Who am I? Jadeghost; mostly referred to as Jade.
What is the dragon's name? This handsome boy will be known as Ryoma. In the Japanese language, it is the combination of two words: "Ryu" meaning dragon, and "Ma" meaning horse. The literal translation is dragon horse, and it is pronounced "Ree-YO-ma." Nicknames include "Ryo" or simply "Ry".
How old is the dragon? Ryoma is in the "teen" years for a WTE; only around 5 years old, and has plenty of life to live!
Drako or Dragoness? Ryoma is 100% stallion, and will not hesitate to prove it.

How to you carry yourself, noble dragon?
Ryoma is not a horse that can be described in a few words. His personality is something that has shaped and defined him ever since he was a young colt, still unsteady on his legs. Back then, he remained quite innocent and rather blind to all the world had to offer. His mother was protective of her only son; given that Ryoma was her first colt to survive past its first year. His mother practically forced her son to remain by her side much longer than he should have; consequently, Ryoma was quite unprepared when he tumbled headfirst into the real world.
While his mother raised him to be kind, honest, and caring, Ryoma turned his back on these qualities for quite a long time; since he felt that his mother did not prepare him enough for the hardships he had to face all on his own. While he has these qualities buried deep within him, he does not usually allow them to resurface. While he is honest, he tends to be brutally so, and is not afraid to speak the truth even if it hurts. Most of his outbursts are quite unintentional though, and Ryoma usually quickly regrets his actions. Still, he cannot stop himself, nor can he change who he was raised to be. In this way he has many sides of him; it just depends on the day you catch him.

How tall is the dragon? 16hh
What genes do you carry?Bay base: Dun= Aa, Cream= Aa, Tobiano= AA, brindle= aa

I'm not sure if it counts, but if coloring in a lineart counts as artistic skill then I'll take what I can get XD Believe me, I tried my hardest to draw my own version of him, but I am no artist, and equines are especially hard for me. But writing is one of my true passions, as I hope you will be able to tell from his story, which is below♥ Enjoy!

тнє ᴅяαgoи ιѕ яєαᴅу...

Hooves beat the ground in the pounding rhythm of a terrified heart; almost sounding louder than the thunder that boomed above them. The rain fell mercilessly and poured over them in steady waves. Lightning flashed at the same moment as a deafening thunderclap, which proved that the storm was upon them. The bolt illuminated their terrified eyes and only sent the herd into more of a frenzy; still, they remained together as one single unit. Even in their terror, they knew that to split would only mean the death of them.

Another flash; and even though he had done nothing to stand out on his own, the light illuminated the coat of a single golden coat. Compared to the rest of his herd, he stood out like a single golden coin in a sea of brown. The fear stricken colt could do nothing more than press himself harder and harder to his mother's side, but this was proving difficult as the storm only began to worsen. The older mare was having a hard time keeping up; not only because of her age, but because of the colt that hindered her. He was nearing the age where her should be learning to fend for himself, but she refused to let him. No, Ryoma still needed her guidance. That was what she told herself despite what she knew in her heart: that her baby did not need her anymore.

Lightning struck the plain just ahead of them; nearly hitting the lead stallion. And then the herd scattered; no longer bothering to listen to the orders of their leader as their survival instincts began to kick in. They picked up on his panic and could stand to remain together no longer. The presence that had once comforted them had now become a poison. Ryoma's mother let out a startled whinny as she no longer felt the comforting presence of her colt by her side; he was more of a reassurance to her than she was to him, even though he would surpass her in size all too soon.

The colt struggled to his feet after being forced to the ground and trampled by another large equid; finally, he struggled to his feet. He could see his mother up ahead, but something held him back from her. His heart hardened as he stared at the mare that had been his only friend up until this point; but through no fault of his own. It was her who had held him back for nearly two long years.

