What is a Jellybean Dragon?
A Jellybean Dragon is a fluffy, friendly dragon that hatches from a jellybean-like egg. Their diet consists of fruits and insects, but they also love sweets and desserts. Their fur is soft and long, usually brightly colored and it's always neat and shiny. Jellybean Dragons are gentle and happy, and love attention. Most are Great Dane-sized when they are fully grown, but some of them can grow as big as a cow. All Jellybean Dragons have pouches on their bellies, which they use to carry around food or younger JBDs.

Personality: Avia is smart, funny, caring, and calm. She is a wonderful friend to have. She has a wonderful vocabulary, speaking with the utmost grace. She uses fancy words, that confuse her in-eloquent friends. She sometimes annoys her friends by using words that they don't understand, and then not explaining what they mean. She hates getting into trouble, and tries to make sure her friends don't do things that will potentially get them into trouble. She is always saying "Careful!", "Put that down!", "Don't touch that!", "Be gentle!", "Don't do that!", "Put it down gently!", "You're too big for it!", etc. She is very modest, and gets very embarrassed when you complement her.

Short Story:

Plot: Avia has been thrown forward in time by an unusual anomaly. The world has grown wild, and the animals, having been genetically engineered by Humans, have turned wild, killing anything in sight. Most, if not all, humans are long gone, having been killed by their own handiwork.

Viri Avia stalked through the bushes, eyes wide with fear. Her heart was pounding against her ribs, and her fur was soaked through with sweat. *Where am I?* She asked herself. *What's going on? WHEN am I? Please! Someone! Help me!* a deep throat-ed roar sounded nearby, and the poor blue dragon ran in the opposite direction. *It's coming!* She thought, horror coursing through her veins and making her speed up considerably. Suddenly she felt a presence at her side, and looked left to see her friend, Katali, racing beside her.

"Katali!" Avia exclaimed.

"It's coming!" gasped the golden and white dragon, eyes so wide you could see the whites. "Oh! SOMEONE! Help us!" She wailed.

"SHHHH!" Avia pleaded, feeling her muscles beginning to weaken.

Katali shook her head. "It's no use." She sobbed.

Suddenly a colossal wall loomed up in front of them. There was one small door at the base, and there were guns perched atop huge towers, aimed straight at the incoming animals.

"Oh no!" Avia whispered.

The creature was still careening after them, and now it was beginning to catch up.

"If there is anyone there, PLEASE LET US IN!" Katali shrieked. "We mean no harm!"

Katali stumbled and fell, chin scraping the ground painfully. The little door opened and Viri Avia shot inside, unaware that her friend had fallen. She spun round as she entered. She let out a wail of horror to see that the golden dragon had fallen, and the lion-like creature was almost upon her.

"KATALI!" She yowled, starting back out. She was held back by strong hands, and she turned to see a man, his face almost hidden by hair, gripping a gun.

"Leave her." he said quietly, his voice rusty.

"I can't let her die!" Avia sobbed.

"You can't help her..." came the reply.

The monster snapped up Katali, and carried her away. The, now blood-red, dragon hung limply from it's jaws.

"No... Katali..." Avia croaked, tears welling up in her eyes.

"Come with me." The man said, turning and walking away into the darkness.

The blue dragon had no choice but to follow him. The small door slammed shut behind her, and she heard the sharp "Shhhhnk" of the locks being bolted. *Oh Katali... What have I done?*

Why do I want her? : Well... For a start, my other JBD, Blu-fli, is lonely, and wants a partner in fun. Secondly, I am in love with her design, and would be honoured to be her owner. Thirdly, I've not won a JBD since Blu-fli, and would really love it if I won Avia here.

What would I do with her? : I would roleplay her, draw her constantly, find her a mate, friends, and family.

It was really cold in there. Really dark too. The ceiling is so high. Cracked roof i can hear howls. they sounded like a wolves cry. Skylia shivers. She takes out a book titled "The Haunted House". Hmmm. She flickered her eyes. The book read "Do not go upstairs". So Skylia didn't. The grand entrance had ripped red carpets with golden yellow trimming. Skylia looked back the door creeked. Strange. That never got mentioned in the book said Skylia in a small scared voice.

҉ Story 2 ҉
Skylia walked a bit into the main living room. A large couch many photo's of old JBD's. Dressed up in expensive clothing. One of the photo's blinked. Skylia jumped. Skylia decided to leave the large living room and into the grand dining room. The table must of been 23 feet long!, 25 chairs on each side and 1 chair on the 1 foot side. a large light that never opened flicked open. Food mysteriously appeared. Coffee spilled on the table and eventually fell on the dark carpet. Skylia left the room and the house. The door wrote "Go Away!" Skylia decided to run and never go back to the haunted place.

