What is a kiamara? A Kiamara is a wolf-like creature. They have long, fluffy manes on the top of their heads, running down between their shoulders. They all have spots on their bodies- a trait in which will never be bred out of their DNA. They also have feathers- every Kiamara is given feathers when they reach the age of 2 years old. Their diet consists of fruit as well as meat- they prey on similar creatures that wolves would. Kiamara can be very shy before they get to know you. Can you win a Kiamara's heart?
A kiamara based on a red merle border collie, thanks to the suggestions in my jm <3
Slightly referenced from
this~I know the design is quite complicated and messy, but you don't have to get everything exactly right if you're drawing this guy/gal in the future :B
To win this kia simply fill out this form~
- Code: Select all
Username:
Kia's name:
Gender:
Favorite place:
One extra:
The place can be anything, a whole country or just one specific place, tell me what it is and why it's this kia's favorite, I'm not a huge fan of sappy stories btw ¬¬ (300 words max).
You are also allowed 1 extra, if art it's unlimited and if writting there is also no limit on words, just keep everything reasonable! I like compact, short and sweet forms. In fact, long sob-stories or endless words really put me off and I skim the form ;u;
I'm just trying to leave this open to your imaginations as I don't like completely structured forms.
You may pretty up your forms, just keep gifs and google images to a minimum.
End date: June 15th.

the country… The country is special to me. Words cannot describe how I feel when the mist washes over the fields in the early morning and I can run and dance through it as it encases me. Now, there’s a lot of country out there. Not enough in my opinion, but I’m supposing you wonder where exactly I’m describing. A sheep field in Ireland, more specifically. Why sheep? Why Ireland? Both are calm and comforting. I grew up with sheep, and I lived in Ireland for the longest time. My father taught me how to herd at a young age, and all the sheep respect me as I do them. Admitted, I wasn’t too fond of the sheep at a young age. They would flaunt around aimlessly when I tried to corral them. My father helped me, teaching me
“the stare,” to get them to respect and listen to me. Ever since then, they’ve treated me as an equal or above. We were a family, in my eyes. At times in my teenage years when life was harder, they’d always listen. Thus, all sheep remind me of them, and are comforting. Sheep in Ireland reminds me of my father, for the most part. He used to take me to Ireland every summer, and whenever I’m there, I’m reminded of him. His heart and soul are with me the most there… maybe because we buried him there? Not sure. I almost feel like he’s hanging in the mist. I love it. It’s my home, my comfort, and my soul. My life is in Ireland.

Music wrote:Did you notice how the title of this section is related to music? I did that purposely. It leads us to my first on the list of favorites. Music. I love the way it lilts through the air and makes you want to dance. Either that or it makes you want to get something accomplished. Both are positive effects of music in my opinion. Any day, no matter the weather or my mood, there’s always a song for me.
Ribbons wrote:Another thing I’m quite fond of is all my ribbons. Competitions are common in the world of herding. I happen to be… rather good at winning, and I rack up many firsts. Those sheep are no match for my skills!
Sheep wrote:I enjoy my sheep, though that was probably obvious. I’m quite attached to my little flock… they all have names. Not that I want to list them all off, mind you. As a good farmer, I have quite a large flock. My favorite, though, is Miller. He is my prized Hampshire ram- I appreciate his help in keeping the flock together on tough mornings.
Mythology wrote:Irish mythology is widespread and interesting. I’m sure you’ve heard of leprechauns and shamrocks… those came from Ireland. Obviously. Who else would create such interesting tales? I used to spend every St. Patrick’s day searching for those leprechauns and their gold. As well as doing that, I used to (and still) look for shamrocks, or four-leaf clovers, to grant me luck every time I’m in a field. We also have faeries… though I don’t search for those… they’re too dangerous.
Dogs wrote:I like dogs… not just because I look like one, but because they’re so noble and loyal. I respect dogs, and they respect me. We had a sheepdog once- she and I made a good team. I was sad for a while when she passed, but I believe she’s watching over me in the mist as well.
Mornings wrote:My favorite time of day would have to be the mornings. It’s usually crisp where I live, and I can watch the mist rise off the fields as the sun comes up. I can usually see my sheep get up and wander off towards the cliffs. It’s very peaceful.
Mist wrote:Mist. Well, in my opinion, I feel like mist carries the souls of those who wish to watch over you. I see it as a link between our world and wherever someone goes when they die… almost like a one-way mirror. They can watch you, but you can’t see them.. you can just feel their presence at times

