GoS #41 - Black

Postby Soph6297 » Tue Nov 06, 2012 8:31 am

A late Halloween Guardian has been discovered. C:
To get him you have to do either a piece of art of him or write a short story (max. 2 Paragraphs) about he met other Guardians and how where their reaction when they met him.

Light. He'd never known the meaning of the word, locked away in the depths as he'd been. For years and years he'd... well, lived wasn't the word for it. Survived. Endured, perhaps, but in any case, he'd gone on without truly living. Each day was the same in this realm of darkness: he ate when he was hungry, slept when he was tired, with no concept of the passing of time. He must have had parents, somehow, somewhere, but he never knew them. Language was a foreign thing to him, as he was the only one of his kind in the abyss, until, one fateful day, voices lured him from his hiding place. Two young colts had dared each other to explore the depths, and were slowly but steadily approaching him. He had no way of knowing what they were saying, but their joyous laughter called to him, and he found himself wandering from his home for the first time in his life.

What he found completely overthrew life as he knew it- these strange noisy creatures were like him! He showed himself to them, curious, and was even more puzzled when they fled from him in fear. What did they have to be afraid of? He was one of the least intimidating creatures in the entire abyss! So he returned to his home, returning periodically to the place he'd seen his fellow creatures, until finally they returned. But these were not the same adventurous foals he'd last seen. These were full-grown adults, and though he was much larger than any of them, they had numbers on their side. They saw him as some monster, some beast to be feared, and approached with the full intention of chasing him off. Yet, one bold young female pleaded for just a moment to question the stranger. He had no clue what her noises meant, of course, but something about his gentle, shy demeanor was enough to convince them that he was, indeed, a fellow Guardian. The gentle giant was fascinated by the others, trailing after them for a while before becoming frightened and darting away. Slowly, as days turned to months, the persistent Guardians were finally able to coax him to brighter waters. He was enthralled by the bright lights, and though some shunned him, others were friendly enough to help; though, really, what they thought of him didn't matter. He was so enthralled by the new-found light that nothing could chase him away.

Where the Guardian used to live: To this day, is isn't quite sure how he wound up there, or even how long it had been his home, but for years he had dwelled deep in an abyss. It was a realm of complete and utter darkness, where few attempted to live and even fewer survived. Of the monsters there, he was probably the least terrifying, but that didn't stop others from being scared of him. Many thought he was some sort of ghost, a demon, even undead. For at the very bottom of the pit was the skeleton of a whale, the gleaming white bones settled deep into the mud. He lived among the rib-cage of the massive beast, his skeletal markings surprisingly helpful in blending in. A bit macabre, yes, but it saved his life more than once. Needless to say, once he saw the glory of the sun, he had no intention of going back.

Art/Story: Art: Image Story: Darksider is one of the most-feared creatures in a part of the ocean that is called as legend, he terrorize all and he rivals all other carnivores there, he don't care about if they are much bigger or the greatest bad asses. he have some wounds on his dark scales, that you can't see, these wounds he have from the biggest carnivore that had ever live in the ocean, a liopleurodon. he often rivals with this big king of the ocean, but nobody from them give up against the other. maybe someday they will fight to death.
Where the Guardian used to live: He lives in the darkest, badest and most dangerous part of the ocean. Everybody say this part of the ocean is just a legend, because it is full of big carnivoures. Even creatures, that are normally quite and lovelly, will get to dangerous beasts in this ocean. (in the jurassic it should have gave such a ocean, with many, many big carnivores... i don't want to swim there XD)

edit: added the picture and correct some faults.

Where the Guardian used to live: (hint: make it scary >:D) in a deep trench where his red eyes glowed in the dangerous dark depths, his white flashing in the shadows, where light is lacking. He made his home their where fish with luminicious parts created most of the light, and revealed long sharp teach, and unseeing eyes, preying for unsuspecting victims. This is where he loved, a place of dark crevices and craggy outcrops, before they dropped lower into the dark abyss. This is the place he called home, a place where he hid his secret of death a place where death was accepted. A place unknowing to others, that is until now....

