What is a Jellybean Dragon?
A Jellybean Dragon is a fluffy, friendly dragon that hatches from a jellybean-like egg. Their diet consists of fruits and insects, but they also love sweets and desserts. Their fur is soft and long, usually brightly colored, neat, and shiny. Jellybean Dragons are mostly gentle and happy, and love attention. Most are Great Dane-sized when they are fully grown, but some of them can grow as big as a cow. All Jellybean Dragons have pouches on their bellies, which they use to carry around food or younger JBDs.

Name: Blue Morpho. Yes I know that that is the name of a butterfly, but I don't care. I like that name. A beautiful name to go with a beautiful JBD<3

Personality:

Blue Morpho is shy. She usually goes off on her own and rathers it. She has never been popular and never cares. Even though she isn't popular, she is admired by many boys because of her beautiful colours and shining eyes. Generally she is very kind and has never be known to get into fights. Blue often spends time doing art since she has a really good talent for art. Teachers love her since she is so intellegent and doesn't talk all the time! Her life can be confusing though, and she finds it hard to stay sweet and kind and quiet ever since she was orphaned. Nobody knows though, luckily. Because one thing that Blue Morpho won't stand for is if anyone says anything bad about her parents.

Short story: (250 words min. - 350 words max.)

A cold winter breeze blew across the fields and whispered through the tree's of the forest where she lay. Blue Morpho sat amoungst the ferns of her den. It was cold and empty. She had just witnessed the horrifying event that would change her life forever. The blue markings on her coat shimmered in the darkness of the small hole in the ground. The tiny child lay awake, her eyes wide with fear... Where would she go? Where could she go.

The next morning, the sun seeped through the soft leavy fabric and warmly settled on Blue's flank. Her eye's fluttered open, like a butterfly's wings being hit with a dew drop. She pulled her paw to her face. The scar was still there. So it wasn't a dream. It lay fresh like a wound from battle, just as last night lay in her mind. Slowly, she rose to her feet and crept out of the den with her ears pulled down. She still obeyed her parents orders, even though they would be gone for a while. Blue stopped at the entrance to look left and right, checking for danger. When she noticed that nothing was there, she jumped out of her den. Snow sprayed the ground and animals were just beggining to rise. Suddenly, there was a noise coming from the corner of Blue Morpho's eyes. The thing moved quickly, and so sudden it triggered Blue to scurry back to her den with her ears flat against her head and her eyes wide like rain drops. A tiny rabbit hopped to the entrance of her den, sniffing it.
Blue let out a sigh of relief and scrambled back out of the den. Her pattern sparkled beautifully in the sunlights warmth.

I chose Valtameri for her name. Valtameri means ocean in Finnish, I deal it fits her because of her very beautiful blues and green. Her colors reminds me of the ocean and the beautiful creatures you see with in it. I felt that Valtameri was a very pretty name. I think the JBD deserves and gorgeouse name like Valtameri. I feel the name is very fitting and pretty enough to be this gorgeouse bean's name.

Valtameri, or Meri for short is a very sweet girl and always gearing up for and adventure. She's not easy to get along with as she's often out on various travels, backpack strapped on tightly and her wonderful little insect companion by her side. She loves exploring the world and never misses the chance to take off on an adventure of nearly any variety, she's also a bit of a tinker. She loves messing with various bobbles, trinkets, and gadgets, mixing and matching parts to make new and rather quirky things. Even her backpack was a contraption of her own design, the dragonfly wings do provide a strangely entertaining flapping motion that helps accentuate her colors. The goggles she made help augment her eyesight, like binoculars or flight goggles. She's always positive and upbeat, full of life and enough vigor to power a small city and she dreams big. She want to explore every inch of this world and take notes of everyting within it, learning how things work and how certain mechanics in the world mesh together in such intricate fashions, but, at her core, she's a curious girl who's always ready to show off what she can do!!

