I just want to say I really loved yours and Queen Chrysalis's forms for this 'girlie'. Though I could only pick one. I have to say I was conflicted to which personality she would have because they both fit very well.

Though in the end I ended up choosing the more tragic background for her. It also inspires me that she'll come across one of the other herds quite easily. I really loved your name you choose and her over all out look on life even despite her forest being cut down.

Wish I could make a runner up but don't lose hope Chrysalis. I will be doing other flora designs in the future. ;3

This Whelkon grew up in a rather flora filled forest; which explains also the blue stained tail and legs. It rained quite a bit there.

Hopefully this guy is up to your standards Windsong. I based him off a place in Guildwars without it being too obvious. The flora there actually had bright pink and I didn't want to make this one too vivid.

My username is "T o o t h l e s s ;", although I am quite happy for you to call me Toothy. Similarly, you may call me Toothless, or Tiger, as "MasterTigress Lover" was my last username.

Whelkon Name:

I would name this Whelkon Aakil, meaning "intelligant". I chose this name, because she looks very intelliagant, proud and the type who would know quite a bit about healing.

Gender:

Aakil would be a female, a she-whelkon, or whatever you wanted to call her gender.

Brief History:

It was the clearest night a mother had ever seen, when an Ancient Whelkon mother walked into a cave, surrounded by a beautiful flora forest, and gave birth to a very intelligant looking Whelkon; with traces of slight pink or purple stripes, from her mother's side, and mainly blue, from her father's side. The mother was somewhat old, and gave the Whelkon the name "Aakil", for her intelligant look.
Aakil grew up, and became more curious and intelligent as she grew even more so. Until her curiousity - without meaning to - meant the death of her mother, and her father went into deep greif. Her father would stay inside the birthing den almost all day, and would hardly eat, which made Aakil rather worried, of course.
One day, Aakil's father passed away, and Aakil too was left in greif, yet not as much greif as her father was in. She became frightened at the prospect of surviving on her own; however, it came naturally, as instict. She lived in the forest where she was born - until it's floral features where chopped down by humans to create a new estate, in which the Whelkons felt forced to move, since their forest was being demolished.

Personality:

Aakil is a quiet, independent Whelkon, who will put her heart and soul into helping others, but would always refuse to work with them all the time, unless it was actually needed for survival. She is trusting and calm, yet will panick if something spooks her, as she is easily spooked. She cannot run very fast, yet displays a skill for jumping.
Aakil is better at healing than at fighting. She can defend one mentally, but would hate to be forced into a physical battle. She is a peace-keeper to the Whelkon species.

Brief History:
Nightlily's parents were abusive. They expected her to find food and made her sleep outside her den. She was starved and hurt. She ran away one night. She ran and ran, her hooves aching with every step. Soon, she saw a herd. She followed them for awhile, her insides debating whether to join or not. Her might was in turmoil. Then, she fainted. Her body couldn't handle going wihtout food for so long. She woke up with the herd staring at her. She was healed and brought into the herd.
Personality: Due to her abusive childhood, she is shy to all elder Whelkons. She needs cement-solid proof that they will never hurt her. She is easily startled, and will buck and bite whoever startled her. She is also a kind and gentle Whelkon to those who are hurt.

Whelkon Name: Serenade

Gender: Female

Brief History: I grew up in forest full of bright and colorful flowers. I always wandered through them when I was small and they ended rubbing off on me. Seriously, I can't remember not having these awesomely bright markings that adorn my body now, I mean the brightness of them is so much fun to look at. I remember when I woke up to find these markings.

I had just left my mother so my father could teach me about my ancestry and about what I was. I would always stare up at him in wonder listening intently as he painted pictures with his words; every so often he'd look down at me and bark out a laugh at my intense gaze. I loved my father very much and having him teach me about everything was so much fun, it was the best fun a Whelk could ask for.

So one morning I woke up to find my father staring at me. "Sweetie, what are those marks on your coat?" He asked me, I blinked and turned my eyes to my coat, sure enough my coat was now covered in markings of varying brightness. "WOW" I chirped excitedly and sprang up and started to spin around trying to get a better look at my new patterns. Father found this very entertaining and loved me despite of my new markings, he continued to teach me until I grew up into a beautiful Whelkan.

I stayed in this bright forest while my father went back to my mother so they could live in peace. I am the guardian of this forest the inhabitants trust me to keep them safe from humans and that's what I do and what I always will do.

Personality: Serenade is a bright and cheeky female. She's always cheerful and can be found bounding through the forest she grew up in, happily being covered in the uniquely bright pollen. She irritates easily and does tend to snap when she's in a bad mood. Sometimes she does get carried away when she teases another and that can get her into trouble which she can wriggle her way out of if she finds the right words. She is a determined protector of her forest and will do anything to keep it the way it is while still keeping to the peaceful ways of the Whelkon species as whole.
