Asherah
A near-Eastern mythological name of an ancient Israelite goddess.
It translates to "she who walks in the sea".
I chose this because of the gorgeous blue color of her orb, but also because of her particular fondness for water and the salty air of the ocean.

Hazan often calls her "Era" for short.
In private, though, he often teases her lovingly by referring to her as his "goddess".

Her elegance and shy demeanor leaves no room for confusion.


Very quiet and standoffish, Asherah is often mistaken for being mute, but this is not the case. In all actuality, Asherah if actually just extremely shy and doesn't have a brave bone in her body. She prefers familiar comforts rather than new experiences, and is easily scared or spooked by anything that crawls, stings, bites, moves quickly- basically, anything that will either hurt her or run away before she knows what it is. She was a very fearful individual in her younger days, when she was often alone with no one to cling to. As she's gotten older most of that fear has subsided, but she still tends to be nervous in new places, situations, or around new people.

Also because she grew up unfamiliar with the idea of jumping dimensions, she doesn't particularly like the idea. She actually grew up on a remote island in the human world, so she prefers to stay close to home. But at her best, Era is the sweetest, most caring Dasani you could ever hope to meet. She never judges anyone until she's gotten to know you extensively, and she naturally tries to find the good in someone. She's just the type that you look at her, and you know that she'd be happy to help with whatever's wrong, and she'll listen without complaint or bias.

Around Hazan, though, she's completely different. Era becomes talkative, loving to just chat and snuggle with her mate. She's very touch-oriented, and loves to have some sort of contact between them. She also takes on a more playful persona, and often takes part in an extensive game of chase, nearly flying up and down the beach with the larger male hot on her heels before they take the chance to cool down in the clear ocean waters.

Hazan and Asherah actually share theme songs, as all the
songs describe them together rather than their
separate personalities.

Era actually has a little companion that she carries with her, since the couple spend most of their time in the human world. His name is Toya ("Toy-uh"), and he's an albino hermit crab. Era found him all alone when she was on a beach walk with Hazan, and after a little bit of coaxing the hermit took shelter in her warm neck fur. Ever since, they've been inseparable. Now, Toya's shell is a lovely golden color, while the inside is a calming ocean blue, compliments of his Dasani guardians.


Era's personal task as a Dasani is to color the sky and the ocean around hers and Hazan's island, depending on the weather. She particularly enjoys the task, and finds it very relaxing. One thing she does absolutely adore, though, is tricking Hazan every now and again. She'll color a portion of sand blue for him, and then he'll have to go behind her and fix the color.

This is a shared piece, showing the couple about to begin painting the human world.
As a pair, they're responsible for the sun, the midday sky, and the green vegetation.
I wanted to make it much better, but I ran out of time.
Plus I'm having a relapse of illness, so I need to go get some sleep.
