full of color, of bright green hues and blues. Of pinks and scarlets, of colors that she had never seen before. And then she saw the sign.

'Welcome to Zo'

"Zo?" she asked, looking around. She stood up and gasped. Turning around, the flowers weren't flowers, but kiamaras like herself! "Welcome to Zo, young Dia. I am Genivive, Princess of Zo." A beautiful pink kia stepped out of the bushes. She was pale, with gold dapples around her eyes and feet, and hair that tumbled down her shoulders. She was the most beautiful thing Dia had ever seen. "How do you know my name?" Dia stuttered out, and Genivive laughed. "Everyone knows you, for you have saved us! Look!" Dia turned around to see a monster being dragged away in chains. "That monster had taken our most prized possesion, our ruby feathers. As a gift, we bestow them upon you for saving us.

You know, I am starting to get the feeling that I've heard this story bef--

She held out a paw, showing Dia what she was holding. Three of the most beautiful feathers that Dia had ever seen glistened in her paw, and she gasped. "They're all mine?" "Yes." Genivive clipped one on her ear, the other two looped around her tail. "Thank you for saving us." she dipped her head. "Now what can we get you?" She asked, cocking her head.

Dia thought for a moment. "Can you send me home?" she was shocked by the silence that greeted her. Genivive cleared her throat. "That is not for me to choose. You must meet the Witch of Zo. She can send you back." she nodded. "It is a week and a day's journey from here if you set out now. Here is a map." she sighed. Dia nodded. "Are you sure she will be able to send me back home to my aunt and uncle?" Dia asked, frowning. Genivive nodded. "Go, and be strong, Princess Dia! Go to the Saphire city!"

...
?
...
And what happened then?
I guess that you'll have to wait until tomorrow to find out.
What?
Go to sleep. Don't let the bad dreams take you. Genivive will be with you.
I know. Goodnight.
Goodnight, Fawn.

Username
    SCULIAX
Name
    Idris
The name is of Welsh and Arabic origin, and the
meaning of Idris is "fiery leader; prophet".

      Why this name?
Idris, as a name, seems to hold infinite
meanings, more than just the one assigned. It
seems to have a story of its own to tell, one of
fire and ice, earth and sky, black and white, happy
and sad. The name hangs in the air a bit, lends a
dramatic pause, it is one of those rare names that
holds infinite potential to be. This is why I chose it for
this kia- she's seen a lot, and has her own stories of
fire and ice, earth and sky, black and white, happy and
sad to tell. This kiamara seems to come with a dramatic
pause of her own, and even though I see only one way
to go with this girl, her potential as a a character is
      infinite.
Gender
    Female
Age
    72
      Why this old?
PPS age, whether they like it or not, they just don't
grow up. I decided, hey, why not? Lets give it a shot.
It'll be interesting to see how PPS dears act and deal
with situations when they grow up. Also, I've had a
character who's old and young, wise and inexperienced
at the same time, and it fits her. Also, her eyes looked
aged compared to the rest of her, like she's seen more
      than most.
Simple Personality
    Stubbourn | Dramatic | Loyal

Idris is hard-headed and she'll stand her ground. Once
she has an opinion, she's not going to let it change
easily. She sticks with her ideals until the very end,
and has been known to challenge other's.

Idris is super theoretical. She's a fan of grand entrances
and big movements. She lends dramatic pauses and
histrionic music to herself and what's going on around.

Idris is also loyal, almost to a bad point. She'll stick to
a few people, or one group, and never leave their sides.
This means that she doesn't have that many friends,
and she's sensitive and intimidated easily.

Art
Bedtime Story
Once upon a time, in a land not too far away...
Well, nothing. It was a blank land, white as far as the eye can see, stretching to both horizons and back again. A white sun rises every day, and a white sun sets, giving way to a white moon and white stars. That's how it was, white and blank, for eternity.
    Image

Or, that's how it would have been. A miracle happened- and idea formed. An idea by itself is a miracle, but what happened to it next is something special. The idea came together, and formed a creature. A kiamara.
    Image

The little girl looked around, where was she? It was all white, as far as the eye could see. She sighed, and as her breath escaped her, it turned into something. It curled around, twisted and turned, until it formed a wooden stick with a tuft of fuzz at the end- a paintbrush.
    Image

She looked at it strangely, 'what is this odd object?' she wondered, and reached out to pick it up. Grasping the paintbrush, the little kiamara found herself bombarded with visions of colour. She gasped and looked at the paintbrush she held, she turned it over in her hands, a few times, and brushed the tip on her leg. Some colour splashed out, 'huh?' the little girl wondered, and brushed her leg some more. Soon enough, she found herself painting her body, yellows and oranges and purples leaked out of the brush, and onto the fur that covered her. Her face, legs, tail, mane, back, belly, paws, everything, was soon covered in paint. A splash of colour stood alone in the blank land.
    Image

The kiamara held the brush in her hand, satisfied with her paint job to herself. She looked up, at the empty sky and the blank sun and somehow, somehow, she reached up, and spread the gift of colour across the sky. The sun turned silver, and the sky turned green, and the ground turned blue. The little kiamara spread the brush upward, paint leaking out and floating in the sky. The liquid paint came together and solidified, creating a green trunk, covered in brown leaves. The process continued, with the little kiamara coloured the moon a shining gold, and the stars each as well, she labored over the delicate wing membranes of insects, and the soft petals of flowers.
    Image

And when she was done, and the insects flew happily, and kiamara's played in the fields, and a silver sun rose in a green sky and shone on the blue land below, the little kiamara closed her eyes on it, and opened them in another world, the real world.
    "Paint your dreams... Paint YOU."
Explanation
The moral of the story- your dreams are for you to command, you can make them, act on them, and pursue them however you want, they're yours and nobody can change that. The story conveys that message to Idris in a fun and friendly fashion, so that it's not really a chore to grasp this as a life lesson. Idris is Idris, and nobody else.
It's also to put Idris more at ease with the world- she's 72, and still a pup. That'll keep you up at night fretting, she can feel better about the world knowing that a little kia like her has painted one. The story sticks with her, makes her more accepting of the world, and more sociable in general.
Reaction
Paragraph 1;; Idris perks up a bit, eager to hear the story. She tries to imagine such a place, no colour or life, just blankness. She sits quietly, contemplating the world, trying to visualize it.
Paragraph 2;; At this point, Idris's eyes widen and she gasps- a kiamara, "Like me," she murmurs. She wonders what it'd be like to be born in such a boring world, and what it'd be like living there. She kind of... puts herself in the character's shoes here, integrating herself into the story.
Paragraph 3;; "What's she going to do with it?" Idris wonders, but she's completely taken by the idea that a simple breath in this blank land could create such an instrument of creativity. And painting on yourself like that?! It's the ultimate finger painting, come on! When don't children feel the urge to paint themselves whenever they can? Idris cracks a smile here, knowing what that is like.
Paragraph 4;; Continuing with the messy theme, painting an entire world? That's the peak in scribbling all over walls, except of course, the character in the story didn't get in trouble. The idea widens Idris's smile, and she relaxes into the story, relating to it now.
Paragraph 5;; By now Idris's head is swimming with images, and then... it's a dream? She sighs a bit as the story ends.
