Short Story;;
Steelic Frowned down into the puddle. It was full of mud and gravel. This human world is pitiful... He thought in his mind with disgust. He padded onward down the narrow street. It was completely abandoned. Steelic liked it this way. his home was always being disturbed by the noisy humans and now they were finally gone. Where to? he had no idea. He didn't really keep up to date with those filthy creatures. In any case, they were gone and he could finally have some peace. He paws stung from the tiny shards of glass that pricked his feet. What good were those hu... his thoughts were suddenly disrupted by he wailing of something that sounded like a dying cat. He quietly crept up to where the sound was coming from. It was a dark alley and the little human was barely visible. Steelic squinted through the shadows. Sitting in the farthest corner next to a garbage can, a tiny male human was curled into a ball. He was crying. Steelic spat at the road. It was just an offspring of those horrid humans. And, he couldn't stand its constant wailing. Steelic approached the child in an attempt to silence it. Steelic hadn't even done anything yet and the little creature quieted down. The small human boy climbed shakily to his feet. Steelic decided he couldn't stay long. he had to get back to his pack mates. But, for everything Steelic was,-mean, bitter, silent, grumpy and more-, He couldn't leave this little boy. Try and try as he might he just couldn't turn around and leave him. he couldn't even growl to scare the little one off. The small boy started towards Steelic. Involuntarily, Steelic started to walk towards the boy. The boy stopped and so did Steelic. A puzzled look came over the child.
"Boy"
Steelic whispered. The child looked at Steelic.
"Can you talk?"
The boy shook his head. Steelic sat down. Steelic wondered over something. He was only an omega, its not like he could do much but, he might be able to take the boy with him. He wasn't sure how well that would work out though. He didn't think their leader would appreciate a rotten human in the pack. "Hmm" Steelic stood up and walked over to the boy. He was wearing torn and dirty clothes that looked pretty thin. If there was one thing he knew about humans, it was that they needed to stay warm or they would die. The clothes the boy was wearing would not keep him warm. Steelic had already established the fact that he couldn't leave the boy. Steelic made up his mind.
"Little one. Whats your name?"
The boy shrugged.
"Fine, then ill just call you......Well..we'll figure that out later, come with me. You need warmer clothes.
The boy nodded and followed Steelic out of the alley. Steelic looked behind him and realized the boy was only human and didn't have tough paws like him. He grumbled a sigh and padded over to the kid.
"Get on my back."
The kid looked utterly confused. Steelic rolled his eyes.
"Im going to carry you. You'll hurt your pa..er..feet if you walk without something covering them."
The little boy scrambled up onto Steelic's back. The boy was much lighter than he expected him to be. Steelic bounded down the street.
"Hold on!"
He shouted to the boy, who was surprisingly calm. Steelic knew just where to go. It must have been late though because the sky had gone dark. As Steelic darted down the street, he secretly and subconsciously promised himself something. He had no idea why. And his pack mates would probably kill him for this. But, he promised he would take care of and protect this little boy.
Pfft..Man, how the heck am i gonna do this?
"Oh well." He laughed into the wind as he ran.
This should be interesting.