✪Kia's name:Austin
, but the name he lost was Hazard.✪Gender:Male ♂

Hazard was switched at birth. It was an honest mistake, he was told when he was an adult.
His adoptive mother, Anna, a red merel border collie, took him in when he replaced her missing son Austin who, they guessed, took Hazard's place as a kiamara (hopefully, might I add). In the morning when Anna found Hazard instead of her real son, it was too late. His true parents were gone, along with Austin.
Because Anna and his real mother looked alike, he instantly believed she was his real mother. Hazard took on the name of the missing son and was raised as a normal border collie alongside his 5 siblings who also never knew about his "kia heritage" until adulthood, Anna, Andy, Ace, Azalea, and Arin.
His parents had supposedly made a den on the edge of farm property, dangerously close to a cliff, Anna had told him. When he went to go examine the poorly made shack, his memories stayed hidden to him, but he could feel the remembrance of living here deep within in his mind. He found traces of sheep wool from the farm in the time-decayed nests and a small blue feather that didn't match to any bird he knew of.
It was then he decided that this place was the start of it all, the place that would help him most on his long journey he would take.
This was Austin's most important place.
After he discovered this, he set out to find out what he really was, who his parents were and where they were located, and where the true Austin was as well.
A small picture of his "family".
Austin is obviously very fond of his mother and siblings, and still feels the same way even after he found out they weren't related. He becomes homesick a little to often, and this picture is the only thing he has left of them until he can come back from his journey. He often times falls asleep while he looks at it and ends up hugging it in his sleep.A compass and many different maps!
This Kiamara right here is awful with directions. Absolutely terrible.
You'll usually see him with about three sets of maps (2 will probably be upside down!) scratching his head in confusion. If he asks for directions, be sure to make them as simple as possible. He'd hate to ask a second time considering it must of took him much pride to ask.
Another reason he keeps so many maps is that he marks down each location he has been to. The green dots are where he has been, and the red ones are places where he wants to head to next.Trail mix.
I know what you think about when you hear trail mix. Rains, MnMs, chocolate chips, granola, and bran, right?
Austin loves all of that, but any sane kimara wouldn't be able to sustain a good functioning body if that was his regular diet.
He usually packs chopped vegetables, sunflower seeds, and dried fruit cubes into them. Other times when he visits new places and buys goods, he'll throw whatever he gets there into a trail mix bag.
Austin is always on the go, so he rarely has time to sit down and eat. These bags of his help him hold over for a good long while until
Camera
Overly attached is something this kia is known for. Sadly, this happens everywhere he goes. He ends up meeting new friends and helping others out so often that he becomes torn when he needs to part. He always asks if he can get a picture of them so that he can remember them while he's on his journey. Right now, he has a total of 823 photos in his backpack, and he remembers the name of every single one.His feathers.
Austin is new to the world of kiamaras, and he doesn't know a thing about them. He doesn't understand the customs or traditions of them, nor has he been able to find out too much. He often tries to wear these feathers after his first meet with another kiamara. She explained to him the importance of the feathers they wear, but Austin isn't exactly fond of wearing his. He has never really been one for accessories, so he keeps them in a secure pocket in his pack.
Little does he know that those feathers are his real father's.Here are some other things he takes with him without the explanations:
Things to take: wrote:- Books on languages
- Guides on land, food, water sources, etc.
- Rope and duct-tape.
(You can never have too much!)
- Water container
- Camping kit
- First Aid
- Tiny souvenirs

Things never to take: wrote:- Sweets/Sugar
- Bug-spray
- Non-fiction books
- Anything too heavy
- Technology
- Thick blankets
- GLASS

❤Username:Hello ^^ My screen name is Hyena. but you can call me what ever you like <3Kia's name:"Hey there! My name is chip! Though uh, allot of Kia's call me Little bit. A couple other nick names however are cow, or brown cow or Naussie." Gender:
"I'm male."
Favorite place:
"I have a nice cozy cave behind a waterfall, The soft pitter, patter of the water on the walls of the cave is very southing, even though it can be loud at times. I like to go there to calm down, and escape pressure. "
Quirks:
1.
Chip is shorter and smaller then most Kiamara's and was the runt of his litter. This is where he got his nick name "Little bit" He's very shy and doesn't really like to be around other Kiamara's because he doesn't fit in.
2.
Chip is very fidgety, he can't really help it. Every time he gets nervous he blacks out and can't remember anything from the experience. When he's nervous but not that bad, he fidgets with his 2 small feathers on his tail.
3.
Chip cannot resist Bubbles, when he sees one he cannot help but chase after it to try and bite it. He seems to get mesmerized with them and really can't help but get them until they pop. He finds them to be "Him" since his pattern looks, to him, like allot of brown bubbles.
4.
He often see's things that he calls "Visions" but really its just his left brain working to hard XD Chip has some what of a photographic memory and an over active imagination.
5.
He has a little bell that he either wares around his neck, paw, or behind his ear in order to "Never lose himself" I suppose the little jingle helps his snap back to reality since he often stares of into space.
Dream Kia right here O.O

Hello, my username is Kay. I would name this Kia Delilah. She would be a female kiamara. Her favorite place is Europe, as she was born there, and loves all the beautiful sights. My extra is a poem.
Slow sunrise,
glowing moon.
The sights you see today
won't be the same tomorrow.
every second it vanishes
but nobody bothers to care
No sun,
huge moon.
say goodbye to your precious ones
you life is gone