Ryoma stood at the very peak of the hill; his golden coat illuminated by the lightning that continued to flash all around them. His normally impressive feathery tail was now drenched and the hair was forced to lay flat: his long, powerful legs were streaked with mud. Yet somehow, he looked the farthest thing from weak. His horns, which had fully formed about a month ago, were sharp and ready to defend himself if need be. His heart, which had been fluttering in panic just a moment before, had suddenly become calm and steady. His eyes stared straight ahead in determination, and he pawed the angry earth with one of his strong legs.

The dragon was ready. A whole world was waiting for him. As his mother continued to scream her sorrow to whoever would listen, the young colt disappeared into the dark forest; never looking back, and ready to tell his own story.

Why does Jade want this dragon?
Ryoma is just...perfect in every way. From his dun coloration (which is my favorite base color on horses), to the faint stripes on his legs, to his dark green eyes, to the splash of white on his main body, he has to be my favorite design of this species to date. Your dragon series is lovely Midnight, and I already have the honor of owning one of those stallions but I would love to own another. He is amazing and I know whoever gets him in the end will spoil him to pieces; I surely will!♥

Congrats :)

His name is Aduro, it is one of the Latin words for fire, flame, light, singe, or burning

Aduro is a brave, honest, and kind Whip Tail. He is very chivalrous and few would dare to accuse him of anything because of his manners and sweetness. He is very bold and fights only when he has too and speaks with intelligence despite his young age, making the mares fall for him with ease. But there is always two sides to each coin. He isn't always as innocent as he seems, and can be wild, rambunctious, and slightly foolhardy. He constantly looks for fun, especially when no one is looking at him and always tries to prove his point all the way through, and isn't afraid of a fight. The few that found this out would say Aduro is a mystery, changing from one side to another constantly, like a flipping coin, no one really knows which side he would flip to next. He changes unintentionally, like he has two different minds.

I'm sick of all the insincere.
So, I'm gonna give all my secrets away.
Username: Tigermay
WTE name: Chetanzi
WTE name meaning and origin: Chetanzi is a Sioux name meaning 'yellow hawk'. He was named this due to his golden coloration and his paint patch that is shaped like a dragon, or just a winged creature.
Show me how to lie, you’re getting better all the time,
And turning all against one is an art that's hard to teach.

WTE age: 4 years
WTE gender: Stallion
WTE personality:
Innocently ignorant
This boy is still growing up. At four years, he's starting to drift out into the world. However, he has never been too terribly curious, and that is more of a problem than it appears to be. His parents let him learn almost everything on his own, whether it would be the fact that plants are edible or that he was going to grow horns. This makes him incredibly naïve in some areas where there are alarming gaps in his self-administered eduction.

Making 'unintentional' work.
Due to the above reasons, Chetanzi seems to be constantly blundering into situations he does not intend to be in. While they usually are not too awkward due to his honesty and kindness, there are some which just put him between a rock and hard place. His youthful mind often wanders, and this leads to his speech wandering in the conversation as well. For example, you may be talking about flowers with him when he will suddenly mention another WTE he saw with a detailed marking. This would be because his train of thought would go from flowers to how they are so delicate, and from there to how delicate and detailed seem to go together, and then to the WTE with the detailed(and probably interesting) marking. This habit of his often sends conversations racing down channels they otherwise would have never gone down, and all without him specifically intending to.

Honesty is the best policy.
Despite being young and relatively inexperienced, Chetanzi has a strict honor code which he follows with blind loyalty. He is constantly picking apart right from wrong, despite how little of either he has seen so far. It is through his code he sees no reason to lie. From what he has heard and seen, lying has never brought anything positive. It might put a bandage on something and it will seem fine, but soon enough the bandage falls off and the wound is still there. Since he binds himself to his rules so tightly, he has been known to go to the verge of being brutally honest. However, his kindness usually draws him back and he does his best to word difficult truths in the best way he can think of.

