Name of Shionnix: April
Gender: Female
Personality: Normally a happy care-free personality but can be pretty mean at times when people make her mad, she can get mad easily but she lets it go easily. She likes to have fun and is shy when it comes to meeting new Shionnix. April doesn't have much confidence in herself and she will announce it. She never thought she was going to fly. Her favorite place is home up in their tree dens and that's the only way she likes being in the air. She gets nervous and can't believe in herself.
Story: April was really named after the month she was born in, which isn't really normal but she grew into the name quickly. April's moods change quickly just like the weather in the month. April has this special "friend" who is really just a butterfly but it seems to follow her around, it glows sometimes when April gets in a foul mood and it calms her down. On a random day she will follow that thing for hours on end walking around with it through their floating land. One day it led her to this small cave that had weird drawings on the sides, they were drawings of her species but that was about all she could make out. She noticed how majestic they were, they looked brave and bold from what she could see. April liked to spend time in that cave trying to figure out what these drawings were about. One day when she had gotten mad about her training session she deceased to take a walk to the cave and she kept on getting madder after thinking about the stupid session. When she arrived at the cave her blue markings started to glow, this had never happened before so it suprised her. Her crescent shape on her hind flank started to glow brighter and when she looked at the cave drawings she noticed more started to appear as her glowing got brighter. She saw their floating islands but they weren't floating, they were on the ground. She looked over next to it and saw many of her species having what looked like a battle with large wolves. Then the next thing she knew she saw her island floating up slightly and the large wolves trying to reach I by jumping but it didn't work. She had figured it out, the drawings were about how her species had gotten separated and how they developed over time and grew faster, better at flying and more agile. But then as soon as she had figured it out she noticed her glowing markings were dimming. She looked around and at herself and was shocked, all the drawings would go away! "No, what? No this can't happen I have to see the drawings. No!" But it was to late they were gone and she wasn't glowing. She sat down with a huff and closed her eyes. She still had them in her memory. When April got back to her parents she wanted to keep quiet in case they told her to never go there again. But she had a bad habit of mumbling when she sleeps, and she sleeps next to her parents. One night her dad woke her up with a soft nudge. She looked up at him startled and he motioned for her to get up and follow. April nodded and followed slowly, "What's this all about?" she asked him. "I heard you mumbling I your sleep about a cave and butterfly. And I wanted to ask you was what is it?". April sighed "You promise you won't tell mom?" she asked. He nodded a yes, so she spoke "We'll there was this butterfly that would continually pester me. It seemed like it wanted me to follow. So one day I did and it led me to this cave and lit up all these drawings. It surprised me at first but afterwards I realized how cool it was.… You really promise you won't tell right?" he nodded and then started to make his way back to their dens. April stopped him before they entered their den, "Dad, I just wanted to say thank you and I love you" she said and walked inside with a smile.
The next morning …
April left to go for a walk and think about the drawings and about her life, what she would do with it. She left without saying goodbye and headed off into he deep forest. She felt the small rays of sunlight, poking in through the trees, warming her pelt. The only thing it didn't warm was the shadows under her wings. She thought about the drawings first and how they got there. Shionnix couldn't hold objects with their paws.… so they must have just been in her mind. Either way she questioned them and their existence. She also questioned her existence. Why was she on this planet? She was just an ordinary Shionnix who couldn't fly all that well. In fact she had just figured out what she was going to do today. April decided she'd go towards a small waterfall or valley if she could find one. She walked for a decent amount of time, being her clumsy self she tripped over many twigs and protruding roots. After reaching a small valley she stood at the edge letting the wind brush through her fur and lift her wings slightly. She ruffled her wings and sighed "Well… I hope I don mess this up. Maybe ill be able to fly for more than 5 feet" she sighed under he breath. When a big gust of wind blew by she ran for the edge and slammed her feet into the ground. She stopped and decided it wasn't time yet. But the valley decided it wanted her to fall down into it. She flew over the edge and rolled down into the valley. She slammed into a tree with a thud. She groaned as she slowly got up. She needed to learn how to fly. She limped up to the top of the valley again and waited for a large gust of wind. When it came it lifted her a couple inches off he ground. She flapped her wings crazily and tried pushing forward. She didn't want to look down and continued to flap until she had it calmed down. April gained enough courage to look down and noticed she was high in the sky. She shivered with excitement and forgot to keep flapping. As she started to fall she noticed how silent her wings really were... like an owl's. As she neared the ground she started flapping again first quickly and then more slow and powerful. She gave a sigh of relief, "Being able to fly now is one of the best things I've done with myself" she said quietly.
ONE optional extra: (can be art, likes/dislikes, favorite thing,etc.)April likes well the month April and likes how the weather changes, but really her Favorite thing is that cave it is her place of serenity and peace and she enjoys staying there for days on end, it is really her favorite thing.