Withdrawing, I got my lovely first GoS :D

Username: rocco-loco
Name: Damien Hien, where Damien is taken from the show "The Omen" and Hien (Vietnamese) meaning "gentle and quiet"
I chose this name to show that he is like a bad omen, thus giving the impression that he is someone evil and scheming. However, that is just his physical appearance. In actual fact, he is really kind and gentle, someone of few words. He is only just being misunderstood by everyone else, that's why he is often seen alone and by himself.
Gender: Male
Age: 132 years
Art/Story: PS. Since I need to tell a story about how he met other Guardians, I used some names of the previous GoS that have been adopted. I've asked for their permission and they agreed to let me use their names(:
The names I've used are Astra (GoS #12), Caesar (GoS #20), Serpent (GoS #23), Benatov (GoS #35).

"Do not ever, ever look into his eyes." A mysterious skeleton figure of a GoS had recently been spotted and was rumored that if you did look into his eyes, you would be turned to stone. Benatov chuckled, "That is interesting. I have to find out more about that GoS." Astra stared wide-eyed at Benatov, exclaiming, "Tove, are you mad? What if those rumours were true?" Spotting the two excited GoS, Caesar and Serpent swam over. Eyes sparkling, Caesar teased, "Are you talking about the guy who is still in his Halloween mood?" Shocked, Astra shoved him lightly, "Don't make fun of him! What if he attacks you?" "Actually, I'm pretty interested to find out too," Serpent added quietly. Suddenly, a small movement in the shadows caught Benatov's eye. Catching a glimpse of a red glow, she mumbled, "He's here."

Inching forward, Benatov coaxed, "C'mon, we won't hurt you." Following closely was Caesar and Serpent. They added, "Yeah, we just want to get to know you." Suddenly, in one swift motion, Benatov was dragged into the shadows. Yelping in shock, she exclaimed, "What are you doing?" Whipping around, she came face to face with the bony figure and found herself staring into two glowing blood red orbs. Realising that she had not turned to stone, Benatov sighed in relief. "Are you not afraid of me?" a deep, husky voice broke the silence. Staring hard at the bony figure, Benatov replied firmly, "I'm not." "But your friends seem to be." Screams and shouts could be heard from the distance. "Tove! Tove, come out!" "Benatov, fight back hard!" "Don't fall, keep strong!" Facing the figure again, Benatov said softly, "My name is Benatov, and I know you have been misunderstood for such a long time that you're also afraid to go out and meet new friends. Your appearance scares everyone, so you just hide yourself, thinking that you're no good, right? It's alright though, I feel for you. Come with me, and they shall know who you truly are." Benatov then stretched out her arm, waiting patiently for him to take it. The unblinking blood red orbs never faltered as they stared at her in disbelief. After what seemed like forever, he took her arm, saying, "Hello, Benatov. My name is Damien Hien."

Where the Guardian used to live: Pitch black was all there ever was. Deep down in the dark sea, buried beneath the shadowy earth, a giant dark box lay solemnly. Slowly, it rumbled, the lid creaking upward. As the soil scurried off the cover, the faint blue light cast its rays onto it, reflecting a maroon glow from the box. Gradually, the lid heaved off the box. Plomp! A pair of blood red eyes glowed in the dim light as the bony figure eased its way out, taking in a deep breath, a sinister smile was plastered on its face. Sighing with pleasure, it escaped into the depths of the sea.

Username: Queen Chrysalis
Name: Mehphisto
Gender: Male
Age: 132 years
Art/Story: He swum through the clear water. His red eyes taking in the sighs of colorful fish and coral as his powerful tail cut a smooth path through the blue water. These waters were a lot different from his former home as were the creatures and plants that lived in them, it was so much brighter and friendlier.

Mehphisto jumped slightly as a grey creature made itself known by poking him in the side with it's nose and squeaking and creaking noisily. He huffed at the grey marine creature as it swum circles around him. He lightly nudged it with his muzzle and it made the sounds at him again and continued to swim around him; so distracted as he was the dark Guardian didn't notice something sneaking up on him. A soft nicker in his ear caused the dark stallion to whinny in fright and almost jump behind a nearby patch of coral. He poked his head up and over the top of it and was shocked to see an equine built just like himself swimming around with the grey creature. The coat was deep brown with brighter markings of orange and gold adorning it, this new Guardian also had no neck decoration with attached pearl unlike himself.

Where the Guardian used to live: Mehphisto formerly lived in the darkest and deepest trench known to man kind. He lived there a fair down along with Angler fish and other deep sea creatures including a giant squid. It was dark down there and for most of his life Mehphisto lived there happily. There we no monsters there unless you counted the things other creatures found scary, such as himself with the odd markings that adorned his dark coat. Sometimes he felt truly alone down there in the darkness.