Kindness is a virtue.
His kindness comes from many different sources, like a river. His outpouring of goodness is fed by its 'tributaries', his natural tendencies to be nice to others, his honor code, and the debt he feels towards Calica. He is almost always willing to give his time to others for whatever they may need it for. His time is all he can really offer to others due to him being young. He'll spend time listening to you, traveling with you, playing with you, and he tends to preform little acts of kindness on his own without prompting. Chetanzi is beginning to learn that sometimes this kindness costs him, though he does nothing to earn these penalties. He'll get stuck with things others don't want to do, but will always try and make the best of the situations, laboring on quietly and politely as he recalls back to his debt.

Two sides of the same coin.
We know him to be innocent, ignorant, honest and kind, and he is all of these things. But Chetanzi is not as positive towards himself. Internally he is plagued with doubt and darker thoughts, and he is constantly questioning himself and his actions. This is why he clings to his rules, he holds them close and desperately hopes that they will get him through difficult situations. Another thing he tries to keep in his mind most of the time is the kindness that is possible. However, what he really needs every once in a while is someone to tell him what great WTE he is. This nagging doubt, this empty space that sucks away positive thoughts, needs to be disproved and destroyed by the words of others. The only problem with that is that he can then appear to be nothing more than a shallow, attention seeking WTE. In reality, all he is trying to do is prove to himself that he is a good WTE and that his life matters.
Oh, got no reason, got no shame,
Got no family I can blame.

WTE height: 16hh
Creative piece(Story): The day had slipped into night uneventfully, the stars were starting to shine out in a clear sky as the last pink touches of dusk receded. A small herd and stamped out a clearing in the thickness of the jungle's flora, and most of the members were laying down to sleep. All but one. Chetanzi's older half brother was guarding them. But the quick minded yearling knew his brother would likely fall asleep as he was one of the laziest of Chetanzi's siblings. The colt slid onto his feet with quiet ease, ears pricked towards his brother. Gentle grumbling snores could sometimes be heard from the other whip-tail, and this blended with the distant rumbling of thunder. Chetanzi was far too focused on escaping to notice that the midnight sky had clouded over to the north of his herd and that there was a section of sky without stars.

The yearling slipped away into the jungle, weaving his way aimlessly. He never intended to go very far, he just wanted out of the tight little clump of sleeping whip-tails. Thunder rolled again in the distance, its barely audible drumbeat was a warning to the golden colt. He did not heed nor hear the warning and continued on. His hooves fell to following a small, rough trail that had been made by many other animals. His green eyes were not focused on the things surrounding him as he thought about his current lifestyle. He was so absorbed in this pondering that he nearly careened over a steep bank. Chetanzi's eyes were now wide open in surprise as he swayed on the edge of the mud covered rock bank. Below him was a swirling brown creek, and it was rising quickly due to the storm further upstream. He tottered on the edge a moment more before his footing was lost. He skidded down the bank squealing and his long tail pluming out behind him.

Suddenly there was something biting at his tail and a shot of fear ran down his spine. But he had no time to react as Chetanzi hit the water. Whatever had grabbed his tail had not been able to stop his fall. He struggled to keep his head above water due to the current and his small size. Normally he'd be fine in this creek, but its flash flooding took things to a different level. His head ducked under again before he was slammed into something solid. Still in the water, but feeling like he wasn't going to drown, he lost consciousness.

The golden colt was awoken by a gentle prod or two, and as he blinked his dark green eyes open, he found himself staring at a whip-tail he didn't know. "It's okay. You made it. Come on, let's get you out of the mud." She said with equal the amount of gentleness she had nudged him with. The creek had already gone down and it was daylight now, the golden rays were glinting into his eyes. He got up from where he had been laying on what was now solid, but muddy, ground. The thing that had caught him in the flood was nowhere to be seen.
She helped him clamber up the banks and took him into the jungle just a bit. "Hold on," she said, touching his shoulder with her muzzle. "You're hurt, you can't travel like this." Chetanzi protested, but one of his ribs shot pain through out his body, which made him instead glumly nod. She had him lay down in a clearing not unlike the one his herd had made. His herd. Were they worried about him yet?