Skylia felt a touch on her elbow, and heard a whisper Never come back!. Skylia said o-o-okay.. and a white fog vanished.

"Ms. Skylia, we have a new case," the police called to Skylia. It was a warm Sunday afternoon and Skylia wanted nothing more to do than to re-read her favorite book, Touching Spirit Bear, but she knew that solving the new mystery was her top-priority for the moment.

"May I ask what the new case is?" Skylia questioned sweetly, lowering her book. She smiled at the friendly police officer who had helped her solve cases before.

"A young JBD arund the age of 18 claims his girlfriend, a billionaire, was murdered!" The police officer answered, pushing the case file over to Skylia. Skylia skimmed over the several documents in the file, tugging at her green feather earring which she commonly did while thinking.

"Does he suspect anyone?" Skylia asked, glancing at her book. How badly she wanted to re-read it at that second!

"He suspects his neighbor and the mini-mart owner both across the street since they are the only ones living near him, but other than that, not really," the police man spoke, fidgeting with his belt.

"We should go investigate then," Skylia answered, walking out the door. Her stomach felt like it flopped over, a familiar feeling that happened everytime she started a new case. A few minutes later they arrived at the young JBD's home, a one-story appartement. Suddenly, a bright-yellow JBD shot out of the apartment, holding a worried look to his face.

"Thank god you're here!" The JBD sputtered. "I don't know what to do!"

Skylia's heart melted when she heard the story of the killing of his girlfriend.

"I was upstairs, watching a documentary about fish, when I heard her suffocating downstairs!" He wailed, but it sounded almost forced. Skylia began tugging at her earring again.

"Should we go question the suspects, Ms. Skylia?" The police man asked, poking Skylia on the shoulder. Suddenly everything fell into place.

"No, I think we have all the proof we need to prove that this man is murderer," Skylia calmly stated.

"M-me? Why would I want to kill the woman I love the most?" The JBD stammered. Skylia smirked. This guy is such a lier, Skylia though to herself, and I can even prove it.

"I don't know, maybe for her money?" Skylia answered. Before anyone could speak, she quickly added, "And I can prove you did it!!"

"You see, earlier this JBD stated he was upstairs watching a documentary when the crime was committed," Skylia stated. The police man nodded to confirm it. Skylia let out a victorious smile. "But you see, that would be impossible. This appartement is one-story, meaning it only has one floor. To watch a documentary upstairs in this building is physically impossible. You can even see he killed her through his poor acting," Skylia smirked.

The police man turned to the shocked JBD. "Is this true?" he asked.

The JBD sighed. "Yes, it is," he mumbled.

Skylia smiled. Another case completed! She thought to herself. Now I can finally read my book!

One Thing; I know the other forms are really long with things like Companion and Accessories, But I have noticed that their personalities and histories are quite short. So I tried to focus on those two things (And of course the art of the JBD reading) before I went on to the extra things. I don't mean to insult anyone though, so sorry if you take this personally!

I think Thistle is a very nice name that describes me very well. I am a delicate, fluffy flower that's beautiful and lively, but I am also prickly and sharp, and can hurt if you touch me. I will poke you, now, so stay away *poke, poke*

Personality:

Thistle is a very friendly Jelly Bean Dragon who loves to be around others. She is quite outgoing and great to be around, since she always sympathizes with you on your problems and always tries to help. She is sweet and thoughtful and often patient, but like everyone she has her flaws. Thistle is extremely cautious and can get terrified at the slightest thing, like a blowing leaf or a squirrel skittering by her in the yard. She also dislikes being surrounded by a LOT of people or other Jelly Bean Dragons and hates to be crowded into a small space.

Although Thistle's flaws are very extreme, she does well to not let them change her daily additude towards life. Thistle always has a good outlook on things, even the worst situations- she likes to look at the 'silver lining' of things. She tries to make others look at things in a good perspective, but she finds is quite difficult to persuade them hat what she says is true in the current situation. Thistle, when she has problems such as these, gives up and ignores everything around her. This can often hurt friendships and relationships and thankfully doesn't happen very often.
So, individually:

Friendly
Thistle is extremely friendly to everyone around her. She tries to make them enjoy the day and always trys to make friends. When it comes to making acquaintances Thistle will never give up and will always try to make others like her. Even if she doesn't succeed Thistle refuses to be enemies and will always try to be friends.

Outgoing
Thistle loves to be around others and express her feelings to other people. She is quite happy around people as long as she isn't, for example, crowded in a room with others. Other than that Thistle loves to be around others and is very comfortable in front of crowds and other people, though she can be shy sometimes.

Sympathetic
Thistle will always try to understand your problems and never judges you instantly, she always asks why you act the way you do before she thinks whether you are a really nice person or a really rude, mean person. She tries to help people with their problems and never tries to hurt you in any way, meaning if she found you with a bleeding cut, even if you were her greatest enemy (not likely), she would dress and clean the cut for you.