-Short Story-
It'd been a brisk morning as Valtameri awoke from her slumber, her fur coated with fresh droplets of dew as the sunlight began to warm her up. She slowly opened her eyes, letting them adjust to the bright sun around her before standing and giving a long stretch, "Morning Prismo!" She sat and called out, a small dragonfly began to race towards her, a small sound resonating from it's wings in an almost jubilant manner. Valtameri stood slowly again, slipping her backpack and goggles on as she started to walk, "We're about three days in, right? That means we should be just about..." And before she could finish, she looked up. There in front of her was what she'd been searching for, a large structure that'd been worn down throughout the eons, leaving nothing but a few crumbling walls and a staircase that lead down. It lead so far down that she couldn't even see the bottom, She looked over at her dragonfly partner, "Well...here goes nothing." She smiled before making her decent into the darkness. She began to lose count of how many steps she'd already climbed down, and how long she'd been descending...but after what felt like an eternity she noticed a torch. As she drew nearer, the light began to get brighter and covered a small radius, about the size of a campfire. Meri stepped closer, taking the time to sit in the small spot of light, not really caring about how the torch was lit, nor how long ago it was lit. All that mattered was she had a spot to sit and rest her legs for a bit, and without any other sources of light there was no way to tell time down here either. Her stomach rumbled a bit, "Oh crud..." she pouted some, rummaging through her pouch and pulling out a few scraps from the meal before, "It's not much, but...here Prismo. We can share!" the dragonfly buzzed happily and landed on one of the many berries soon removed from Meri's pouch and began to munch happily, their story had only just begun.

-Companion-

Meri met this little dragonfly on one of her many expeditions, this particular one taking her deep into a swampland that'd rarely been spoken of except in varying legends and folklore among the many cultures spanning the globe. She'd just finished setting up her small camp and had begun to make notes of her surroundings and the star positions for the just in case when she noticed something shimmering a few yards off. As she drew closer she noticed it was an insect of the most unusual colors. It was a brilliant pink that looked almost purple in the moonlight reflecting off the water's surface that it skipped across. The ripples left in it's wake reaching all the way to Meri's feet. She was instantly fascinated by this small creature and spent the better of the next week tracking it's location and studying it's habits, that's when she decided to befriend it. Over the next few months, she was shocked that this dragonfly's lifespan seemed far superior to others in it's species and she had befriended it rather easily. She soon gave it a name, "Prismo" after it's uniquely distinctive color patterns and made sure to take the best care of it she could, always having it's favorite fruits on hand.

-Equipment-

Meri's backpack - Custom engineered herself with the inspiration from her friend, Prismo. While the wings are functional and do flap, due to the size and structure flight is impossible using this pack. This was one of the first things that Meri invented to further her study of dragonflies and all around fashion.


Meri's Goggles - These goggles are made to appear as though they're made from Compact lenses like a dragonfly's eyes. They act as binoculars and can adjust the zoom level by rotating the lenses themselves, letting Meri see up to 100 yards away with crystal clarity and all thanks to the many refractive lenses built to enhance the amount of light exposure to increase the levels of light allowed into the lenses which in turn helps bring a much clearer view than with normal binoculars.

"Hi there! My name is Valtameri! Raven Feather wants me to tell you a bit about myself! Let me tell you about my favorites! My favorite color is royal blue or pink! I also love the color purple! My favorite animal is a Tree Kangaroo. They are so bouncy and cute! They look like they would be soft and cuddly! I have a Tree Kangaroo plushie! Her name is Glomp. Yup Glomp! She stays in my pouch till it's time to sleep. My favorite food is blueberries! They are like a small blue ball of electricity, Bitter but with a sweet taste that leaves your tongue tingly! I love flowers! But my Favorite flower would have to be a Stargazer lily. I love their purplish pink and white colors and the things that come out of the center art fun to pluck of and draw with! The pollen leaves pretty orange marks. My favorite number is 41. I dont know why. I have a favorite plant too! Its a venus fly trap! I like to watch them lure their prey in and quickly chomp it! My favorite place i have ever traveled to would have to be have to be Tibet! I love the ruins! I find it really cool that some of the structure seem to be carved directly out of the mountains! I love to run through Sunflower fields! I like how tall they are and the way they smell. I love the shade they provide in the summer. I like to swim too! Especially in rivers. I like the way the current feels through my fur! My favorite type of ice cream is Strawberry. my favorite book would have to be Watership Down by Richard Adams! It's an amazing book! I keep a copy in my pouch! I have read it like 100 times. My best Friend aside from Prismo is Kokopelli! He is a bit shy and is afraid of alot but i like him! He's cute! I wouldn't mind hooking up with him! Maybe when we both get a bit older. I dont really know what else to tell you!

