Short Story:Meeting Mysterious Leopard is a story that I will never forget. I was on a bike ride and I just turned on to a dirt road when I saw a blur of a beautiful creature standing in front of me I didn't want to hit it so I swerved into the ditch. When I lifted my head out of the dirt there it was looking over me. All I was thinking was I can't believe that just happened. I knew my parents wouldn't let me keep a horse. We aren't prepared and my parents don't have the same love for animals as I do. So I asked my best friend Mary if she could keep Mysterious Leopard at her grandmas ranch. Which worked perfect our families knew each other pretty well and Mysterious Leopard had two other mares to be he friend. My parents were supportive and I visited mysterious Leopard three times a week when Mary went to her grandmas house.

The wind blew, whining and bringing natural sounds with it. Unnatural. The horse, her pale honey colored coat gleaming softly in the light of dusk, jerked her head up, flaring her nostrils. She smelled metal. Cloth. Smoke. And something foreign.

Danger.

Flattening her ears, the horse trembled, torn between running for her life and staying out of curiosity. Oh, if only she didn't trip over the stupid foals--all too dumb to get out her way. Then she wouldn't be exiled. Another sound, high-pitched but melodious, reached her ears.

A creature, on two spindly legs and draped in cloth, stared at her. She stared back, challenging. Slowly the creature stepped forward.

Danger. Danger!

The horse glared, rolling her eyes. Then she lashed out.

A wild horse hath not stole
The heart and soul of a boy,
She stole his life and mind.
Galaxy she was calleth after
For the mystery she brings.
