Her Relation to Horus :

Horus is Egyptian god of the sky, war, and hunting. Ibis, is the sacred bird of Thoth.

Ibis had always watched Horus from a distance as young Shionnix's, and as they grew older and older she gained the strength to speak with him. As they spoke, it became apparent to her that they were two birds of a feather. Not long after, the two of them were closer to each other then what could seem almost possible.

They are the best of friends, and though they are so different they still manage to stay together.

Her Relation to Horus:
: Tehu had always been...different. She had always been smaller than the other Shionnix, and had never had as much stamina to play games as a hatchling. When other Shionnix her age were beginning to learn to fly, she was still on the ground, wings not much more than feathery stubs, watching them whirl cheerfully in the air. Oh, she tried to keep up with them. They were just so much stronger than she was. When they began to grow much larger than her- Tehu was still growing, just not as quickly as them - she began to get injured when playing with her friends, slowing the development of her wings even further due to the amounts of feathers lost.
Horus had always seemed so intimidating, with a much more courageous personality. He would be the one to go first in any event, while Tehu would always find herself on the sidelines, injured or simply too shy to join in the fun. At least her wings could grow now, and within time she had grown to an average size, though Horus was still much larger than her. Tehu found herself idolizing him, looking up to him as a sort of hero that she could never hope to be even remotely similar to.
Once her feathers had completely grown in, a full year after other Shionnix her age, Tehu began to make her first attempts to fly. It looked strange, someone of her age clumsily trying to take wing amongst the hatchlings, and it was only a matter of time before the inevitable happened. As she fell out of the sky and crumpled to the ground on one of her innumerable tries to fly, some inquisitive hatchlings began making comments to each other about how it was so strange, she must be deformed to not be able to fly properly. They weren't being mean on purpose, and their words had not been intended for Tehu to hear, but their conversation reached her ears, and she scrambled as fast as she could away from them, feeling that familiar desolate, hopeless emotion beginning to well up in her chest again. She would never be able to fly! Never. Tehu gave a cry of frustration, dropping her head against the ground in a grieving resignation to her future.
It was not over yet, though. Horus, the one Shionnix that Tehu had thought would never talk to her, approached her cautiously, and asked if she needed help learning to fly. Tehu was suspicious at first, thinking that he would also humiliate her, maybe by taking her over a part where there were no islands to stop her fall. She spread her wings cautiously, perched on the edge of the island, as Horus reassured her several times that he would save her if she fell again. He pushed off the ground effortlessly, displaying his wings and beating them slowly, to show how she ought to do it.
Tehu nodded, and, heart beating so loud that she could hear it echoing in her ears, she pushed off of the island, spreading her wings. She flew up, and then she began to fall. Again. To her sheer terror, Horus wasn't below her to catch her, but instead flying by her side, dropping through the air and falling with her. He calmly instructed her to move her wings downwards, displaying once again his flawless skill in flying. Tehu was falling fast. It was either try what Horus said, or face possible death. Breathing hard, she raised her wings again, and, straining against the force of the wind, she beat her wings down, propelling herself a few meters up in the air. Horus instructed her to do so again, and again, and Tehu complied, finally beginning to move her wings in a proper fashion. With each stroke, she went higher in the air, until they reached the island again.
"See?" Horus said with a trace of pride in his voice, "You can fly. Never believe that you can't."
Each day, they returned to continue her flying instruction, until she was able to soar and glide like the other Shionnix, and join them in the sky. Over time, Horus and her developed a strong bond of friendship. Though looking up to him was something that Tehu never ceased to do, she looked up to him as a brother and a friend instead of a distant idol. He was always there to encourage her, to be the wind at her back when she needed it. :