To take his mind off things, the female whip-tail told Chetanzi about herself as she darted around. As she spoke and revealed her name and age, Calica and three, as she complied a few leaves in front of him. She finally stopped coming and going and once again addressed his wound. "I think you hurt your ribs when you slammed into me last night. Oh, and did I get your tail too bad?" She asked, going over to check on his tail. Chetanzi was too focused on being shocked to find out that not only had she saved his life, but Calica was now tending to him.

The mosaic three year old revealed the leaves were herbs that would dull his pain if he ate them. Chetanzi grudgingly did so and after about an hour he was feeling a bit better. "You'll be able to travel now. The plants will really kick in after a bit more time, but I'm sure your parents are worried." Calica then probed him for information about his herd and, once she had enough, she led him back into the jungle. The colt was quiet for most of this time, the herbs making him feel a bit sleepy. With him out of it, Calica guided him back to the clearing he had come from, where his mother and half sister were pacing. As the two fawned over his return, Calica silently slipped away without being thanked.

The name is baaer. Though you can call me baaer or Croe.
Image
My name is Natanael. The name has been passed town from my family from generations. This time my mother had the honour of naming me.
Image
I am 4 years young, though I still have much to learn.
Image
I am an older colt. Though I will become a stallion when I am older.
Image
I normally have two sides to me. As the expression goes, "2 sides to every coin." I am a bit shy when it comes to the other colts. They often pick on me and call me names. The call me "Innocent Natanael". I am a bit soft, and usually I cower in fear and ponder. They usually call me naive and gulliable because I fall for everything. I try to be kind to these colts. I never call them anything bad, still they do it. The other side to me is curious and a tad rebellious. I like to go off and wander around and look for lost things. They are the random things I find on the ground. I also stay out a bit after my curfew. I do get scolded for my behavior. This hurts for a bit, but then, I get over it. My mother says that I am too honest about what time I come home. She says that it is good to be very honest, though it could get me in trouble. Though, I haven't the slightest idea how.

The Golden Drake. {Whip Tail Equine #191}

Postby SpartanAmethyst » Sun May 26, 2013 2:09 pm

{So this is what you meant
When you said that
you were spent.
And now it's time to build
from the bottom of the pit
right to the top;
Don't hold back.
Packing my bags and giving
the academy a rain check.

I don't ever wanna let you down,
I don't ever wanna leave this town.
'Cause after all;
This city never sleeps at night.

It's time to begin, isn't it?
I get a little bit bigger,
but then I'll admit
I'm just the same as I was.
Now don't you understand,
that I'm never changing who I am.

So this is where you fell,
And I am left to sell.
The path to heaven runs through
miles of clouded hell
right to the top;
Don't hold back.
Turning the rags and giving
the commodities a rain check.

I don't ever wanna let you down,
I don't ever wanna leave this town.
'Cause after all;
This city never sleeps at night.

It's time to begin, isn't it?
I get a little bit bigger,
but then I'll admit
I'm just the same as I was.
Now don't you understand,
that I'm never changing who I am.

It's time to begin, isn't it?
I get a little bit bigger,
but then I'll admit
I'm just the same as I was.
Now don't you understand,
that I'm never changing who I am.

This road never looked so lonely;
This house doesn't burn down slowly
To ashes, to ashes.

It's time to begin, isn't it?
I get a little bit bigger,
but then I'll admit
I'm just the same as I was.
Now don't you understand,
that I'm never changing who I am.

It's time to begin, isn't it?

Araen
A male Elvish name, comprised of two parts.
The first is "Ar-", meaning "gold" or "golden".
The second is "-aen", meaning "rider".
So his name translates to "golden rider".
I wanted a name that meant "storm rider",
but there was no Elvish prefix that
translated to "storm" or even "lightning".
