Karunschadel is based off the German "Tarnung Schädel" meaning 'camouflage skull ' Because the white marking on the face reminded me of tribal/ancient painting on the face that often represented skeletal structure and served to camouflage and intimidate. (And his cute little horns <3)

Personality:

Sneaky and a little creepy, Than lurks around in the dark, scaring other WTEs senseless. He doesn't care much for others, and he doesn't have heart, some WTEs say. He keeps to himself most of the time and doesn't like to associate with others. He lives alone in the dark, and a rumor has it that he keeps dead WTEs in his cave. Also, when the light reflects off of his gleaming coat, the stripes on his body make him look like a horse skeleton. He can also hear death spirits, and can foreshadow when a WTE will die. Than can easily hide his emotions, he has very little and none of them are happy. He hates when others try to invade his privacy and hates when pthers try to make him happy. He loves the cold, and it is hard for him to keep friends. Lastly, no one has ever tried to become his friend, because they are scared that he will keep their soul, as another legend says.

The ka, translated as "double" from Egyptian, is what represents a person's double, or what we call a spirit or soul. It is created at the same time as the actual body. It was commonly believed that the ram-headed god, Khnum, would create the ka on his pottery wheel when you were born. Your ka wohld live on after your body had died, and it was thought that when you died you 'met your ka'. The ka would exist in the physical world and resided in the tomb, or 'The House of the Ka". It would have the same needs of a living human, and would have to eat and drink and such. This was why the Egyptians left food and drinks and other earthly possessions inside tombs, so the ka could use them.

He kind of fit the description of a ka to me. I mean, he looks unearthly, but yet from the earth, and somewhat egyptian...

WTE Age: 11 years.

Personality: Ka is a very special boy, usually a lurker for the most part. He has a very shy temperament, and tries to blend in the best he can. On a normal day, he will just sort of "skirt" the forest, acting like a watchdog during the day. At night he will sleep standing, one eye open towards the herd, keeping watch between drifting off in periods. Besides being a very protective guard of others, he occasionally will show a few down-to-earth foals a few of his favorite secret spots for watching creatures in, including a crystal-clear pond full of rainbow-tinted fish.

One of his few pleasures is gnawing on corn meant for deer. He is extremely cautious around humans after being mistaken for a deer by a hunter once and getting his horn pierced by an arrow and running around with a strange object always in his view that he couldn't escape. A safer hobby is also to run around and herd bunnies back into their burrows. Overall, he is extremely acute with his senses, and can be extremely nice if you can get near him long enough to interact.

Personality: This young WTE has a somewhat depressing attitude. For some odd reason he just dislikes being around others. He is a somewhat secretive equine, and wishes to never share feelings with others in fear of being rejected. He has very dramatic mood swings that can hurt not only others but himself. This awkward equine is not good around others, and can be clumsy in the presence of mares.
