Owner Name:
Mysty Fox
Name:
Hieme Pruinis
Gender:
Male
Personality:
Cold and detached at first Hieme is cool and calculated. He tends to attack first, find friends later. He is a rough one, more likely to hurt in play than others due to his "harsher" reality. He knows what Frost and Freezing can do, and he tends to let it cloud his judgement. But beneath the cold facade, he longs for company and comfort. He wishes to be a part of something more than himself, something living, and warm.
Why do you wish to have him/her:
Besides being the perfect counter-partner for Incept, he is gorgeous. I love how unique he is, and to be honest, I LOVE winter-themes. XD
Where will you keep him/her:
Sig/Character Thread
Would you like to breed him/her in the feature:
Yes
Any Quirks:
Hieme likes to blast Incept with little snowballs, just to annoy her. He loves her and she loves him, but he can be very childish at times. It is in these (rare) moments we see his playful side, rather than his normally cool and reserved side.
Other:
It was a place people spoke with apprehension of. A place one did not linger or laze about in. It was said to be haunted by a vengeful creature that hated being disturbed. And I was detrimined to find out the truth behind the myths.
Stepping through this place of serenity I sigh. It’s beautiful and absolutely gorgeous, this winter wonderland, everything frozen in time and place. Hardly anything moves in this place of chilled presence, and I smile. It is peaceful and I feel myself relax. This cannot be the place of horrors everyone has described.
Glancing around I lean against a tree barren of leaves, and gently soothe my sweet Rune Incept. She peers about, nervous and agitated, but I sense nothing. Her golden gaze continues to rove around, and I sigh. She has been fretful since we stepped into this forest of frost. I do not understand what my phoenix could be so afraid of, especially when I cannot find a single thing that could be fearsome. But I do understand her wisdom, she does know more than I. “Shh, sweetheart.” I whisper, stroking her head gently, her soft squawk echoing around us. Her heat is something I am grateful as I explore this place, the cold has my breath fogging the air in front of me, and my digits tingling. It was as we ventured deeper into the darker parts of the forest that Incept began to fidget even more, and her heavier than normal weight on my shoulder made it obvious.
“Incept… Calm.” I idly stroked her; unsure as a sudden stillness that was eerie stole over the forest. I felt my body shudder and shiver, chills racing up and down my spine as I glanced about. It was only then I knew I should have heeded my sweet Rune’s attempts to turn me around.
It hit me suddenly, knocking me back, slamming me against a tree trunk. I gasped as the oxygen left my lungs and Incept was tossed from my shoulder, “Incept!” I turned, sucking air to look for her, but she was smarter and stronger than I. She was up and moving toward the thing that had attacked.
“No!” I screamed, my shrill cry ripping through the forest even as I heard them clash. Two beautiful runes, both battling it out. One in defense of her owner, the other for its own defense. I fell forward into the snow, as I watched them, swirling and twirling together, one golden and red flames, the other blue and silver frost. Neither seemed to have the advantage, and I could see claws and beaks ripping into each of them.
My heart broke, and I could only think of saving my sweet Incept, the Rune who had saved me! With a calculated lunge I jumped toward the two Runes, and grasped Incept, wrapping her within my thick jacket, even as the other rune continued to rip at me. I bowed my head and looked down at my rune, and tears formed when I saw the scratches and blood that covered her front. “
“I’m sorry Incept… I’m so sorry.” I whispered even as the rune lashed out, until my words stopped. Then nothing. Surprised, I peeked over my shoulder and saw the rune, now sitting on the forest floor, peering at me peculiarly. I shivered as it’s deep gaze bore into mine, chilling me where Incept’s warmed.
It was beautiful, in a very harsh way, and it too, bore wounds from the battle it had just waged. I knew it could probably survive, but my heart wouldn’t let me leave him. It was a rune, not a rock. Slowly I knelt in front of it, and gulping, I held forth a hand toward the creature, fingers outstretched. It looked at me, and then at my hand. I gasped and fought not to jerk back as it snapped at my hand, its beak closing over my finger harshly.
Small crimson dots littered the snow around us, and Incept squawked angrily from her position in my arms, but I needed to get this rune some help. It was my fault after all that it had become injured.
Hand now slippery and freezing I waited for the rune to decide I wasn’t a threat. Then, warily, distrust evident it hopped forward, and I gently touched a finger to its frozen feathers. I felt the quaking of my body increase tenfold as the cold rip through me. The little rune was going to freeze to death! I could only moan softly as I felt my vision freeze over, my heart slow and shudder as it fought to pump the chilled liquid inside me.
I awoke with a jolt, quivering as I looked around, confused as to where I was. I seemed to be in a cave of a sort, but I hadn’t been in a cave… I had been.. “Incept!” I cried out, unable to stop the fear that ripped through me, the tears that threatened to fall. It was only as she hopped onto my knee that I relaxed and I brought her close, stroking her gently. “Oh thank you.” I rubbed my cheek against her head and she nuzzled me back, her amber eyes loving as she did so.
It was only after this I looked around, and I saw him. He sat a few feet away, watching Incept and I embrace, confusion and, could it be? Longing? Slowly I held out my hand, noting the wound, but discarding it for now, and smiled. He eyed my hand, then my face, and slowly he hopped toward me.
He stopped a foot away, his dark gaze watching me, before with a final bound; he landed on my other knee. He sat there, and waited, and I let my hand come to rest on his silvery blue feathers. This time there was no sudden surge of cold washing through me, and he leaned into my touch, ecstasy in his little face as I stroked his back. I chuckled softly, and he opened his eyes at the noise, but didn’t move. It was in that moment I understood the little Rune.
He longed for company, for comfort, but his touch was… Chilling for sure. And now it seemed like he had chosen me, and I him. My gaze landed on his wounds and I looked at Incept. We all bore wounds from our encounter, but the wounds would heal. It was time to go home.
