Equus Cabballus or Equus/Ec for short are horse like creatures that live up in the mountains they were a gift to the earth from the goddess Epona and now they roam free the difference between the E and normal horses is not only their unnatural marking but also their loyalty. Once an Equus has acknowledged you as its owner it will be forever loyal to you and no other.

Equus Cabballus Name Masked Ball
Gender Female
Height 17.5hh
Personality Quiet and reserved, Masked Ball is a gentle mare and can be easily spooked by loud noises, sudden movements and even others if her own kind. She's scared of everyone and will need a lot of coaxing just to take a pale of water, let alone riding itself. It takes a long time to build her trust, but once one does, she's pretty much loyal forever, following you around and nudging you every so often for a treat of some sort. Once one gets at the scared mask she hides behind, you'll find she's actually quite a spirited little mare, protective of others and gets on well with other horses.
Naturally though, that all depends if you can get her out of her hard little shell.

I run through the forest, the chains from my belt clanging as I sprinted down the old, worn path. I had to get home, and quickly before it got dark - none had lived to tell the tale. I had to get out now, and fast. Turning a corner, I swept away the foliage with my hands, fighting against the vegetation to find a way out of this wicked place. Seeing a glade up ahead, I slowed down, and once I reached it I sat down upon the moss, resting before continuing on towards the river.
And that was when I heard it; the low growl, the dark fur through the leaves. I froze, my eyes scanning the area around with a terrified gaze. It couldn't be, surely not....?
A wild mountain wolf.
I could see it now, prowling through the vegetation. There were others too, coming around from each corner of this little glade, their tails swishing behind them and their jaws opened, showing menacing ivory incisors, wickedly sharp. The growling that had once been quiet was now raising in volume, their growls attracting others around. There was nowhere to run - I was trapped in this living circle of canines.
I silently cursed under my breath. I should have known they were out tonight - we had seen them often enough, dark shadows clinging to the trees near my village. How could I have forgotten? It was unlike me to forget like that, certainly -
My thoughts were cut off, stopped in it's tracks as one of the dogs leapt forward, catching a part of my coat; the fabric was ripped within seconds, the canid pulling the whole thing off me and disappearing into the shadows. I would have yelled, called for help, but there was nothing to be done - these were intelligent creatures and if I attempted to escape, they would easily catch me; the incident with the coat had already shown their quick, swift reflexes.
There was nothing to be done.
I, effectively, was finished.
Looking around at the crowd of dogs sprawled around me, I lost hope, closing my eyes as the dogs grew closer, menacingly swishing their tails with a bloodthirsty look in their eyes.
Then came a flash of pure, white light, the sounds of the dogs yelping and whining in pain as they disappeared into the undergrowth. The sound of hooves on the rock outcrops around the area could be heard, along with the sounds of rustling leaves, as if the dogs were running, attempting to get away from me. But how could this be? Perhaps I was in heaven; perhaps I had already died....this couldn't be real.
Hesitantly, gingerly, I opened my eyes.
Before me stood a tall equine with long, slender legs, stripes and patterns upon her coat. But her pelt colours weren't the things that made me stare.
It was her icy blue eyes, pools of glittery blue; irises which seemed to not be only blue but the entire rainbow spectrum, glittering like sequins in the darkness. The light had long vanished now, but her white pelt and dark markings still seemed to have captured that light, giving the colours a radiance.
Her eyes looked into mine; two pupils meeting my own, locked in a gaze.