Inside Meri's pouch you will find a paperback copy of Richard Adams' Watership Down along with her Tree Kangaroo Plushie Glomp. She also has random odds and ends stored in there. Such as, a needle and thread to repair Glomp when needed, and what ever food she has gathered.

-Meet Glomp-

Glomp's Ref
If there's anything that people who've met Meri knows, it's that she loves Tree kangaroos, even more than she loves dragonflies. Probably why she ended up with this adorable plushie. For the life of her she wouldn't be able to tell you just how old Glomp was, just that she's had him since she was first able to see. Glomp was the first and only plushie she ever held any interest for and she was Meri's primary source of comfort when she was out on her travels, even as a youngster! Glomp's taken her fair share of tumbles and falls, but with the Handy Meri and her sewing kit, she's never taken a fall she couldn't recover from. Meri doesn't really know why, but this plushie holds a very dear spot in her heart and she'd probably die of worry if anything happened to her.

{ name;; Lula - The name 'Lula' is shortened off 'libélula', which means dragonfly in Spanish. Therefore, the name Lula, means 'Squid' in Portuguese c: I chose this name because I think it sounds graceful, and it also links to how the design is based off a dragonfly.

{ personality;; Lula is very carefree, and tries to enjoy life as much as she can. Although she's quite shy, once you get to know her she's very bouncy, chatty and friendly! Usually, Lula is at the very end of her back garden where a little stream runs past. That's where the dragonflies are, and she loves them! When she's happy, scared or just needs someone to talk to, she'll talk to them. She seems to have some kind of connection with them because they can understand each other! Some describe her as 'wild' due to this ability, and also the fact that she loves being out in the open. Another thing Lula loves to do is socialize with her friends. Nothing means more to her than them, and she never wants to let them go <3

{ short story;; I am using the three words "key", "curtains" and "cricket" in my story.

"Where is it..." Lula exclaimed, rummaging through a red chest of clothes, accessories and figurines. At last she found it, sighing with relief and clutching a golden key in her jaws. Running to the front door, she dropped the key and pulled a bell which opened the door, then she grabbed the key again and dashed out. As Lula trotted peacefully in the daylight, she gazed at the sky, watching a grey cloud approaching. She knew icy rain was on her way, so being sprinting ahead of her own shadow. She made a sudden stop as she realised a rabbit hole beneath her paws, then called down it, waiting for someone. After a good two minutes, a lime green cricket emerged, looking awfully grumpy and tired. "Sorry to bother you, Mr. Cricket, but I need you to tell me the secret," Lula explained, showing him the key. Mr. Cricket nodded, looked around, then whispered something in her ear. She nodded and thanked him, then rushed off back home. On her way, she felt the predicted rainfall start, dripping on her nose causing her to sneeze. Sitting down in front of a pair of curtains, she held the key out to them, whispering a code somewhat like "Alov de nassayi...". The room made a loud whirring noise, then the curtains opened, blinding light piercing out. Lula shuffled her paws, thinking that she shouldn't go after all, but then a voice started whispering, "come, Lula. This is your destiny. Ever since you were a child you've waited for this moment..." She sighed and closed her eyes, drooping her head like a dead flower. "I can't miss this chance..." she thought to herself, then leapt into the light. Another whirr was heard, then she was gone...

More of an accessory she is only seen when doing her hobby, but she often wears a camera around her neck, as she loves photography.