Positive
Thistle always tries to have a positive additude and outlook towards life. She never looks at the worst part of things and tries to be positive in the worst situations; she always tries to make other people perk up when they are feeling low. Thistle despises times when there is nothing she can do to make someone else's day a bit brighter.

Cautious
Thistle is very cautious and does not participate in dangerous activities. She also dislikes putting other people into peril. Thistle would gladly let she herself get injured instead of anyone from a complete stranger to her very best friend. Even so, she will not hurt herself for no reason whatsoever. Aso Thistle can get very alarmed at unexpected happenings and sounds.

History:

~Child~
Sunlight dappled her fur as she played with a dead leaf, leaping on it with a squeal. Thistle played until a thunderous noise echoed from the other end of the forest. Scared out of her wits, since she was still just a young JBD, Thistle bolted in the opposite direction of the sound, nearly running into a few tree trunks in the process as she burst into a small field on the outskirts of a town. The noise still echoing in her head, Thistle made a mad dash to the town and bolted under the nearest building- the library.

Thistle soon awoke and stood up, which was a mistake since her head collided with the hard wooden beams of the library. Thistle, caught unawares, squealed suddenly and violently since she had never felt pain like this before. After a couple minutes, after the pain in her head dulled, Thistle crawled timidly out from under the library and immediatly caught the scent of coffee in the library. Drawn to the scent, Thistle darted into the library as the door closed.

A sudden explosion of new sights and smells nearly made Thistle topple over. After losing the scent of coffee, she nosed her way over to the shelves of books and picked one out of the fairytale section- the Thirteen Clocks. As she slowly began to read (She was very new at it) Thistle seemed to drink up the story happily. When she was finished, Thistle placed the book back on the shelf and picked out a new one. This routine carried on until nightfall and, with her eyes drooping, Thistle curled up in a empty space on the bottom shelf.


~Adult~
Thistle crawled out from her sleeping place, a pile of precariously teetering books nearly landing on her head as they toppled to the ground. Putting them back, Thistle left the library, heading straight for the coffee shop that lay just around the corner. After ordering her coffee, Thistle left the small town as she headed down a small beaten path through the forest that lay just on the outskirts of town. Thistle enjoyed the varying amount of scents in smells that comforted her greatly.
Following the trail, Thistle came to a small clearing in the woods. Setting down her coffee she leaped into the air, catching a leaf between her paws and pinning it to the ground. Thistle happily tussled with the leaves for awhile before she picked up her coffee and left the clearing until next time.

Thistle arrived at the library happily and was just about to settle down in her little nook in the bookshelf when the fire alarm blared throughout the building. Jumping up in alarm, Thistle watched in horror as the entire bookshelf toppled over from the force of her blow. Thistle barely recovered from shock in time as she bolted out from under the bookshelf. Thistle began to run to the exit with the crowd of people when a sharp pain in her tail told her she was stuck- the bookshelf has landed on her tail. Thistle could barely choke back a scream when she realized she was trapped- and in her fright she noticed the rising temperature in the library and the smoke that was filling the room.

Thistle was ready to rip off her tail by the time the bookshelf caught fire. Tugging, Thistle watched the fire slowly reach her tail and burn off the furry tip. Just at this precise moment, the bookshelf crumpled into a pile of burning embers and ash, giving Thistle many burns to remember. Thistle, unable to see the door, smashed through the display window and out onto the street where a gaping crowd of people stood, looking at the burning library with dismay and many screaming their heads off through the phone at some poor firemen. Thistle was just glad she was alive as a short nurse led her away from the burning library and into a small emergency vehicle. The nurse explained that they would quickly treat her burns and she would be out of the hospital by the end of the week. Thistle was glad her injuries were not serious.

As she left the hospital the next day (Since she could leave between treatments) Thistle watched a large truck taking hundreds of burnt books to the edge of town, where a junkyard lay. To Thistle’s surprise a book fell from the back of the truck, this certain book not too burnt and rather fine in her standards. Thistle walked up to the edge of the road and picked up the book. Even though the cover was burnt off, as Thistle read the first paragraph of the book she knew immediately which book she had picked up.

Thistle’s Comments
The day had started out so peaceful- me, enjoying memories from my childhood, the sun shining down, everyone happy. I can’t believe that it had to end like that. 3 people died that day, including the wonderful bookkeeper Mr. Charles, and yet nobody knew who (or what) started the fire. It still remains a mystery today.
Even if I have grown back the fluff at the end of my tail, I still remember that day as I pass the new 7-Eleven that stands in the place of the beautiful library as if it happened yesterday. Even though I have found another library, which has been re-homed in a mansion on Applegate Street, I wish that the old library was still here. At least I still have my place in the bookshelf.
